Great breakfasts, decent sized rooms, but the staff look as though they would kill to be anywhere else, and if you are booked in as a group they are about as flexible as granite (wanted to switch rooms, because we got paired wrong - even do we stated preferences beforehand - and were told first, that if we arrange it between ourselves it was ok, just can't be done on their end, and at the end, that we should not have done it; in a patronising way giving us the feel that she would have called the police if she could be bothered to). And the windows don't open. At all. And the rooms are really hot during the night.

The hotel is good for a 1 night stay only, maybe 2 maximum. Price is reasonable, cheap... so don't expect the nicest room, it is very basic. Breakfast is great, buffet. Near to tram station, but it is 30 mins by tram until the city center. Clean hotel, great environment. Paid parking space (14euros per day), there is no towel so bring your own or pay an extra charge. Kind and helpful staffs. Overall, the hotel is good, but ofcourse because of the price, it is not the greatest. But I could say that we will definitely stay again.

Location is good, close to the center, also with this price you cannot find place like this including breakfast in Vienna. Room and bed sheets are very clean. Room was quite cold in Dec, i had to wear my sweat pants and shirts when i go to sleep. Breakfast is not bad, people were reviewing it was great which i will not totally agree. It is just average, no omelet or fried eggs which is something mandatory for breakfast. Other than that this is a great place for short stay.

Housekeeping works only to take out the trash, towels are for the whole stay and when we asked to do checkout few later (on an empty monday morning), answer was "no chance". First day, housekeeping workers left our door open! Breakfast is good. Far from downtown but only 2mins to tram station.

It’s an old psychiatric hospital where the windows barely open so it’s crazy warm in the room, and they try to charge you for a fan, so it’s easily more than 30C in the room in the summer. It was impossible to sleep there. Don’t let the free breakfast fo you, it looks like you’re interned in your hostel, the maintenance is super bad, the showers were absolutely disgusting(and they were medical showers) the wifi doesn’t work. As a backpacker, it’s the only time I ever left a hostel before the end of my reservation, and I’ve been to plenty hostels. And they’re is no kitchen so you can’t even make yourself food. Really a place to avoid.

The hostel is below average - but it is bearable. You get an okay experience for a cheap price. Nevertheless you can definitely expect more, since it would make the experience more enjoyable. For 120+€ we could stay in a private room with 2 beds (one bed on top another) There was a shower available. The room was clean. The beds were okay, the original bedsheet was not clean but there were fresh and clean linen provided, which you could put on top. The shower was clean-ish but for some reason the bathroom smelled like someone smoked in there, likely due to the air vent. The room we stayed in lacked serious power outlets, only one was available in the room, the other one was in the bathroom which had no power anymore as soon as you turned off the bathroom lights. This is not okay since you practically need a power outlet to charge your devices, but you will most likely block at least one - the one in the hallway, since you will need the fan. Without a fan the room is unbearable in the summertime. Too hot - too humid, basically no airflow due to the windows only being tiltable. On a sidenote to that the USB ports mounted to the bedside were broken for us, so we had to use the normal power outlet. On top of that they charge you 2€ for the fan during your stay. The breakfast was okay, the selection was wide which is appreciated but do not get the orange juice nor the other raspberry flavoured drink - they are horrible. The cereals were good, the bread and bread rolls were good too. The cheeses (vegetarian) and vegan(!) spreads were good too. The fruit salad was partially frozen and the thawing made everything watery. I still recommend to go early as soon as they open the breakfast, otherwise the kids will make a mess there. The coffee from the machine was a ghastly watery bean soup. The staff was friendly and nice tho, it could speak English and german. Overall - I wouldn't go there again, but it was an experience for sure. If you can bear 37°C in your room - go for it.

I liked a lot the quality-to-price ratio, as for Vienna it was quite cheap and having most of the intended facilities. Not so great to have to purchase a towel set, but the outstanding INCLUDED breakfast kind of compensated for that. I didn't like the fact that the staff was pushing out for checkout just a few minutes after 10AM (the due checking out time), it was something perfectly avoidable.

No nonsense. Some issues with cleanliness of rooms / bathrooms, but rooms are stayable and no real complaints. Location is fine given the cost.

