Cashless Hotel just a few metres away from the city centre, across the river. We had a twin room, but had to separate the beds ourselves (I couldn't find a way to communicate this before arrival); the hotel doesn't have a cleaning service during the stay, but they inform you during the check in they will lend you the tools to clean yourself if you like. The room was quiet and warm, heating was working well. There was also a TV with channels from different countries; a hairdryer and towels were provided. The underground trains are 5/10min away like U2 and U3. Coming back on foot at night was never a problem, there never seems to be anyone around the area, although there are a few cafes and restaurants

The lady Elena at the reception was friendly and help ful. I would like to thank Elena very much. The location of the hotel is nice the room is warm. Clean. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is amazing. Would definitely recommend. If I ever come to Vienna again, I will stay here again. Thank you so much for everything.

Overall a nice stay at a central Vienna hotel. It was not a luxury hotel, but a good budget option. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent for the price. We walked about 10 minutes from the hotel and weā€™re in Old Town. How we near our location, there was a nice supermarket and outdoor market. Very easy stay at a great price.

The room was looking very nice, beds were comfortable, they changed the towels each day. The stuff was friendly. One day I forgot some money on bed and I found them on the table, I was very impressed about this. I had a problem when flushing the water from toilet. They solved it within few minutes after letting them know about the issue. The cleaning staff put all the things in place, replaced towels and did the beds, but didn't wipe off the dust and vacuum the floor. They didn't provide slippers.

The hotel is nice but the price in Dec 2023 for quality and location was a bit high. There were no glasses and extra pillows in the room. The bathroom was very small and there was mold.

The room was smaller than expected. The pictures on the web certainly fake the look. The bathroom was divided in two, clean and modern. The bedroom itself needs upgrading as the general look is worn out. Comfy bed though and thumbs up for the very silent room. Breakfast was good; plenty of choices. Would have expected warm frankfurter together with the beans.

The room was clean and with eloquent space. The beds were OK. Nice that you had separate toilet room and shower room. The kitchen was a little small and only one downstairs. 4 stars in comparison to Berlin Meininger as it left you with a small feeling of abandonment. The stuff was very polite and helpful.

Very clean rooms. Friendly and kind reception. They keep safe your luggage until the room is available or even when you checkout and you have plenty hours until your leaving flight. Ā The single or room for 2 are comfortable. The hotel is near all public transportation. No need to rent a car. Only the breakfast is poor.

Room a little smaller than photos. Otherwise, nothing to complain about. Nice staff at the check in desks and close to trendy canal area. Would recommend 100 %

The hotel is nice, the rooms are clean and the bathrooms as well. It totally matches the pictures we saw online. It is not located in the direct center but pretty close to it (circa 20 min walk or tramway). The breakfast was not of an outstanding quality but still good and a lot of choice. Would recommend to stay there :)

Negative: cleaning service is disgusting. If you are allergic to the dust think twice. The floor, the walls and most of the things inside the room are dirty. I had a problem with the hand shower, and in the beginning it looks to be hard to get a replace, but in the end the receptionist was so nice to bring the new one to my room. Positive: very big good point is the possibility to leave the room at the 15:00 instead of at 11:00am just paying 15ā‚¬ more per room. The breakfast has a good variety of choices, and surely can satisfies many guest's preferences.

Another great stay at one of your hotels. The quad rooms are great when travelling with family. Clean, warm and comfortable. Your first impression of hotel however needs to be improved. There are broken blinds in upstairs rooms which don't look great when approaching hotel on foot. As soon as you get to front door though, normal expectations are resumed.

We stay 3 nights. Everything was perfect. Good breakfast. Super location. Good internet. They have a kitchen that guests can use and there is all utilities that you need. Excellent hotel for cheap price. I recommend.

Very rude menagers. Weā€™ve booked our stay in this hotel for 19-22 November and payed about 500ā‚¬ in total, but our flight is cancelled due to weather conditions, so we couldnā€™t come. My friend called hotel the same night and they didnā€™t have any understanding for this. I need to write that my two friends were here before! They told her itā€™s not possible to move reservation telling her they donā€™t have space for next week. But I checked and they absolutely have space. So, today I called them and they were very rude, they even hung up on me while I was talking. I explained that our flight was canceled and that we could not come (otherwise we are students) and asked them to change our reservation, but they did not want to. They said it was impossible to return the money, to which I told them that I knew it was possible for them to at least change our reservation and that we didn't want the money back. Then the manager started yelling and telling me that I am rude. I told him to listen to me, but he just rudely hung up. It's a shame for a hotel to treat its guests like this. I am completely disappointed!

