Please be cautious with your money during your stay. While the hotel was clean and provided a satisfying breakfast, my experience was tarnished by the unfortunate loss of my wallet. Despite the presence of security cameras, the hotel staff claimed they did not observe anything in the footage. Although a team member returned my wallet on the day of my departure, the money was unfortunately missing. It is crucial for the hotel to prioritize customer safety and ensure the protection of their belongings. As a result, I encourage future guests to be mindful of their money during their stay.

Unbeatable location for both walking and public transport. Decently priced and comfortable, if small, rooms. Only complaint would be that the bathroom doesn't have a fan to collect steam from the shower

Great location! I wouldn't add the breakfast because you can get more for your money by going to some nearby bakeries. But like every Motel One: Great staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms.

An ideal hotel if you’re visiting Vienna. Almost every museum in the historical center is a fifteen minute or less walk away. The room was clean, modern and had a very much appreciated airconditioning. Service was very kind and the bar was great as well. Highly recommended!

We stayed for 3 nights and the hotel didn’t renew the towels (they just put the dirty old ones on the shelf…) and didn’t refill the shampoo either. Super disappointed

Don’t book here, they are a total scam. Booked my room 3 months in advance, Arrived at 13:00 I could not get my room because “it had to be cleaned”, came back at midnight only to discover they gave the room to someone else, because “management insists that all the rooms are filled. 1 star is too much.

It’s good hotel with amazing location easy to walk or take train to everywhere . Good to walk to opera to see programs. Hotel rooms are clean but very average . Room dont have coffee machine or water or space for clothes . The hotel has bar than you can have drinks so I did staff was fine . It’s very basic room and they will ask if you like cleaner or not . I said No as I stayed 2 nights in the hotel to visit Vienna on weekend only and I like to sleep in . I am solo women traveling alone and I was very happy and safe in here and Vienna it’s the safest in day and night . Hotel is great for short stay . Breakfast has cold options and can make sandwiches and has nice coffee and juice . Location is the best I can go everywhere and find my way back fast and easily . Good hotel but need closets for clothes

The hotel is at a prime location for easy sightseeing. It is an easy walking distance to all the major sites in near the center of Vienna including St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the opera house, the Hofburg Imperial Apartments and treasury, Kunsthistorisches museum, Albertina Museum, the Natural History Museum and Naschmarkt. It is also located very close to the Metro, only 2 stops from the Central Train Station, a 10 min metro ride without transfers to get to Schonbrunn Palace. I love that we were able to check in to our room early the day we arrived. The décor clean and pleasing. The beds are comfortable. There are plenty of outlets by the bed. The room is small but there is just enough space. The shower is quite spacious by European standards. Overall, highly recommend!

The location was perfect! The rooms were very comfortable, but had a small bathroom. The only problem was there was no mini fridge or water in the room and either the person in the room above me was an Amazon of the walls are very thin. I heard them walking around throughout the night.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I booked my stay at Motel One. As an American, I thought I was booking a motel. I was so pleasantly surprised to find a lovely brand, new hotel, stylish lobby, and bar, clean rooms, and a great bathroom. The rooms while small had a very comfortable bed with great linens, and the bathroom had very nice products and towels. Also excellent air conditioning which is not always easy to find in Vienna. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and even their outfits or fantastic. Such a great value for the money. I will definitely be back and we’ll be looking for other hotels of this chain throughout Europe.

Extremely small room, with the basics only. Without even a closet. Very basic decoration inside the rooms. The rest of the hotel and the public areas is very nicely decorated and spacious. Breakfast has very limited choices, however, the quality is good.

Nice place! My room with queen size bed was smaller than expected, but that was not a problem. Breakfast was really nice and I liked the relaxed atmosphere. The staff was always in a good mood, I loved that. The only unpleasant thing was that some towels were not so super clean...

Great Motel One. Regular user of this brand. Good location. Good size and decent rooms. Only fault as usual is that the bathrooms do not have a decent ventilation system ie no fan ti get rid of steam from the shower

Great hotel, comfortable and trendy. Very convenient for all of the sights of Vienna. Lovely ambience and comfortable beds. Also good value for money for the city.

