AVOID!, I ended up left stuck outside in 30 degree heat wearing motorcycle leathers because I couldn't check in. There were no self check in instructions and the host wouldn't respond to messages. The place doesn't look like a good hostel to socialise in either and seems a bit out of the way so when I couldn't get checked in I decided I needed to book elsewhere. However, the owner kept the full amount for the 7 days despite me never setting foot in the place.

We arrived after midnight yesterday because of Ryannair delays. The check in is supposed to be 2pm-11pm but we sent messages to verify and find a solution. The staff said that we could arrange a later arrival by discussing it. We sent the messages 2-3 days before, no answer, never. We got an answer today, and the booking was just cancelled now. Amazing. Amazing customer service.

Unfortunately not a good Host, nor a good Hostel. The owner is totally overwhelmed with the work and has no experience. He comes in the room whenever he pleases. No cleaning schedule, just comes in (knocks, then opens the door right away without waiting for a "yes") - even if you are sleeping or getting dressed! He was also making up stories, that our group had violated house rules and wrote me unpleasent long emails even after our stay there. Not a nice person to be around. Cannot recommend ABAI at all. Trust me, you do not want to stay there.

Great host ever. Super helpful! So much passion on his guests. When you have difficulties, no doubt that he would provide any recommendation or even help to solve it. Treat guests as a member of family. I had a good stay in Vienna!!! Thanks host!

I had three nights stay in this hostel, everything was fine, the owner was helpful, supportive and positive. I highly recommend it for those who need cosy and convenient place. The hostel was already opened and I sure it can be much more better in future.

Very nice, clean and comfy. Not far from train station and easy to find. And the owner of hostel is really friendly 😊 I enjoyed my stay.

The host is super nice and organised! Everything is included. The host prepares and makes the hostel like home. He prepares milk, juice and homewares that you can use for free, and other food spices and kitchenwares. Recommended for everyone wants to come to Vienna. The location is great, not exactly near to the center but you can take a direct u-bahn to the center in 15 minutes. The hostel is also close to the most wanted place to see “Schönebrunn Palace” with 5 mins walking. To sum up, I gave 10 out of 10 for this hostel!

Fraud! My sister booked an appartment - ground floor. And when she arrived there the appartment was already been given to other people. Also, several more people booked the same appartment in the same time frame as my sister did. How? Moreover, the owner was unresponsive and the day after pretended to be sick and didn't want to respond to any complaints. And ofc, the personel was unhelpful and didn't speak neither english or german. I mean, how can they get away with this? Also, he deleted all messages from WA, in order to remove evidences where he claims the apartment is going to be provided. Apparently a fraud.

place was okay, had its flaws. Left a review on booking.com — the owner cussed me out in a DM for a bad review and keeps reporting my previous reviews with screenshots of the conversation. Extremely unprofessional and a tad childish, definitely would not recommend.

This one of the most awful places that I have booked with, I had a reservation couple of days ago through booking, I asked them that I will arrive late and the customer service who responded to my message yes no worries and depending on that I came at 12AM asking for hosting but the doors was closed and I need to stay one night at the street because of that, and adding to that they canceled whole of my reservation of 3 days and I need to . search for something else

Amazing ,hospitable ,clean hospitable place. You will be treated with juice, coffee, calm and pleasant guests with whom you will have something to talk about. The hostel owner is very friendly to tell you about all the places you need to visit. If you still think which hostel to choose, then definitely this

I did stay for 4 nights and have to say it's a really nice hostel, kind of little apartment: kitchen, room, bathroom, everything was perfect, they keep it clean, the manager/owner is kind, friendly and gives all the information about the área and a good detail, you have some free food, Coffee which I appreciate :) The bed was quite comfortable. 7-8 min walk to the U- bahn. I would definetely come back when I need it

The owner is so much passionate about his hostel and the advice he gives. He really tries to give you all the tips that he would have loved to receive by a local. Very nice, thanks again and I hope that the hostel will continue to grow with your vision 💪

Trip to Vienna was a last time desicion. ABAI was one the cheapest choices and I feel very grateful for having the chance to stay there for two nights. The place is very clean and full of useful supplies in kitchen and bathroom. I really loved the backyard with the small garden, it is very relaxing to drink your coffee or eat there. A few minutes from there you can easily get to metro or tram station. Mostly, I would like to thank the lovely owner of the hostel for his hospitality. He really loves the place he runs and he does his best to make his guests feel comfortable all the time. I will definitely stay there when I go to Vienna again and I would suggest it to anyone who wants to stay in a small but very warm hostel.

Fraud Alert: My friend's reservation for a ground-floor apartment turned out to be a distressing experience. Upon her arrival, she discovered that the apartment had already been allocated to other guests. Surprisingly, multiple individuals had booked the same unit for the exact timeframe as my friend. The property owner's lack of responsiveness added to the issue, and the following day, the owner feigned illness, refusing to address any complaints. Compounding the matter, the staff on-site proved unhelpful and incapable of communication in both English and German. The apparent lack of accountability for such misconduct raises serious concerns. Furthermore, the owner took the extreme step of deleting all WhatsApp messages, attempting to erase any evidence of prior assurances regarding the apartment's availability. This situation unmistakably points to fraudulent practices.

Stay away!!! The owner had rented out the same apartment to not just one, but multiple guests simultaneously! My friend, who had already paid for the reservation, was left stranded and scrambling to find alternative accommodation because the owner failed to honor the agreement.
