Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Typical European size. Breakfast was outstanding. Everybody I encountered was great. I have to recognize Mony who went to great lengths to help us with unwinding our reservation issues. She is outstanding. The location was great for walking to anywhere in the old city area. Of course we enjoyed the Christmas markets.

This is an absolute gem of a hotel, located about 20 minutes from the centre it was the perfect place to rest in between exploring Vienna, the area around it itself is full of life and great restaurants and bars to enjoy. The staff at the hotel where on point, helping out with plug adapters to recommendations on where to eat and visit. Cannot rate this hotel highly enough and would definitely make another booking if we were to visit Vienna again

We stayed the night after the flight. On arrival the staff was very helpful and the manager even left his car park for us. (Car park is 25€ but still this is a curtosy) The receptionist was very welcoming and caring, The room has a very nice design to it, the bed is comfortable but not so big -pay attention when placing orders The shower was a delight The breakfast is continental breakfast with really good pastries All in all and for the cost we got an excellent experience!

We have visited the hotel twice, both for long weekends. I can only recommend. Prices are not cheap, however service is exceptional. Very friendly and helpful staff as well as amenities around are all there. Breakfast is bountiful and delicious. Central location, easy to find your place around. There is a nearby underground parking available for an additional fee.

A nice hotel. The room was the right size, definitely not small. It was clean, the bed was comfortable. Nice decor, not unique but not boring either. Well maintained. Located close to the Ring and old city. Easy to get to the main attractions. An U-Bahn station (line 3) is a few minutes walk away, a tram stop (line 2) is even closer. The room was air conditioned which was a useful nice surprise for Europe. Big TV but with no connectivity to streaming services. The staff was friendly, they accommodated a request I made beforehand. Quiet area, some cafés, restaurants and two supermarkets were at a walking distance. Over all a pleasant hotel and good value.

My wife and I spent 5 days at that hotel, our first room was on the top floor which proved very problematic as the AC could not compensate for the very high heat of such a hot summer. The hotel staff proved to be very comprehensive as they moved us to an upgraded room on the second floor of a newer portion of the hotel. We truly enjoyed this room as well as the super services provided by the staff and would definitely return there in the future as the location is fantastic right close to the city centre attactions and activities.

We were very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable with great AC. The bathrooms are spacious and efficient. The location is central yet quiet and close to the local attractions of Vienna and to public transport. Customer service was friendly and welcoming and I’d particularly like to congratulate Anna and Mony for outstanding service

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The building and rooms are charming and clean with attentive staff, excellent breakfast and a very central yet quiet location to explore the city. As bonus, they are also environmentally friendly! We would happily stay here again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Josefshof in Vienna, and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived until the day of departure, my experience was marked by outstanding service, elegant accommodations, and a truly memorable stay. I want to particularly highlight the exceptional customer service provided by Mr. John and Ms. Mony, who went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my visit. Accommodations: 5/5 The first thing that struck me about Hotel Josefshof was its charming blend of old-world elegance and modern comfort. The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully appointed with tasteful furnishings. The attention to detail in the design and decor was evident, making my stay feel like a truly luxurious experience. The comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep, and the amenities, including the well-stocked minibar and complimentary Wi-Fi, made my stay even more convenient. Location: 5/5 Hotel Josefshof's location is nothing short of perfect. Situated in the heart of Vienna, it's within walking distance of major attractions such as St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Hofburg Palace, and the Vienna State Opera. The hotel's proximity to public transportation also made it incredibly easy to explore the city further. Dining: 4/5 The hotel's restaurant served delicious breakfasts with a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes. While I didn't have dinner at the hotel, I appreciated the recommendations provided by the attentive staff for nearby dining options. Customer Service: 6/5 (Thanks to Mr. John and Ms. Mony) What truly set Hotel Josefshof apart from other hotels I've stayed at was the exceptional customer service, and it was Mr. John and Ms. Mony who made my stay truly unforgettable. Mr. John, the hotel's concierge, was a wealth of knowledge about Vienna. He not only helped me plan my daily itineraries but also provided invaluable tips and insights that enhanced my experience. His warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel like a valued guest, and his attention to detail in ensuring all my needs were met was exceptional. Ms. Mony, a member of the hotel's front desk team, was equally remarkable. Her professionalism, efficiency, and willingness to go the extra mile to accommodate my requests were truly commendable. She made check-in and check-out a breeze and was always available to assist with any questions or concerns I had. Overall Experience: 5/5 In conclusion, my stay at Hotel Josefshof in Vienna was an absolute delight. The combination of luxurious accommodations, a prime location, and, most importantly, the exemplary customer service provided by Mr. John and Ms. Mony made it a memorable experience. I would highly recommend Hotel Josefshof to anyone visiting Vienna and looking for a top-notch hotel experience. I am already looking forward to my next stay at this wonderful establishment. Thank you, Hotel Josefshof, for making my trip to Vienna truly special.

