Best climbing gym in Vienna. Great atmosphere, nice people, clean and neat. Different bouldering levels, with an additional separated gym on the upper floor. You can rent climbing shoes at the reception for 4ā‚¬. There are lockers for free, and wardrobe for changing. They also serve food here and good coffee. You can easily spend two hours here without noticing.

Went here as a small favour to myself before taking my flight home and it was fantastic. They have something to cater to everyone, a huge comp wall, a extensive training area with a kilter board, and a nice variation of angles. The only part which i found intimidating was the cave into a sharp top out. They also serve delicious coffee and food. All the staff were very friends and even spoke good English which was a nice bonus. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Vienna!

Basically a public toilet for ā‚¬11.50. The gym features poor hygiene, over crowded to the max with people cutting you off. No safety precautions are observed on the premise (see photos) - this was the most shocking thing. People are literally standing and sitting on the mat area and there is no space for people to fall safely. This is extremely bad practice for a boulder gym. The holds are also very old and slippery. overall I didnā€™t have a good experience and I would rather go somewhere else and save my money.

I looked for a climbing gym for my temporary stay in Vienna and this seemed like one of the best options! Itā€™s big and super well equipped for training, plus the atmosphere is great.

Huge place, great routes, but got VERY busy from c. 17.00 (after work, so unsurprising). Great top out boulder, 2 caves, loads of slabby technical stuff to do, and brilliant route setting. Highly recommend!

Exceptional, modern, super hip bouldering gym. Outstanding selection of highly diverse, creative routes. Every kind of climbing surface you can imagine - from slab to face to multiple overhangs. Great from all skill levels, from easy 4/5s to super technical 7+. Great stretching and yoga area upstairs. Absolutely state-of-the-art. Beautiful gym. I enjoyed this gym so much that I ended up climbing here three times during my visit and didn't even bother checking out the other gyms in town. There was so much variety that it took me that long to climb pretty much every route in the gym. Very friendly young crowd. Everyone speaks English. Easy to talk to people and work on problems. Quick registration for first time vosit. Great cafe (vegan I think) that also sells beers, drinks. Nice sitting area outside. Only complaint is that people smoke outside and the smoke gets into the gym, which is disgusting... But this is hipster Europe, so gotta deal with it I guess... All in all, I absolutely loved it here. Exceptional bouldering experience.

Huge climbing gym with some juicy problems at a good price! You can find a lot of different boulders here from 4+ all the way up to 7+. The ones I tried were awesome! The staff is very friendly, welcoming and they are happy to help you in any case. They have fine coffee, and wide range of food! (Vegetarian options, and plans based milk is a available šŸŒ±šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼) The gym section is well-equipped and clean. Had a great time climbing there, thanks for the great time! -Regards from Hungary

Always a good experience, plenty of routes for all skill levels and even when it's crowded you can do everything you came for. The food and drinks are tasty and well-selected and there's indoor and outdoor seating. What more can you want?

Fantastic bouldering gym, even with limited luggage space I bring my gear all the way from italy just to climb here when i visit vienna...Routes are nice, well set and well graded in my opinion. Warming up area is fantastic too with friendly persons working at the bar.

Itā€™s a nice space and exciting when I first saw it. For me the route setting was so so. Not enough climbs above 7b, less than 10 Iā€™d say. Only two 7c+ and nothing above. For a gym this size I expected more. Shame to come first time and get on the kilter board. The 7c/+ā€˜s are not well set in my opinion. Cool music. Customers traverse into you and stand under you a lot here, not aware of their surroundings. People lie on the mats beneath the climbs, itā€™s a hazard. It happens everywhere but more than Iā€™m used to here, maybe should be addressed with some posters or induction (on my first visit there was no induction, video or explanation for safety or facilities). The gym seems to cater to newer climbers and focus on getting many customers through the door, not an uncommon model.

