Fabulous! The service is impeccable and everything was spotless. Pure luxury. Breakfast was fantastic. We enjoy a good breakfast each morning. Every last detail down to the volume of the music in the bar was perfect. I think this hotel is the best in Vienna with price. I will come back in the future. Highly recommended! Thank you guys! 🙏 Hello from Athens, Greece!

Amazing jewel in the center of Vienna. Not in the crowded areas but very very close to everything. Key location! Clean big rooms, very comfortable beds and sofa. Parquet on the floor. High ceilings. Very nice and friendly service. Although it is on the street, the rooms are not noisy. The free coffee capsules in the room are a real bonus! Loved the hotel! One metro stop from Opera House, one to the train station, Belvedere on 15 minutes walk or 10 by tram. Military museum on 3 stops by tram. Everything is SO close!

Rooms, location and breakfast were great. Staff generally speaking very friendly. However when we wanted to book a tour to Budapest the agent proposed a private tour instead. The car was uncomfortable, the driver had absolutely no clue it was obviously his first trip to Budapest as well. In the end we were referred to a taxi company working closely with hotel.

Great location, 10 mins from Karlsplatz on foot, or 1 minute from metro/tram! The breakfast was lovely and the rooms were large and comfortable, highly maintained. We put 4/5 stars for the service because we had an issue with the shower head, and were only taken care of after 3 days of complaining. Thanks again to Michael, great guy at the front desk that took good care of us and offered several rooms that we could change to.

Great location and an overall pleasant stay. Our one night stay at the hotel was wonderful. The reception was welcoming and helpful. In regards to the room conditions, it was clean and quiet. What we enjoyed the most was the hearty breakfast. The selection of food and drinks is large and delicious. We are planning to stay at this hotel again.

Great location between the train station and the city center. The underground is right in front of the hotel. They have a car parking a bit expensive or a cheaper one 200m far. Rooms have a classic style, breakfast was good even if poor of sweets. They give us a cot for our baby with a nice wash kit for him, really appreciated.

Nice hotel but dated. Needs some new furniture, new upholstery and drapes. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, limited hot items and plentiful cold items.

Perfect location for a weekend away in Vienna. Spotlessly clean, staff very helpful, rooms very comfortable and quite large. Fabulous bathroom with bath and shower. Recommended

Stayed here recently and was very pleased. The room was large and comfy with excellent heating and windows that opened when we needed fresh air. The breakfast was very nice with bacon, eggs, fresh vegetables, cheese, cured meats, breads, excellent yogurt, fresh fruits and various sweets. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The bar is small but cozy and pleasant. Only drawback was that you have to pay for coffee and tea that’s available in your room which is not something I’m accustomed to doing.

The older man who checked us in was very helpful and extremely nice. The bedroom and bathroom are clean. Really cool mirrored elevator. The breakfast buffet was amazing! It's my favorite part of the stay 'coz food is life. :-)

The parquet is worn and scratched, the furniture is stained and worn, and the ceiling in the bathroom is sagging. The style of the decor was left over from the 90s and the whole place was begging for a refurbishment. The heating didn't work so double blankets had to be used. All this for 150 euros, a very unfavourable price. My advice: avoid! (Ps: the only good experience was the staff. They are really kind and helpful, both in the evening and the morning.)

Spacy room cannot compensate for almost no water in the shower. It was at best drizzling if not dripping. Bad morning. And buffer breakfast also not great. I had been used for way lot better selection of spreads etc. in Austrie. It took quite a while to the staff to refill scrambled eggs . The best feature of the hotel is the location.

A great place to stay in Vienna! Reasonably priced for quite a large room and breakfast included. Very well located- right next to a U-bahn station and about a 25 minute walk to the city center. I would stay here again if I traveled back to Vienna!

Our stay at the Johann Strauss Hotel was very comfortable. The location in the Wieden was very convenient - just a few steps from the U1 underground stop, not far from the Belvedere and the Hauptbahnhof, and a nice walk to the Ring and downtown. The neighborhood has thrift stores, "boutique" coffee shops, restaurants - a sort of "hip" vibe. The room was comfortable and very quiet - though we faced the street, the double windows (which can be opened) kept the room quiet. The staff was friendly, helpful and available 24/7. The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety, hot/cold, sweet/savory, which got us off to a great start each day. We would stay here again, or try one of the other Kremslehner hotels.

Hôtel is quite affordable, clean and in an excellent location. It is however a little outdated and perhaps not the best if you intend to spend time in your room (aside from sleeping). But in our case we were out and about every day. You can park 2 minutes away in the University parking for 8 euros/day. Staff was friendly.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days The hotel was fine, without being ostentatious, and was well located as it was a 20-30 minute walk to the center In general, the staff were nice and friendly, but.............an older gentleman at the front desk was the most rude, self-centered, loud-mouthed receptionist I've met in over 50 trips around the world!!!! !!! It started when we arrived and the booking site had made a mistake with the breakfast, where his comment was just "It's what I'm standing here (on the PC) that's right, and everything else is the same" or when he had to call a taxi, and we asked him if it was faster to take one out on the street. Then he hung up the phone and said that "He didn't know that, it could be blah blah blah"

Very good hotel in city center area. You will feel like staying in old age since hotel maintain like oldiii. Receptionist was very supportive. You can buy 24hrs pass for using city travel at hotel. It cost you 17 euro. Cathatral is at walking distance. Overall good to stay there. We have not order the food nor enjoyed the break fast since we have to leave early to Airport. No comment of food service. For lunch n dinner you will have lot of option near stephanplatz.. enjoyed stay in Vienna overall.

Hotel Johann Strauss has no heart. I was due to stay at this hotel at the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak. I was leaving from Barcelona to Vienna and found out that flights were being canceled between the two countries so I wouldn’t be able to make it to their hotel. Yes, my reservation was non-refundable, and yes they waived my cancellation fee; but they sent me a letter stating that they confirmed a refund from the platform/website I booked it on. I spoke with the platform and the platform spoke again with the Hotel Johann Strauss. This time the hotel denied the refund. Yes I understand that economies all around the world are suffering from the outbreak and hotels are hurting from low occupancy, however I feel this was an unusual circumstance, and especially since the director, Tanja Juhasz, sent me a letter saying she confirmed the refund (which was approximately €200). I feel they were very inconsiderate because they failed to keep their promise especially during these unprecedented times we are living in.

The hotel is located in a quiet area but within walking distance of many attractions or a short tram or metro ride away from the city centre. Our room was light and spacious and the bathroom was large with plenty of vanity space. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful with all our questions. Really enjoyed our stay here!

Very close to downtown and tube station. It is clean, the personal is ivery polite and we really enjoyed the bohemic atmosphere and breakfast. Still in room was cold and some snacks that we expected to be for free we had to pay.

Very beautiful hotel in the middle of Vienna. Rooms are quite big and beds and shower are comfortabele. Only advise to personnel, if towels aren't on the ground because we don't want them to be washed (safe nature), please don't hang up new ones.

Even with faults and wear/tear... For sure nice place to be. I got the room for two with possible separate beds with 70euro and that is proper price for that room considered the wear and tear. Breakfast sure met the hopes for 15 euros per person

Staff is fantastic - so grateful to them for the good mood) Rooms are comfy, but - everything including tea, coffee and water inside the room is a paid service, just beware.