Clean and bright combined with an excellent location for tourists!! Trams and subway (U4), and the Opera House are five minutes walk . The St. Stephen’s cathedral and Graben Street are 15 minutes walk. The overrated outdoor Naschmarket is only 10 minutes walk. The museums and Hofburg palace are only one to two stops on the Tram 1. From the airport, getting here is a snap: OBB train S7 to Wien Mitte and U4 subway for one stop to Karlsplatz. The Shonbrunn Palace is on the subway U4 . The hotel interior was created recently, by completely renovating an older building . The nightly rate is less than the surrounding hotels, so I did not mind the small, but bright and sparkly bathroom. The breakfast is good . The hotel front desk was always cheerful and helpful. The only negative was the signs directing you to rooms , made us go the long way with a few stair steps. When we figured out what elevator bank avoids the stairs, things went fine. It looks like a business hotel, based on the luxury cars parked outside. You can get higher priced hotels around the heart of old town (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) but then your transportation options get limited to the subway.

The room was a bit small and without coffee maker. It's convenient located but during breakfast time due to small dinning area, you had to wait for a table and we weren't there on the weekend.

What's there not to love. Location was perfect. One block from the opera. Price was around $100 a night - great value for money. The room was New York size - so small - but clean and functional - something I wish one could say about NYC. The reception was outstanding (they failed me when I asked for an extension cord, but looked the other way when I borrowed one temporarily from a light fixture in the remote part of their lobby for an hour around 1 am ... Don't ask why I needed an extension cord). The hotel cafe made great espresso drinks and vlhad a great area to sit. Loved it.

The room I stayed in was ideal for work purposes, being both clean and equipped with reliable Wi-Fi. However, it lacked certain amenities like a kettle and ironing board, making it quite minimalistic in its offerings.

Bizarre hotel - this was the most basic hotel room I have ever stayed in (and it wasn't cheap!). No safe, no fridge, no tea/coffee/kettle, no phone, no wardrobe, no hangars. Nothing. It's basically a bed, a TV and a shower and that's it. My room was also located a very very long walk from the elevator - so far away I felt I had walked across half of Vienna by the time I got to my room. The location is fantastic though. Also the lobby/reception/bar area is really very nice and modern.

The hotel is very nice; you could say it was recently renovated. The room was nice and we slept very well. Brakfast variety can be improved.

We stayed 6 days 7 nights in Motel One Wien-Staatsoper. Room was very clean, service was great, very kind staff at the reception desk, breakfast staff was great as well, though the selection is mediocre. Staying in Motel One more than 3 days makes you realize how narrow the selection is. I don't really care if it's organic - which it is - but apart from cold slices, cheese, baked goods, cereals, yoghurt and hard boiled eggs you don't have much variety after 3 days. I wish they would add some variety e.g. baked beans, scrambled egg, french toast, leafy vegetables, vegan fish and sausages. We didn't visit the bar, hence I can't rate that part. Anyway, nice stay and great hotel.

The hotel was superb on every level! Starting from its site, it is very central, near to every significant place to visit on foot. The rooms as well the rest hotel areas were very clean and quiet. The staff was very polite and always there to help you and provide you with any facilities. The breakfast was adorable, excellent coffee quality, and the staff was welcoming us every morning (all the guys were excellent and professional but the most adorable for us was a quite tall sir -sorry, for not remembering his name, who was welcoming us with his very warm and cosy "Guten Morgen", letting us with the feeling that he offers his services there heart and soul)! It is the second time that i visited Vienna as well as the second time that i stayed in this hotel. Surely, on my third visit in Vienna, i will also stay there again without second thought!

Well located hotel but that's all you will get. For example, the reception explains you the lounge bar is open each day till 11pm but the staff there makes you understand you are not welcome and you bother them whatever you ask. Warming up a little toast is too much for them one hour before the closure and they keep telling you they're about to close. This hotel doesn't even provide water to customers and the price is 9 euros (!!) for 1,5l ! Very disappointing!

This motel is a great place to stay, if you arrive to Vienna for business or for fun. It is very close to the city center, the public transportation options are great and also there are a log of taxis around. It is worth to stay here and walk around as well, there are a lot of historical building in the surrounding area.

This hotel has become our most favourite place to stay in Vienna. The location is just perfect, rooms are comfy, and the evening drink at the chic lobby is not to miss... highly recommend to anyone who visits Vienna!