The worst hostel I have ever been!! Rude personal especially the boys!! The rooms are tiny, no outlets to charge your phone and fee for the towels! The window is locked and you cannot breathe in such room on summer!! Its better to give some more money and stay somewhere else! Breakfast is good!

If you know hostels, this is one of the good ones. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room are what you'd expect for the price, though I was happily surprised about the very stable beds and a sink with a mirror. The window doesn't open fully so it does get very warm and stale in the summer. The bathrooms were perfectly normal group bathrooms, lockable showers and toilets. Breakfast was great, typical Müsli and bread roll stations, loads of drink options. The next station is a 10 minute walk away and the train to the city centre leaves regularly and takes about 25 minutes. All in all a comfortable stay for our 3 day trip. Would definitely stay again.

Hostel Brigittenau Vienna The hostel has a very convenient location and despite it not being near the center of Vienna, it takes just five minutes to get to the underground station from which you can easily travel everywhere around Vienna. The trains arrive every five minutes and you can also travel by bus or tram. You can stay in a single room with your own bathroom or book a double bed room with a bathroom as well. Some rooms don't have their own bathroom, but you'll find it on each floor so if you don't mind sharing a bathroom with a bunch of strangers, it is cheaper and you can make friends. The service is sufficient for a shorter stay, but if you want like to stay longer I would recommend booking another hotel. You can have a breakfast and even a lunch or a dinner if you pay for it. For breakfast you have many options to choose from. If you like sweet or salt breakfast, a tea or a coffee, you can have everything you hope for. In conclusion I think that hostel Brigittenau is a great place for young travellers who would like to explore the city of Vienna, but don't have much time for it.

I got a 2 bedroom female only room and the other girl checked in around 1 am. When she came. In the room it really frightened me because she turned on all the lights at 1 am, waking me up. I noticed that there are not that many people in the hostel and it would have been best if the receptionist just assigned her her own room since she arrived so late at night. The room was very dusty especially in the closets.

One of economical and budget hotels/hostels in Vienna! Location is very good, just few steps from Friedrich Tram Station, ans 10minutes to City Center, 30 minutes to Vienna Main Central Traim Station and Airport. The rooms are very minimalist though, just bunk beds and simple chairs and table. But the breakfast is sooo good with varieties of Vienna Style Breakfast, especially many varieties of breads, toasts, cheeses, milk, spreads, etc... Also we can put in our luggage for many hours for free after we checked out because we wanted to go City Tour. Over all, very recommended place to stay, if you just want to sleep over.

Great hostel with cheap rooms for Vienna prices. Good connectivity to the center city. The double ensuite rooms are HUGE and fantastic, so we asked to upgrade. The beds were on the harder side and a bit creaky. The cheaper double rooms are a bit claustrophobic with bunk beds. Would definitely stay again!

We were here for a business trip and we had an amazing trip. We could use the very spacious meeting room. Rooms were very clean, staff was friendly and breakfast was good. The queue at the breakfast was a bit long, but was okay! Thank you and see you soon! :)

Terrible experience! First of all, they didn't give us a hair dryer because they were all taken. The double bed isn't actually a double bed because unlike what they said, even if they are next to each other, there is a wood gap in between. The queue for the breakfast took us half an hour and the key to open the door stopped working even before check out time so by the time we finally managed to go in again, it was 10:05 and a cleaning lady banged the door open hitting the wood on the side. I wouldn't recommend it as they are not friendly and professional at all. It is also very far from the center of the city.

Good offer for an average price. Good reception when we arrive, available 24h and where it is possible to communicate in English. Spacious rooms with TV and offer of a varied breakfast. Negative point: the constant noise of young children running down the hall and constantly knocking on our bedroom door after the resting hours (11pm).

Nice and not pricey hostel. Rooms are clean, staff very friendly. You got towels and free breakfast is included. Only thing that I didn't like are pillows, they are very thin and it's not easy to sleep on them. But I would recommend this place definitely.

