Great location. Bed was really hard and uncomfortable and apparently they are all the same. Only one flat pillow was provided per person but we did get more on request. Bedroom was also very hot so it meant a poor night sleep on the first night after a late arrival. We thought the air con was not working but was told that the whole building had the air con off and only heating available so the suggestion was to open the window which we had already done. This wasn't ideal considering the light and noise from the side we were on and the need to leave the curtains open slightly to let the air in. Which wasn't such an issue but when tied in with the next point it adds to the stay being a bit frustrating at times. We were nicely and clearly offered breakfast for our entire stay (3 nights) due to a special occasion. However on the second morning we were loudly notified that we had not paid for our breakfast in front of the busy restaurant. We were then asked to follow her to the front and explained the situation to the front staff who did not believe what we said and after a questionable conversation with someone on the phone we were told that we had to go downstairs to speak to them. She then followed to smugly smile at us as she walked in to the staff area. What we then told reception did not apparently match the notes so we weren't believed. They did ask if we wanted to eat in the restaurant that morning and we denied as it was not about not getting the breakfast (which honestly was not even great in the first place) but it was about them offering something that they then denied (because had they not, we would not have gone up there in the first place) and ultimately the whole embarrassment of being treated this way by two members of staff. So we were grateful for the offer and great location but not so much for the embarrassment and room stay.

Conveniently located next to the train station, fairly quiet. Friendly staff. Room is spacious. Breakfast was good. The only downside is the room can get pretty warm.

I love the fact that is by the Hauptbahnhof and I don't need to stress over the time to go take my train. The area feels safe that's a big plus. The rooms are not big, but I don't need a bigger room. The thing I wish it had is a frigobar so I could keep my water bottles cold.

I was in the hotel for the first time in June. An ideal choice for traveling by train. Very nice staff at the reception and in the breakfast room. Clean rooms. Comfortable bathroom - a shower cabin with a door, it is definitely better than in Novotel where the cabin is open and the bathroom is flooded with water. There is no kettle in the room. Breakfast - the same every day, but I think it is similar in many hotels. I recommend this hotel. I have already booked another stay :)

Nice hotel for the price, great location next to the Hauptbahnhof for trains to/from airport and subway into the City Centre. Only downside - not many restaurants in the immediate area. Room was really hot (and this was in early February - we had to open the window and even then still hot)

Hotel felt new, modern, and clean. Location was great-right across the street from the train station and nearby transit stops to get to the city center. Walking was also an option, roughly 20-30 minutes to the city center. The room and bathroom were sized well. The rooms were also quiet and staff was friendly. A few negatives: few hangers given in the closet, few towels provided (housekeeping was good though at changing out the old towels everyday). Pillows were a bit hard. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Vienna.

If you are traveling by train, the location can't be beat. But the best feature is the availability of half-price day passes to the John Harris gym (upscale), located right around the corner. 18 euro per day. As far as the hotel goes, lots of variation in rooms. Interior facing rooms are quieter. Unless you plan to "tuck in" breakfast is not worth 15 euros... especially given the availability of breakfast food in the train station right next door.

It is a very welcoming and comfortable design hotel. The rooms are nice, clean, quiet and you sleep very well. The breakfast is fabulous as the location of hotel is very strategic. Professional, helpful and very kind staff. Excellent quality, service and price ratio.

This hotel is the best choice if you arrive and leave Vienna by train. I had about 24 hours in Vienna and arrived and left the city from the central train station, and could not ask for a better location - just outside the train station. The hotel itself is new and very welcoming design, the reception staff is friendly and professional. Tip: ask for a room on a higher level with a view to the train station, the view is amazing. Room itself is clean and comfortable, perfect for what it is.

When you are carrying heavy loads and dragging two very large suitcases, the hotel is only one block away from Vienna Central Station, allowing you to unload your luggage quickly. It is also very convenient to check out early.

The biggest asset is that this hotel is practically 1 min away from the railway station. It is also at the hub of all means of transport in Vienna so you can easily get to all destinations in the city without changing trams or buses. It is also on metro U1 line. Hotel staff friendly, rooms clean, food good but rather basic. However, with fabulous Viennese cuisine downtown you don't want to stuff yourself with breakfast.