The hotel is central in the town of Vienna and close by a subway station so the city is in reach from the hotel. The interior is really nice and feels very chic. I found the bar very nice! The room is ok. Not to big but enough to move around for the two. I missed a coffeemaker and a safe in our room but apparently in other rooms a safe is available. The staff are all very friendly and correct. So in all a 4 star for this hotel. Why not 5? Because of two things...check in is really slow..everyday there were lines of waiting guests..and a personally thing .. I missed some peanuts or chips when ordering a drink at the bar. But...in conclusion...for a few days in Vienna .this hotel is good!🤗

Perfectly located, just a stone's throw away from the Opera and city center but in a rather quiet street. Bed and shower were excellent and the room is perfect for a city trip. Exactly what you can expect for the price you're paying. The only downside was check-in, which took forever.

Amazing location, okay breakfast.. but overall meh. Assignment to rooms is a lucky business, I’ve already ended up below in a prison looking room or facing the road. Bathroom this time smelled like mold and pee. The shampoo and hand soap were switched , no other toiletry provided. I understand it’s more for short term, I’d like a wardrobe and a table that fits a computer nevertheless.

The staff and cleanliness was pretty decent. But in terms of functionality the room was bad. the shower only has half a door and the window knob fell out when we tried to open it. Also there is a loud noise and the ceiling shakes when we let the door close or when the neighbors slam the door. Plus there are no telephones in the room so there is no way to contact room service for assistance. I advice if you want somewhere comfortable to live for more than a day, then don’t stay here, but if you need somewhere cheap and decent to live for a day then it should be fine.

Clean & central location. Definitely needs a make over now! Compared to other Motel Ones, bit disappointed as it is in the high end price range.

A glorified youth hostel where you stand in line for everything. 400 rooms and chaos from check-in to check-out. Spend a few dollars extra and go somewhere else where you can enjoy some actual customer service.

Excellent customer service! Easy booking on the web! Great mobile app for convenience! Great service and communication from the concierge via email, answering questions with quick replies! Unfortunately I had to cancel my reservation due to un related family issues. The cancelation was processed swiftly with a click of a button, with follow up personal email confirming my cancelation, with immediate 100% reimbursement of funds, no questions asked. Regardless, I felt welcomed and was cordially invited to visit back again in the future. I certainly will! Thank you!!! Your service was much appreciate!

Hotel Motel One Wein-Staatsoper was a relaxing stay. The room and hotel (which is quite large!) was clean and the staff was friendly. The location was wonderful too--spitting distance from the Opera house and public transportation. The reason I'm leaving off a star has to do with the hotel bar. While the bar brags about being stocked with 80 different types of gins, the bartender was not able to make me a martini because "there was not way to log it into the point of sale." This irony of this was even greater considering the Hotel Motel One magazine in our room had a whole article *about* martini's. I don't know if this is a reason I wouldn't stay there again, but it was annoying.

We had spend 5 days in this hotel and couldnt be most pleased. The room was clean and tidy how it supposed to be and the location was just perfect close to the center but most of all the staff was so nice and friendly especially Maixinh she was so helpful, professional and spoke good english. I would recommend this hotel and We definitley will choose this hotel again without second thoughts.

Despite food and service, their double bed room is way too small where can barely bit two person's luggage (4 suitcase), me and my friend have no space to walk. The design of washroom is confusing, water splashes out the shower uncontrollably and the door is half broken (can't close). The TV system is confusing. Furthermore, there is no way you can contact front desk from your room. The whole ceiling shakes with huge noises when other rooms tries to open their door, me and my friend thought there was a earthquake. However, breakfast was pretty decent.

Rooms are very small and no design. Most rooms have only single bed and tiny working desk where you barely can put your laptop. The waterflow in the shower is weak and room temperature in November was very low, I couldn't configure the heating. There are no warm food for breakfast (13 Euros), only bread, ham and cheese. There is also no lobby where you can work with a laptop, only breakfast / bar area. Location is nice.

  • 3/5 The M. 1 year ago on Google
The location is very close to downtown. Otherwise I see no reason to stay here. It's way expensive for what you get. The rooms are too small for our taste as a family of 3. The reception staff do not make you feel welcome here.. A plus point is that you receive a reduced price ticket for the parking in the outside garage. All in all it's not that bad but I will consider other options for my next visit.

Refurbished hotel in the heart of Vienna. Moderate prices considering the location. Everything is walking distance. Located just down the block from the Opera and Albertina. Rooms are a bit small but everything works.