Very good place for a fair price in Vienna. Quick access to the train station where you can go to the centrum. It all looked clean and comfy. The breakfast was also satisfying. I would come back

Not a super social place for solo travellers, but the rooms are large, clean and quiet. Good connections to city and airport. Breakfast and wifi are good, as is the common area for working. Staff are helpful and make an effort to communicate in English. Good option for transit in Vienna

  • 5/5 Tom B. 7 months ago on Google
Good place to stay in Vienna. The price is very good for what you get. Breakfast included and good with variety. The personnel was helpful an kind. The room as well as the shared bathrooms were well maintained and regularly cleaned. Easy access to the building and different floors. Common space was nice with an outside terrace as well to enjoy the weather. While it is quite far away from the city center, it is easy to take the public transport from the hostel. If you're not afraid to walk you can do it on foot as well by walking along the Donaukanal. The hostel is very quiet in the night so you can enjoy your sleep. Only problem I had was the pillow which was completely empty on one half and the other half had the stuffing so densly packed that is was very hard.

The hostel located outside of the center, however you can reach it by S train (15 mins by train) and then walk a bit (around 10 Minutes) . The biggest Pros for this hotel is the price which is fair and good in comparison to other hostels . Other of big advantage here is the breakfast which is a good breakfast with a lot of different choices, I enjoyed it . Now this is my experience at the hotel and it is not a critic, it is just explaining the situation there maybe it could be helpful for someone to decide better, for me it was one night and it was the best choice based on my needs. I stayed in a room has 4 bed . The bed is good, however the pillow is very loose which makes for me pain in the neck, located above you at the bed a USB charger possiblity however it is not charging fast. The rooms are isolated good which has one advantage and other disadvantage The advantage is that this room in winter good because you will feel good. The disadvantage at summer, the room is very hot and there is no ventilation. My advice if you are 4 travellers together or even two and you can buy a small ventilator even something small could help you to sleep better . Toilets were clean and shower was good, however you need to press every 30 second at a button to keep the water running, my opinion the management did it like that in order to prevent if someone forgot/left the water open and gone If you wanna save money and you will stay long, bring your own towels and shampoo and soup and a small locker 🔓

Good price, nice breakfast! The room we were in did not have air conditioning, and got really hot (Outside temp 28+ C). They did have fans for rent though.

a great place for a temporary stay. The reception is open around the clock. Clean towels, there is breakfast. For breakfast, you can eat sandwiches, boiled eggs only. There is a tram nearby, and you can get to the center in 30 minutes.

Wi-fi was not working for 2 days, even if it's included in hostel's offer. Breakfast is extremely simple, but you won't be hungry. There is good communication to center and markets around. Rooms are clean. You cannot open windows in room which is a little strange. I didn't like that we were asked to leave document at reception in case of losing keys. In general 3/5.

I really like this place. Its clean and breakfast was great. If I will visit Vienna next time, I will stay in this hostel again.

It is far from realway station or from international bus centre. Clean, but very simple rooms and equipments. But the breakfast was good. You have to take care about exact check-out time, otherwise you can not entrance into your room for your laggueges... ?

  • 4/5 Mostafa F. 4 years ago on Google
overall very nice hostel. the location is far from the city center, so you have to take the tram. Staff is very nice patient and helpful. The atmosphere is not very nice especially that the hostel is a destination of large groups and sometimes group of school kids so the whole floor will be noisy, aside as the hostel is very big and does not organize any activities so you won't get the chance to know other people. Breakfast is included you do not have to pay for it and it stays till 9:45 The room and the bathroom is very clean although you have to bring your own towel. Rooms has lockers but you have to bring your lock, and in case you need to leave your luggage after you check out you can use one of their lockers Overall it worth it

  • 3/5 David 4 years ago on Google
Pros: Cheap and pretty basic hostel accomodation near city centre. Clean rooms, showers and bathrooms. The cleaning service seems to be working 24/7. Rich breakfast buffet which you can attend very early (from 6:45) was included in a price. Parking in a garage for a reasonable price (12€/day). Cons: The receptionist kept my ID overnight for some reason. She said that it is deposit in case I break something if I understood right. I find this very shady, not proffesional and even against the law since my ID was left unwatched in the key box on the reception during the night. They should find another way to protect themselves against this.