It is close to the main railway station. Kind employees at the reception. Always happy to help and ensure a quick check in. The rooms are clear and tidy. Never had an issue with it. Breakfasts are classical ones, usually not crowded. You can always find a calm spot. The bar is great with kind service. I can recommend it when you need to stay near the Main station.

Awesome experience. We went in early morning after a tiring overnight train and the front desk were exceptionally nice and accommodating. When available, they book rooms for day use (until 5PM) for €59. It was a lifesaver in our case to have somewhere quiet, clean, and warm to shower and rest.

Nice, cosy, clean rooms. Friendly staff. The location may be good to catch a train, however there are a few weird faces around outside during night time, if you're a smoker it gives you a bad vibe to sit outside the hotel and have them come around

Apart from some miscommunication during check-in, our experience is satisfactory. It's one of the most basic ibis hotels that I have stayed at, but the bed was comfortable, the shower was strong and hot, and housekeeping was prompt. The breakfast buffet is excellent value for Euro 15, and the lady at the restaurant desk was good enough to procure fried eggs for me, (the buffet has scrambled and boiled eggs). Location is superb with the main train station just opposite the hotel . Kudos to the technician who dropped by after 7 pm to unclog the shower drain.

Rooms location both very good. 2 stars for service because I had an early train out in the morning. Informed the desk the night before and asked if I could somehow get breakfast earlier than the usual breakfast time, was told to come down early. Came down early next morning was told no breakfast, and that I should have informed them the night before so that they could pack me one (?!). Very frustrating, as I had already paid for breakfast.

Modern hotel with a bar, restaurant, and working area. The rooms are a little small but clean and have amenities. Great location as it is right across from the train station and then a cheap 15 min ride to the airport. Also, there are many trams or metro options to choose from. Walking distance to the Belvedere Palace and other restaurants, bars, cafes. The only negatives are: no fridge or hot water kettle in the room and you have to walk to the Novotel to use an iron.

Good location, just few meters from West Banhof railway station and Vienna city tram. Despite its good value for money, I have seen many cheaper hotels with water boiler(to make simple tea and coffee). We have to go down to the lobby to get hot water to make simple tea or coffee(?) The room photos from the website and the ones management gives for google reviews are not actual photos. Bed,for some people it could be not comfortable.for us it is quite comfortable. The room is not soundproof. We could hear other people from next room come and go, open and close their door, and it disturbs us. Otherwise it is a clean room, and they clean it daily.I have no problem with their cleanliness standard. The staff are quite friendly. They are not condescending towards asian people(good point). We didn't buy breakfast there, so I cannot say for the breakfast.

No extra facilities, only simple and ordinary room like mini refrigerator or water boiler. I have been in another hotel last night 40% cheaper and many things like water and 1 drink for free, Relax sofa, Tooth brush and paste and Body lotion. It is really expensive for such a standard hotel 😞

Conveniently located just across the road from Wien Hbf. The rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable and good shower pressure but the shower holder in our room wasn't working properly. Overall experience is satisfactory if you're just going to use the hotel for overnight stay.

Comfy, cosy and a very good breakfast. The staff was very kind. The room has a comfortable bed and with all the necessities. We left the luggages until evening.

Wonderful location. Near the train station, literally just one street away. Loadsa food options. There’s a supermarket at the train station which makes it ultra convenient. Near tram D and all other mode of transport. Serve as a good base to explore Vienna. Breakfast is of great value. Lovely stay!

The worst hotel ever! I was travelling along from Poland for more than 10 hours and they have calncelled my reservation which I had paid one month earlier and it was guarranted without even informing me about that. They said that it's cancelled because They had a big Group then. What??? You cancelled prepaid reservation because of the Group? I think you don't know how hotels work. I had very important meetings at this day and what? They didn't even help me... The only thing I heard from unkind manager was - "we don't have room for you, sorry" and nothing more. They should book me another hotel at least But the worst thing is that They didn't refund my money. IT was about 520 euro. It's really sad for me because I'm in Vienna about 6 Times in a year and this hotel was the Best choice for me - unfortunately They treated me like nothing so I will never come back to this hotel

Room without refridge, the employee said ok to help us to put in bar’s refridge originally, but the next day when we came back to hotel, we found out that our stuff just put outside of our room’s door. The manager said they can’t put customer’s stuff in hotel’s refrigerator, but first last night the employee said yes to us, second they shouldn’t just put the thing outside the room without our permission, if anyone stole it , can they take responsible for that? Btw, the attitude of manager is terrible, I definitely will write email to the company.