The Hotel is very nice, friendly and clean. I have traveled globally and this is one of my favorites for our family of 3. Yajanos the bartender and his associate were especially accommodating. Bathrooms are spacious, bedroom is comfortable and location is convenient. Thank you for making Vienna stay memorable.

Good hotel with comfortable rooms and great breakfast. For the price we paid the styling of the rooms could be better though. Now it's an ugly blend of pseudo antique furniture with tacky 80s/90s fitting and some early 00s updating... not particularly pleasing for the eye. We did love the renovated staircase with the original flooring though: that's the style you should try to bring to rooms as well. Breakfast and breakfast staff was great: super motivated people and very professional! We only had one grumpy guy, that one that had to serve us a free drink (but didn't want to? No idea why he was so grumpy and rude to us). All in all good hotel, but a bit pricey.

Wonderfull place! The hotel's location is perfect, the staff is great. We would like to express my big thanks to Mrs. Anna and Mrs. Vivien (ladies from reception). Very kind and indifferent to the customers, always ready to help. We really appreciate all Mrs. Anna and Mrs. Vivien did for us!

It was a wonderful experience during our stay at this beautifully appointed hotel, with a perfect central location and convenient walking distance to the subways. The staff were very courteous, helpful with reservations and planning, spoke fluent English and were attentive to our needs. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast area was splendid. Definitely worthy of 5 stars.

This hotel is located in the perfect area, close to everything, including the Rathaus, Volksgarten, Ring, etc. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic, with everything you could want. The service is outstanding. We love this hotel and stay here every year we come to Vienna. We give this hotel the absolute best recommendation. It couldn't be better than it is, a real gem!

Very sad that at our times hotels still have stricken 100% cancelation policies and not realizing wars going on and COVID still exists and is on the rise. We had booked hotel well in ad an r and had to cancel all: flights, hotel in Prague and Tried to cancel in Vienna but unfortunately they do not even consider something to be refunded. Very sad and will never ever even look at this hotel when we ready to finally see Vienna

A charming and well-run hotel on a quiet street just behind Vienna's parliament building. Rooms are modern and spacious with Viennese accents. Breakfast is amazing, with early morning Sekt (sparkling wine) to start your day right. Staff couldn't be nicer. Special thanks to Sabrina on the front desk for her excellent care.

A well located average hotel. Service from staff was average. Room was clean but the temperature of the aircon wasn't adjustable. They were stingy on handling out drink coupons when you skip housekeeping. On the paper it says it'll either give the room drink coupons or donate €3 to some charity, but they take the paper and left no coupon, so I suspect that if you tick donation, they probably won't do it. They take credit card details from you saying in case you consume items in your room, but the fridge in my room is empty, so I don't get it. P.S. I've had "twice" housekeeping opening my door when I have the Do Not Disturb sign hooked on my door! Once on the first day and once on the day of checkout. This is so unprofessional!

    > A great value for money option for staying around Rathausplatz area. The hotel is located in a quite alley, far from noise and busy streets, while being close enough to walk to all the main sights in the city centre. > Excellent breakfast. > Excellent customer service from the staff. Anna in particular, at the reception desk, was amazing in welcoming us, giving us tips and helping us in any way we wanted.

We were recommended hotel Josefshof by a good friend and it did not disappoint. It is situated centrally and within easy walking distance of some of Viennas Town Hall, Parliament, renowned churches and shopping area. Despite this, it is set in a quiet side street away from the bustle, The staff are really friendly and helpful, the buffet breakfast is in itself worth choosing the hotel for with an amazing selection of cheeses, cured meats, wonderful breads, great coffee etc.…. Our room was comfortable and clean with the only downside being that the plumbing was a little noisy. We will certainly stay here again when we return to Vienna,

The general manager, David, and his staff were wonderful! Omnya checked us in and was very thorough with instructions, parking, Christmas market information etc. Tomas made our dinner reservations while working check in, answering phones and helping in the bar all at the same time. He can do anything! Mony checked us out today and made sure all the charges were accurate. Of all the places we have traveled in Europe I would say this was our best stay ever! The room and bathroom were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was very good as well. It was a great location for larking our car and walking everywhere we wanted to go, I highly recommend staying here. We hope to return to Vienna and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

I stayed here for over a week and it was fantastic. The location is excellent, the rooms well maintained and clean, and the staff very helpful. The location is also excellent- only a block from the tram and a couple of blocks from the subway, and walkable to many of the main sites of Vienna.

