Absolutely horrible stay, beware original hotel is under renovation. Rooms are ok but reception looks like a temporary shelter with two tables there, giving a very unprofessional look. The hotel had their key system broken so a staff member had to escort you to your room every time. If you forgot something inside your room, someone had to come in to open the door for you, dreadful. No internal phones so no possibility of contacting reception and wifi didn’t work too. Doors slam quite heavily and all the walls trembled while sleeping. Completely and utterly disappointed with the experience. Must make fixes ASAP.

To the manager: PLEASE CHECK THE LOBBY CAMERA RECORDING FOR THE VIDEO AND AUDIO! (29 Aug 2023 around 9pm) We have been threatened and disrespected by the two receptionists. One of them was wearing shorts, sportive attire and smoking cigarette outside the hotel. We have been told that we can not help carrying our friend’s luggage to her room. We have been told that “hopefully we will never see you in this hotel again”. I was not even staying in the hotel. As tourists visiting from United States of America, we were shocked. We asked the names of two receptionists as I wanted to file a formal complaint. They refused to give their names and TOOK OFF THEIR NAME TAGS SO WE COULD NOT SEE THEIR NAMES!!!!! When he threatened us to call the police, we said “please call the police” as we knew we did not do anything wrong. Of course he did not call the police but I know I should have called. He said many things that would violate many rules and laws. I can’t possibly type all of them here but hopefully you will see everything when you check the camera recording. I will also send the hotel a more detailed and longer email. So disrespectful, unprofessional, inhumane and basically not a good team and business.

Located in Vienna, near Danube river and very close to downtown Vienna! We stayed for two nights there. I would say it has the average price of a 4 star hotel in Austria. The room was good, spacious but it had insects in them, the hygiene needs to be looked after. The service was good, the breakfast buffet was fairly simple. Recommended 👍🏼

We came from UAE 🇦🇪 , stayed for 6 nights at this hotel. 2 adults in one room 7th floor amazing view cozy quiet room. The only challenge was there is not enough space for our clothes. However very clean and neat. The staff is another story , so friendly, kind and helpful. In both shift mornings and nights male and female. We had a great experience and hospitality till the last moment. They were apart of our great experience in Vienna 🤍.

Enjoyable stay for Vienna within walking to many local attractions and restaurants and metro is also not far away. Welcoming and friendly service, large and comfortable rooms with modern bathroom. Breakfast available on the spot.

I stayed two nights at the Mercure Wien City. While booking the hotel, there was no mention or warning given that the hotel was under renovation and would have reduced amenities. Note that I have paid top price for this room. The room was very small, no drawers, no wardrobe. Instead there was a fancy coat rack. The room lacked a landline to call reception / catering / bar. In the 2 days I was there I have no idea if the bar was available or even existed. The Staff did not inform me about the amenities that were present or absent during the stay. During the morning time there was construction work and noise going on. A few positives — The room and bathroom were clean and fresh. The location is great!! Very accessible to U-bahn, tram lines etc and well connected to city centre. I don’t think I will choose mercure again………

Full disclosure, I did not stay at this hotel. After being accosted by staff at reception, I felt it was not in my best interest to stay here. When checking in with a friend on August 29, 2023 I was not asked for my name or any form of identification. We left a number of bags in the room and went out to explore the city. When we returned later with friends to retrieve the bags reception staff admonished us for keeping bags in our room that did not belong to us, lied by claiming they ask for identification from everyone entering the hotel, and then refused to give their names when asked--going so far as to remove their names tags. We were then told we were dangerous and that the police would be called. We welcomed police assistance but it was nothing more than a threat from the staff. There are cameras in the lobby that should have recorded the entire incident. 0 out of 10 do not recommend.

Rooms are small and there was renovation work in progress during our stay. However, the staff were all extremely accommodating and friendly. They could not have been better.

Excellent location very close to the Central Plaza in Vienna. Walk to St Stephen's Cathedral in less than 10 minutes. Staff are very friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. No telephone in room to be able to contact reception or other rooms. WiFi can be a little temperamental but functions well. Breakfast is offered but not much choice for vegetarians. Renovations are currently underway so you may feel that you have arrived at a hotel that is closed - it's very much operational but the entrance is a little further along through an unmarked door.

Good location. Walkable to popular museums, etc. Contemporary decor, nice layout. Good shower. Clean room. Be aware: room doors really SLAM shaking the walls. If you are bothered by noise or a light sleeper, take this into consideration.

The receptionist Aleyna Okur was very helpful on check-in when we had to move our room, which had been booked accidentally for a different date. The room was ready right away and looked very good. She was very helpful when we asked for directions.

Hotel is very well located, staff is nice, rooms are clean. A minus is the absence of a hotel restaurant, which can be a hiccup especially during Sundays or Legal Holidays. Parking place should be included for guests, my luck was to find a free spot on the street in front of the hotel.

Wonderful staff at reception, in the breakfast room and cleaning the room. Pros: 1. The room was spacious and clean and had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in while on holiday. There is bottled water, coffee, tea and a kettle (replenished if you drink it all). 2. The staff are all very pleasant, and know what they’re doing 3. The breakfast options were wonderful, good for all diets and tastes 4, The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Trams, 10 minutes from trains, and a 15-30 minute walk to almost all major attractions Cons: 1. The shower wall/door isn’t long enough so water tends to splash a bit but to make it longer you wouldn’t be able to get in because of the sink counter. It’s a tight squeeze as it is. I’m average size but for a larger person it my be uncomfortable squeezing in and out of the shower. rating. 2. I would have liked some built in USB hubs so, as a North American, I don’t need to use an outlet adapter to charge my devices. Those are the only cons, and they’re not enough to affect my overall rating.