Modern and functional hotel, good breakfast, the carpet in the room wasn’t clean enough,They only give one thin towel And only one type of shampoo or shower gel without conditioner But after all it’s a nice place

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, it was really close to the train station and any public transportation. The room and bathroom had big and enough spaces. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good but the quality of bakery can be better.

Excellent location, big and comfortable room with affordable price, Ibis staffs are friendly and nice and helpful. One minus point is the ac was not cold enough, so I had some difficulty to sleep in the night.

Great location. Breakfast was good. but room AC was not working properly. Miserable nights when temp outside was over 30 C during early august. Windows do open but the outside temp had to be lower than 30C to make nights sleepable.

One of your better Ibis hotels. None of your plastic pod bathrooms or veneer wood everywhere. Decent size room with good air con, TV and bathing facilities. Quiet and well located.

Sorry for 1 star if your computer not work that's not our problem you have to fix for your customers. This hotel very good adventage of close to central station that's it . I don't like anything of this hotel expect location.

  • 1/5 Virtual -. 1 year ago on Google
Unfortunately the advertised air conditioning is FALSE!!! It had air circulation perhaps… but you have no control over your room temperature. The air temp is fixed at 23-deg. C and with two people in a small room it quickly gets to 25. I cannot sleep in 25-deg. Even opening a window (only a crack at the top is allowed) provides no cool air as there is no flow. I have liked a few Ibis hotels I’ve stayed at elsewhere but this one and the one in Zurich which both have this problem mean I will not stay at Ibis again.

Nice modern hotel, not to expensive, 240 euro for two nights with breakfast for two persons, the breakfast is very good, rooms are a little small but very nice and clean, only problem is that you don't have a room bar. It's also very close to city centre, and subway.

  • 4/5 rkd 1 year ago on Google
Clean, good location. You only get two large towels and no face towels. Also, no soap or shampoo or conditioner just all in one liquid which I don't really like. Room is spacious enough with most of the standard hotel amenities.

  • 4/5 Lim Shen S. 1 year ago on Google
I like the hotel that it is nice and clean, and the room is big. There are many power points (including USB ports) that allows concurrent charging. However, as my room was at the near end to the train station, and on 2nd floor, it could get very noisy due to the sounds from the streets. Bathroom is nice and clean. If there is a kettle in the room that could allow me to boil some hot water would be nice. A pair of slippers would also be a great addition. Breakfast is excellent.

The hotel is located in a great location, near a training center (and u1), near the center of fast food, coffee, and quiet at night. The room was cleaned and arranged in the morning, the room was spacious and exactly as we asked. There is security when using the elevator (very important!!). The hotel staff is kind and pleasant, they answered all our questions. We needed a taxi in the middle of the night to the airport and the lobby staff got us a taxi at a great price! Perfect service. I'm always choosing Ibis in England and now they proved to us they are great everywhere!

  • 4/5 Chamal P. 11 months ago on Google
We stayed here 7 nights. It was a good stay. The location of the hotel is very conveniet. Easy access to airport trains and subway. There is a food court in front of the hotel. The staff was helpful. However, it could have been better if there was an electric kettle in the room.

  • 5/5 Aleksandra Budnik (. 11 months ago on Google
Nice room (but you could add one pillow extra) and friendly stuff, big elevator. I accidentally booked room with breakfast we couldn’t eat (we booked out at 5:30am) and instead we got lunch boxes <3 that’s a great hotel with a helping hand to the customer in a good price! I stayed in Andaz (500m from Ibis) and Ibis is cheaper and better.

Super fast and friendly service (we were offered very early check in), room was very clean, very quiet hotel, bed was very comfortable and the hotel was in a great location. They kept our luggage for us even after checking out, very much appreciated! Definitely recommend for a short stay.
