We arrived , reception was closed. We could not find the key in the check in box. We had to look through check out box to find our assigned room. When we opened the room it has not been cleaned. This was at 5:30pm , the check in opens at 3pm. When we called the number of the hostel manager they were helpful and promised to come there asap to clean the room. Their helpfulness is the only reason i am giving two stars. At the end the room was cleaned. We talked to some other tenants and many had the same issue. Really unprofessional and unreliable. And such a waste because the place is actually aesthetically pleasing.

Really affordable hostel! I was a bit nervous at first that it was too good to be true with the price. I read some things that this district is not the best part of town, but honestly it was quite quiet and very close to beautiful buildings and cafes (I recommend felzl backereicafe, about an 8 minute walk!). I felt very safe. It's also close to some student-geared nightlife. Bring a lock that can fit around a school locker, as that is the best place to store belongings. Doors do not lock unless you're in a private room. I started in a 12 bed before my friends came and it was very clean and comfortable, especially with curtains on every bed. Each bed also came with a towel. When my friends arrived we moved to an excellent, massive 4 bedroom private room that even had a lounge area. Bathrooms and showers were just outside the door, and sometimes we ran out of toilet paper and had to go exploring for more, but apart from that it was a great experience. Pretty sound proof hostel. WIFI is quite slow in some areas unfortunately. There is still no reception but that was never a problem. They were very responsive over email. Overall, I'll be recommending this hostel to friends - thanks for a great stay!

Superb Hostel to stay. The rooms are comfortable, heating is there, nice and clean. They also have kitchen, where you can cook, they provide you dishwasher, utensils. There is a asian mini market and penny store nearby. Also the tram stop and Ubahn is just at walkable distance.

The cleaning lady never showed up to prepare my friends' rooms so their beds had dirty sheets. Their door didn't lock, you could literally just walk in. There was also no soap or toilet paper in many of the bathrooms. Lastly, I came back to my room one night to find a MOUSE on my bed. There were also mice droppings in the sheets. Needless to say I was concerned... I don't keep food in my area or eat in bed, which made this even more distressing. Overall I feel I paid way too much for an unclean and unpleasant stay. This place has a large kitchen and is close to a metro stop but the benefits end there.

The bed had clearly been slept in and had hairs in it, a used towel was laying around. There was a sweatshirt left in one of the drawers which was smelling disgustingly of sweat. One of the window hinges was broken so the window was a bit loose and let cool air in. Apart from that underneath the bed had not been cleaned for ages. Toilet paper had rarely been there and was sparcely restocked. The reception isn't open, which I understand had probably been a measure due to the pandemic but now it just seems lazy as the lady who runs this place is incredibly unreliable to reach. Never responds to calls and emails take weeks. We were really disappointed.

It was grimy and unhygienic they didn’t even provide hand soap with the separate toilet bathroom. There is no one at reception and if you have a problem they will not answer your calls. The rooms themselves have no lock, anyone staying in the hostel can come in and out of your room rather than it being limited to those staying in the room. Extremely unsafe. The wifi does not reach the top bunk beds nor is there cell service. The bedding didn’t even cover the entirety of the mattress. Genuinely confused by how such a place with so many problems could have such high reviews.

There is nearly no connection possible in the rooms or kitchen. You need to be in the yard or corridor, so that is a big bummer!

Lovely (BIG!) room and awesome kitchen for cooking. The only drawback was the other guests; People loudly partying and literally yelling until atleast 3am each night, even on Sunday.

Beware We stayed in a private room, thinking would be safer than a dorm. Somebody entered our room and stole a few things, all together around 1500 USD worth. The hostel could not help us, saying the cameras weren't placed in corridors and they didn't see anyone entering the room. They also noted that in a hostel, security was not expected. The manager treated us as if we were lying, and she didn’t care whatsoever. She also mentioned this happened before the pandemic, so it wasn’t the first time, and it wasn’t a big deal. I should highlight that whoever entered the room had access to it because there were no signs of damage to the door. We had to go to the police and file a report, but nothing good came out. I had one of the worst experiences of my life.

Although , this property answer the e mail quickly, there is no reception 7/24. People are entering the property by password, then taking key just from the boxes. Then in checkout time they are giving back to boxes. Even we didnt stay, (we had to choose another place , we weren't had the keys) I can say there werent enough security, nobody check who is coming. And I saw two guy from delivery service come even. And nobody check about corona regulation even (3G rule) (I dont know maybe the property ask in the mail from the guest but if they not be sure nobody will gonna check)

Das Hostel liegt ruhig gelegen in einer Seitenstraße in der Grundsteingasse 10 am Gürtel. Am Gürtel hat man sehr guten Anschluss mit der Tram und U Bahn. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, sauber und hell. Leider gab es weder TV noch Radio und auch keinen Tisch und keinen Stuhl auf dem Zimmer. Und die Temperatur Regelung der Dusche empfand ich auch als schwer. Es gab leider auch keine beweglichen Duschkopf. Frühstück oder ähnliches wurde auch nicht angeboten. Das Personal war nett und hilfsbereit.