A nice, big and very clean room for a family of four. Check in and out at no time. The staff was very helpful and polite. Some Austrian pastry would be great for breakfast, though.

Very friendly staff, fast check in, available front desk all the time. The location is great, there is a supermarket around the building, train station and tram about 5 min walking, and there are many restaurant options in the area. The breakfast is standard but good, affordable too. The housekeeping is upon request, which is good for us, we kinda like it better this way. The room was spacious for a budget hotel, we loved it. Overall, I totally recommend this hotel and would like to come again.

The accommodation is offered on a very competitive basis with the emphasis less on high end luxury but more on offering the basics in an efficient manner. Although a very acceptable breakfast is available in the mornings, and communal areas are provided, there is no fully staffed bar. Numerous eating and drinking establishments are however, located nearby. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and whilst daily cleaning is only available on request, this was not in the least problematic. The hotel ticked all the boxes that mattered to me and for the money, left me feeling i'd had a comfortable stay for a fair price. I would re-book again with no hesitation.

Very good hotel, clean, quiet, not far away from the center and public transport (trams, metro), good breakfasts. Really a great option of having a guest kitchen in the hotel. We would come back here for sure! Absolutely recommended!

The room was clean and comfortable. Pillows were unusable, and when we asked for more, there were no where to get from. After ordering clean up for the room, the sheets were not changed, even though, unfortunately were stained with blood. Breakfast was very good, all products were fresh and tasty. The service desk were always helpful.

The room is large enough for a family of four ( kids 12 & 14). The toilet and bathroom are separate which is very nice. The sheets and towels were clean. The location is perfect with a nearby U-Bahn, bus, and tram and most importantly it is within walking distance to the city center and still in the quiet area of the second district. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is average but still sufficient for almost anyone. We enjoyed the stay and would come again. The price/ value ratio is good.

Modern, basic, clean accommodation in a great location in Vienna. Easy public transport to Old City and main attractions. Close by restaurants and supermarket. Excellent staff, super friendly! Full public kitchen and washer and dryer for pay. Very recommended for solo, couples and families .

This is one of the few hotels that allows you to fit four people in the same room (in proper beds not uncomfortable sofa beds) at a reasonable price. Ideally situated with a comfortable 10 minute walk to the centre. Room was spotless and staff on reception friendly and helpful. The only improvement would be the addition of air conditioning in the rooms.

I never recommend this hotel. For 215 euros they provide nothing. There is nothing other than a very old bed and dirty towels. There are better places you can stay at the downtown on this price.

We had a nice stay. The room was clean and the staff was polite. However, we were fleeing Ukraine and were charged full price. During checkout, we overheard the receptionist tell another customer that people fleeing Ukraine receive a 20% discount and free breakfast which we were not given. When I asked why we hadnā€™t received the discount, she just said she didnā€™t know and there was nothing she could do. Will not be staying here again and will not recommend to others we know leaving Ukraine.

Good location near Tram and Metro station by walking distance 5 to 6 minutes. Big and clean room.

Nothing out of the ordinay but also nothing too bad. The hotel is located near the subway wich is a plus but also if you don't mind walking a little bit you can reach downtown Vienna in 15 minutes. Breakfast was almost reasonable. Let's say that we could use an air conditioning, but since the temperatures were "exceptional" this year, we managed to have a reasonable resting night. Luckily, the window could be opened (unlike other establisments).

We had a very good experience with the hotel. It was clean and near the centre of Vienna (10 minitues). Also, its very close to metro station. The only thing that maybe needs is an aircodition and also a small fridge to have cold water. The receptionist was very kind and help us with everything we needed. Our room was ready and so we made our check in much earlier! There is also a luggage room if you want to leave there your things, so the last day we used it. To sum up, I recommend it if you want to visit Vienna!