Very good hotel with easy access to the center 7' on foot, as well as public transport nearby. The staff is friendly and willing to serve the customer. The room is very beautiful in decoration but also spacious.

A great location, just 5 minutes away from the city hall and the university, close to a variety of public transportation. The breakfast was very good, and also in a nice open space, perfect for some fresh air in the morning. The room was old and very small, but unbeatable for the price we paid. The bed was pretty good, which is a serious problem in many hotels. The staff was very friendly. A good choice if you don't plan to stay a lot in the room other than for sleeping. The air conditioning had two modes: freezing and off (and I really like it cold, but this was too much). The bathroom was not bad, only the toilet was almost destroyed by bad cleaning and looked dirty even when it was clean.

We had a two week stay at the hotel in the last half of June. We really enjoyed our stay! Room was lovely. All staff were courteous and keen to help us understand the city. Great tips on tours and areas of interest. Loved the morning breakfast – worth every penny!

Lovely hotel. Extremely comfortable bed in a good sized room. Staff all helpful and friendly. The room could do with more storage space - 7 coat hangers between 2 people for a weeks break was a bit limited. Larger towels and a dressing gown would have been nice additions too.

I came back from a 5 night stay recently and I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough! This was my first solo vacation and I felt comfortable and safe. I was visiting Vienna for the ASICS women’s running race and also wanted to thoroughly explore the city. My room was amazing, the bed was super comfy and the staff really friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I were to visit Vienna again.

I just spend five nights in the Josefshof and I must say that everything was absolutely perfect ! Friendly staff, large and clean room, comfortable bed, fantastic buffet breakfast and close to the Rathaus area. There's also a nice street just above the hotel (Lange Gasse) with a few supermarkets and shops. I'd go to this hotel again anytime !

Highly recommended. Very contemporary Klimt design & theme throughout the hotel. Lovely & clean room, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff (big thanks to Anna for her boundless enthusiasm and terrific attitude). We love Vienna & will hopefully make this our default 'go to' - Highly recommended.

My family and I stayed here in October 2022. Our experience could not have been any better. The room and the hotel grab you with an old-world charm and romance. The location is perfect, as it is walking distance to old town Vienna. The people of Hotel Josefshof am Rathaus were incredibly kind and helpful. I hope to return to Vienna soon, and will look to stay here as my first option.

We recently (DEC 22) spent three nights at this property and were happy with the accommodations and staff. When we did our research, we thought it was going to be a smaller hotel (which we prefer) but it was the size of many chain hotels. With that said, it was still nice and the staff was very helpful anytime we had a question. The location is very convenient as you are in walking distance to a lot of shopping and sights as well as public transportation. They do not have dedicated parking but there is a parking garage very close by (a block or two) which is secure. There is also a very nice stretch (maybe three blocks worth) of small shops and eateries behind the property that we did not realize until the last night of our stay as we were focused on the main attractions, definitely worth a visit. I will warn you though, ceilings and walls are thin (beware of noisy neighbors) as the people above us must have had small kids who seemed to be running and jumping well into the night. Other than that, a very nice stay.

Excellent hotel with outstanding service. The rooms are spacious. The lobby is sweet. The location is near perfect. The staff is the best! They made us smile every time we talked to them or asked for something. I wouldn't hesitate staying here if I ever get another chance.

Ever since our first stay in this hotel a couple of years ago, we always come back to it whenever we are in Vienna. The rooms are very nice, well-equipped and a good size, with the most comfortable bed and bedding I have ever experienced in hotels. A good night’s sleep is definitely guaranteed! The hotel staff is extremely helpful and attentive, they create a great atmosphere and make sure you have everything you need, and more. They welcome us back every year and make us feel special. The location is also perfect, especially if you are there during the Christmas season as the main Christmas market is only a few minute walk away, but it is within walking distance from most sightseeing places. The area also has some great restaurants and shops, and is safe and quiet. We will definitely continue our stays in this hotel and would recommend it to everyone visiting Vienna and wishing to have a pleasant experience!