Our staying in this hotel was amazing, the hotel is new and fresh, and our room was very clean. Wi-Fi works well in the room, I needed to work, so it was really important for me. Breakfast was sooo delicious. Also, there is an opportunity to buy lunch and dinner for 7,80 euros each. It`s really a cheap price for Vienna. Lunch was delicious too. The location is good, the tram station is around 3 min walking from the hotel. It will take around 20 minutes to go to the city center by tram. This hotel is a really good choice for a short staying. Good price for it's quality. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended if in Vienna! Been there with my family and I have been working there with large groups for three years, they are just amazing. Food options are great and buffet style. Cleaning is super, they provide bed sheets and you just take them out when you check out. For additional price they also have towels. No ac in the rooms but they have fans at the reception. Common area accessible 24/7 in the basement. In a word: amazing

  • 3/5 Caleb C. 4 years ago on Google
The price is right. They can also house huge groups here. The rooms are very stale. It feels and smells like it was completed yesterday. Bare concrete all around you. Because of this, all noise travels. At some points I feel as though my own thoughts are echoing. The front desk lady was SUPER rude. She seemed stressed, but took it out on patrons’ children who were in the lobby. Truly yelled at them. They were being sweet as well. Very out of place. She is the worst part of this hotel, in my opinion.

  • 5/5 Ramona D. 4 years ago on Google
A nice place, close to the city centre(20 min by tram to the city centre). If you don't want to spend too much money on accomodation, then this is a good place to stay in as it's very cheap. Me and my partner paid £150 for 3 nights with breakfast included. The personnel was very friendly!☺️

  • 4/5 Sophie L. 5 years ago on Google
The place was overall quite nice. The reception and common areas are nice, modern and clean. The room was very very spacious for only 4 people. Appreciated that we could choose an all female room. Only let down was the bathrooms not being very clean or inviting. The breakfast was free and was average. Quite good location for city centre but not brilliant. Would stay again.

Unfortunately, the photos displayed on the website are not what you will get. As this is a hostel (not an hotel) you have shared bathroom and showers. Parking is stated as free but you have to pay for it. Breakfast is included but the selection of the food is poor and the quality below average. Staff is kind and friendly nevertheless.

(Translated by Google) CAUTION The hotel looks good only from the outside and has been restored. Inside the hotel is dirty and dated, the rooms are disgusting and the windows cannot be opened. The shared showers are the worst. The food is ok. Staff is rude. I didn't expect a presidential suite, but at least a clean room. I don't want to damage the hotel's reputation, I just want to share my honest opinion with others.

This hostel is very nice and organized it looks more like a hotel. I highly recommend it. Its very clean, includes daily breakfast, staff are super nice and English fluent. Its close to a trum station which makes transportation in any direction very easy. I came here during corona and they gave me the two bedroom (which is more expensive) only for myself even tho I reserved the 4 bedroom with other people. I loved staying here!

A nice place to rest yourself after a long tourism day. Rooms are okay, beds are average. Breakfast was tasty, liked it. Location is great. It's enough to ride about 15 mins on a tram to get to the central station.

They made me pay for a membership that I never asked when I pay for the night I stayed there. It’s very crowded, if you stay there for a couple of nights or you’re used to hostel vibes, it’s okay for you.

Cheapest in vienna. Acceptable location. -rep for beds, we had to prepare them ourselves. Also no AC in rooms, it's warm 🥵 af in there.

  • 4/5 Johannes Bruno G. 1 year ago on Google
Really good and big rooms. Breakfast was also totally fine since it is included in the price. Take into account that there are two hostels in the same address, one with individual rooms, the other with shared rooms.

  • 5/5 Basir A. 2 months ago on Google • 1 review New
I was here just before Christmas, the staff was extremely helpful and kind (wonderful people) and also professional. the breakfast was also really good which is included with your stay which is quite nice, the sheets were clean the room was also clean, even though at night outside it was like 4 or 5 degree cilceus it wasn't cold at all in the room and the heater was working ah, also meet some wonderfull people while at the hostel so i spent the chrismis night with them at the city hall, which was quite memorable. one more thing to consider is the price, the price on b00king was much higher than the actual price, i paid 28 euro for a night but on the website was like 78 or something like that, so you should go there and ask the staff "very nice people" about the price because it's definitely lower