The hotel is relatively close to public transport, between 5 and 10 minutes, but also to the center. We walked 20 minutes to St. Stephen's Cathedral. The rooms are small but clean. Everything was fine for the money we paid. Breakfast can be taken with 10 euros per person / day. For children it was free, in our case.

I stayed for 2 weeks and found the location and amenities to be very good. A couple of small suggestions: Meininger should consider adding AC in future though this time, the fan provided was just enough to keep my small room cool. One of the senior staff, though generally helpful, wasn't proactive; the first bike I rented had no rear brake. Their washing machine was broken and I wasn't told that I could use the machine at another nearby Meininger. There were also some issues with noise late into the night but otherwise it's an excellent place to stay.

  • 4/5 Alexandre M. 2 years ago on Google
Good hotel, near transportation and city center. No good restaurant in 5min walk. No AC but in Vienna it is not mandatory and it is good for the planet.

Super nice and helpful staff. The hotel is very clean and organized. We stayed in a large room and we just missed a few more places to store things but it was ok. The location isn't great but not bad (15min walk to the city center/5min walk to nearest metro/tram station). Although it is a quiet location, the surroundings feel safe to walk late at night. Good internet connection and cable TV.

The hotel is good and well located. The staff is very nice and helpful, however the room was not cleaned every day and the towels were not replaced everyday.

Women with piercing yells at us that there are no rooms. Women with piercing at the lobby is very rude. Don't know how to politely talk to guest. She should be ashamed and fired. This shows the low quality of the hotel

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! They showed us a ground floor room which was different from the one we booked online because "the hotel was full" . When we asked them, they told us they couldn't guarantee that they could move us in another room any other day. When we told them we decided to leave, they told us that they had available rooms in a couple of days. Finally, they said they couldn't cancel our reservation and charged us the first night.

A bad experience in Meininger Hotel Vienna Downtown Sissi. My family of four came for two nights stay, but we run away after just one. We were not alone in the room 411 - a family of ants came out over the night and crawled all over our things, eating our snacks. Hotel's staff was not surprised after i complained, so i guess this is a common situation. Despite their high hygiene standard promotion on the website, Hotel didn't even propose to compensate this bad experience in any way.

It was an alright stay at Meininger Vienna Downtown Sissi. It reminds me of a hotel, kind of a budget hotel you could call it. They have breakfast for ā‚¬10 is you want to pay for that or there is a kitchen you can use. One thing about that is you have to walk through that area (lounge/breakfast room) to get to the common kitchen - and there was no AC in the common kitchen, so it was incredibly warm in there, where the breakfast room had AC.... The room was fine - we had a double bed, private bathroom and there was even a ventilator to cool the room down. ItĀ“s about 15 mins walk into Stephansdom, so close to the city center. One down side we expereienced was on our first night - we locked the door and it sounded like someone was trying to get into the room. A few mintues later the door is opened by the receptionist. It was really strange that she didnĀ“t knock before entering or didnĀ“t check if somebody was in the room before entering the room. She even asked if we checked in that day - very unprofessional in my opinion that she didnĀ“t check all these things before and that she had given a key to the former tenant in the room.....

This hotel is a very good option for a few days in vienna. The rooms are small but they work really well for a short stay (2/3 nights). The staff was all very nice and the kitchen was also really useful. I recomend it!

  • 4/5 Hassan N. 2 years ago on Google
We stayed here in the mid of Oct 21. It was pretty decent hotel. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly. They even have a kitchen where guests can store there food in fridge, cook meals on electric stove, etc. The supermarket is very close to the hotel around 2-3 minutes walk. The only issue is that, they do not have "do not disturb" signage. Otherwise, would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Parking must be booked earlier, so I was surprised. No AC in rooms also surprised as outside was above 30C.

cheap and cheerful. clean and spacious rooms. proper working wifi. the hotel also has dorms so be prepared for (in my case, well-behaved) teenage tour groups.

Really good hotel. Stayed there in September ā€™21 for 3 nights, decent price. Room was clean, check-in was easy (they can keep your bags if you check-in too early, so you can visit the city), breakfast has a really wide variety to choose from. Closest metro station we could find was about 10 minutes away.