Very please from my stay at Mercure Wien City hotel. I was on family trip so I reserved two rooms. As a Gold member I was offered complimentary rooms upgrade, welcome drink (for all four persons), and late check out as I had requested. Both rooms were very spacious, cozy, clean and well air-conditioned, with front view. The personnel is perfect and extremely helpful. Only exception a specific night shift front desk officer who claimed that the bar is closed and he does not have keys to serve us when I asked for refreshments at 23:05 (when it is stated that the bar is available full day). Special thanks to Kerstin (Deputy Manager) and Enkhsaruul (reservations) for their excellent service and for fulfilling all my requests! Really pleased from my stay and I will visit again soon.

Great location, reasonably priced, clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful especially the night porter saba, he was very helpful with everything from start to finish. If I was visiting Vienna again I would definitely stay here again 👍

Someone stolen the cash money from my wallet (6 bnaknotes of 20 euros each) during the time of taking breakfast in the groundfloor and although i denounce this very unpleasant event to the management of the hotel, none dealed with. And after two days of inaction i myself asked if the hotel did something, and only then the response was that we saw that none entered your room. And when i asked furthemore for the exact time of checking the mini bar , the response was more than undetermined....telling two three different times of possible entering the room, while before they have told me that NONE entered the room. After that i was obliged to make a denounce to the competent authorities, in order to be avoided a similar unpleasant situation in the future by the unsuspected visitors of the beautiful Vienna !!!

A room was photographed in the hotel's response to my booking. We were given a much smaller and different room. I booked the garage, but the parking space was gone! we had to look for a garage far away from the hotel. a 4-star hotel that does not have a bidet in the bathroom is to be avoided. uncomfortable pillows and cold room

One of the worst Mercure I have stayed. I was traveling with a group in Oct, stayed in this place for 5 nights. It is not that near to train station, you walk at least 10 mins to reach one. The condition of this hotel was bad. The day we arrived, the hotel lobby had water leakage from the ceiling, and next thing we know, many of our rooms affected. Few of the rooms’ toilet not functioning (couldn’t flush). Room were dark, Aircond was not functioning and the staff advised to open the windows, however, some of our rooms are facing the main road, lots of noice. The room come with extremely minimum amenities. The only thing good about this hotel is the breakfast. Staff- mostly are friendly and helpful, particularly one of them was pretty rude. Overall, not recommended.

Room is extremely small like a Hong Kong hotels and do not even expect as usual Mercure hotels in Asia. This hotel is totally different as sizes and services. Never even 4 star hotel just 3 star hotel is correct. Location is quite great cause from Vienna Airport to Hotel, you can take Vienna Airport Bus Lines (Val 2 - Morzin Platz) and get off at Morzin Platz and walk 2 mins just across the small bridge then it reached. Simply easy to access to hotel when you visit Vienna first. Lift is just one it has which is slow and small. Receptionists are gentle and kind but, not a match with usual Mercure brand hotels in Asia. Well, Enjoy!

The room is comfortable. It's small, but includes a bathroom, a mini-fridge, a TV, a large and soft bed, an armchair, a wardrobe and shelves. Banks and various transport are near the hotel.

I had a flight cancellation at the airport and went all the way to the city center to stay at the Mercure, but the staff at the front desk told me in a rude and aggressive way that they have no rooms left. It was after midnight and I had to walk all the way to another nearby hotel to spend the night. Update after the reply from the hotel: The hotel falsely claims that I called them beforehand to ask for room availability and showed up anyway even after they said they didn't have any rooms (Such outrageous lies that their employees concocted and none of it happened). I'd have appreciated a sincere apology for the horrible customer experience and to own up to your mistake, but to cover it up like this and blame me, that's NOT ACCEPTABLE. I'll NEVER USE MERCURE EVER AGAIN.

I love Mercure Wien City. I stayed at this hotel 7 days and 100% satisfied. 1. Transportation - From Wien Airport, Vienna Airport Bus Val 2 which is priority option cause, you can get off "Morzinplatz" which last stop and just across the road then easily access to hotel. Also, you can use various public transportations mainly use "Schwedenplatz" station which is very convenience to many other city places. 2. Supermarkets - From hotel, just 1 minute to walk to left, there are "SPAR" and across the road then keep straight to pass small playground and there are "BILLA" (Fruits are cheaper in SPAR). 3. Hotel itself - I slept well and there are no evil spirits at all cause always sweet dream. Also, receptionists are gentle, kind and well trained. Room space is enough but, some people think it is small cause furniture arrangement is wrong therefore it looks small but, quite big space. 4. Housekeeping - Just great their effort. Everyday, they work hard and smiling all the time. Thank you!

Hotel nearby the city center. Rooms rather small, specially the bath room. Not super clean, but it was okay. Overall we had a nice stay (due to the location of the hotel and the friendly staff).

Thank you so much to Magali and the rest of the staff who went above and beyond my expectations to create a perfect and wholesome surprise for my boyfriend's birthday ! Such generosity and kindness were very heartwarming and made our stay in Vienna so much better. You can count on us for coming back to see you every time we come to your beautiful city in the future :)

Despite renovations taking place which impacted on the ground floor the hotel is in an excellent location only 10 minutes walk from the main centre. The room and facilities were good - the only issue was not being able to reduce the temperature of the room despite adjusting the thermostat to the lowest temperature and switching on the fan.