Great climbing hall, great atmosphere, great people, unfortunately you don't open until 7:30 a.m. I would have liked more time before work as there is always so much going on in the evening that I actually think twice about whether I should come. I'm in favor of new opening hours <3 Thanks! LG

One of the best boulder gyms in Vienna (together with the boulderbars). Best of boulderfabrik: 1) central location 2) nice and diverse routes 3) pleasant outdoor area for drinks and snacks Must go if you are into bouldering.

Big selection of climbing routs, place for yoga etc. Clean and spacious changing rooms. Why 4? Because no normal food. Only vegan.

Best spot in town for bouldering. Lots of open space, so even when it's at it's busiest it's doesn't feel too crowded. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. There's plenty of routes for beginners and their changed pretty often.

+ Great routes + Nice atmosphere + Kind people - Not very big space - Crowded - Warm - Less routes for beginners (level 4-6) and more for experienced climbers (6+) - Hygiene in toilets was not so good Overall I would try out another hall next time.

one of the best bouldering halls i have ever been to! there is a tonne of routes, the routes are challenging in many different ways, you get to really be creative, the people are really nice and willing to engage, i had an amaizing time and would visit Wien again only for this hall honestly!

Vibrant centre with a good vibe. Not many easy climbs but enough for me. Really like the shoe hire and locker system. Food was good too.

If you love open space climbing gyms, this is the place to go in Vienna. Great excercising area, interesting boulders and a bistro with great prices and quality. If you prefere to have your own corner, a bit of quite time and privacy, better choose one of the other nice gyms in Vienna.

If you want to waste A LOT of time waiting- come here. Have been waiting for more than half an hour and still couldn't get in!!! Because the number of people is limited. The previous time I also had to wait but not THAT long! The boulders are nice, but never again!

My favourite place to go bouldering in Vienna. They are constantly changing the routes, always having a mixture of easy and difficult ones. Lovely staff, great warmup area and good bathrooms.

One of the best gyms Iā€™ve climbed at. My partner and I were visiting from Canada and loved everything about this place: the friendly staff, the vibe, the setting. What a great gym, definitely come here if youā€™re in Vienna.

Out of all the bouldering/climbing gyms Iā€™ve been in the world, on different continents - this place is probably my favourite! Gym is large and new(ish?) with great route setting. Thereā€™s something for all levels, and the grades are nicely progressive, with a good variety of problems to test your strengths and weaknesses, whether youā€™re a static or dynamic climber. There are even problems that you can climb over, which you donā€™t see too often. Thereā€™s a nicely equipped training area as well. Bonus points: the staff are quite friendly and speak english!

One of the best bouldering gyms in Vienna. Beware, lots of overhang! But since adding some additional walls, there are enough non-overhanging routes too.

  • 2/5 A.C. P. 1 year ago on Google
Grading was a bit odd, not a huge fan of their holds, and the shower was public (which isn't a great thing in my book). Also, when coming we were asked not to use loose chalk (also a negative in my book). Some routes were a bit odd and some of the info could have been in English for foreign climbers looking to train. Not the worst gym but certainly not the best.

Excellent gym, very large warm up/training/yoga areas. Also has a kilter board, which is always a plus. The wall angles were nicely varied, although slab section was a bit small. Grades were a little soft too, but that could've just been this particular set. Would also be good if the encouraged/educated more people to brush holds, I don't think I saw more than 2 people brushing during my visit (which does not bode well for when these people transition to the outdoors) (negatives are simply not enough of an issue to drop a star, just comments for potential improvements)

A cool boulder gym. Sadly while I was there, the half of the gym was closed up because they were setting new boulders. All in all a nice place with creative routes!

  • 5/5 Fabian R. 1 year ago on Google
Great Boulder Location. The walls and routes are well maintained and interesting. It tends to get quite busy in the evenings though - so better go there a bit earlier in the day.

Nice people, friendly stuff, not too crowded. The changing room is clean and comfort. Building was challenging (in a good way, of course) Hope to be back
