HOP ON HOP OFF Station Vienna Sightseeing image

HOP ON HOP OFF Station Vienna Sightseeing

Bus station

😠 Only one kind of ticket. 30€ per person for 24 hours. No heating. Bad translation in Greek. Worst experience in a hop-on hop-off bus. First of all I've been traveling for years in more than 30 European cities and I enjoy this bus cause you can see everything and gain some orientation for the first... People often mention Vienna, time, hour, yellow, times, stop, line, pass, city, money,

We purchased our hop on hop off tickets right at the bus stop on the corner in front of the Opera House. Cost was €29.00 per person for 4 lines (red, blue, green, yellow hop on/off line) for 24 hour pass. You can get it cheaper if you buy online. They had different options the staff explains to you. You cannot miss the ticket agents as they are right in front of the bus stop wearing bright yellow jackets. The bus takes you to all the major attractions. The times for when the bus arrives at each stop is posted at the stops. We used the bus to familiarize ourselves with the city as well as the history of the city you hear from the prerecorded documentary you hear with headsets. When you get on the bus you take headsets they provide and use them for entire pass. Before you buy a pass know what you want to see/do so you buy the appropriate pass. Gor example if you want to get off at each stop and see every attraction you'll need more than a 24 hour pass.

Only one kind of ticket. 30€ per person for 24 hours. No heating. Bad translation in Greek. Worst experience in a hop-on hop-off bus. First of all I've been traveling for years in more than 30 European cities and I enjoy this bus cause you can see everything and gain some orientation for the first day. I've never paid 30€ for it. It's around 12€ to maximum 18€ for one or two routes per person. Two adults we paid 60€ in a freezing day (-5°C) so we thought it would be nice to enjoy the ride. Not. No heating system & more than 20 people in each bus means foggy Windows all around, means no good view in any case, or any good photos at all. For God's sake I just paid 60€ gimme some heating. So let's talk about translation. It's a good thing you have greek on the menu. We are both fluent in English but hearing all this historic staff is always better in your mother tongue. This guy was talking like he was drunk or stoned or something. He's greek made no sense and he was skipping letters or words or I don't know what was wrong with him. If you are gonna serve me bad greek too, better not give it toe at all. Hopefully someone is reading all these things and decides to update the whole thing a little bit so you have happy clients instead of just taking their money once.

It’s the worst sightseeing I ever experienced, it’s simply a waste of money and time. The don’t stick to any published schedule at all. They waste your time waiting. It’s basically garbage, stay away, it’s worthless. I’m in Vienna now and I’m really frustrated with their service. If there is zero star they deserve it

The best way to see Vienna. There are 4 different lines ro shoose from and one night bus. He price is a bit high but if you buy Vienna Pass you get to use hop on hop off unlimited time during your stay for free. Here is audio guide that i suggest you to use since you can here a lot about places that you are passing by. Audio guide is available in 18 languages.

We bought tickets online for 2 adults for 31 euros each. We took the blue line and the yellow line the whole way round. Overall I was very pleased. The headphones worked fine. There are long stretches of road where there’s no commentary (just music), but most tourist attractions do have their own commentary. The charging ports for mobile phones were a pleasant surprise.

Quite underwhelming (as compared with our experience in Barcelona). No history of the City provided. We drove past interesting looking buildings and all we were told was that there was great shopping to be had nearby. (Even though the shops were closed).

Boring. They tell something only 20% of the time, the rest music plays time. Worst experience in Vienna. During the excursion they suddenly start speaking a different language.

The driver of yellow line with a long white hair and sunglasses doesn’t respect elder people with a wheelchair. Very rude and needs someone to teach him ethics in Vienna University lol.

(Translated by Google) Time Travel is no longer there and Haus des Meeres also finds out everything on site or by email. Edit: on our tour there were suddenly changes to the timetable which were not renewed at every stop. At 3 p.m. we arrived at Mariahilfstrasse from the State Opera, but we wouldn't have come back with the sightseeing bus because the last one left there at 2:38 p.m. ... so we preferred to go to the hotel I find it worse that the departure times are not adhered to. We would have had 4 minutes left and the bus drove away under our noses! I moved my little daughter from the Lower Belvedere to the Kursalon when I was 4.5 years old because the next bus came too late for us. And the next one will only leave in an hour! Impossible times. Now I'm just walking across Vienna with her. But just in time for the end of work, which is at 5 p.m., drive people off the bus. The buses only run until 5 p.m. So nothing with evening tours, the Ring Tram only runs from Friday to Sunday. Is also different. If that happens to you often during the day you never get around. Or have to pay for the subway. Also nix mit Abendtouren.

(Translated by Google) A very cool touristic achievement. You learn a lot about the city and its individual sights. You can get out and get back in anywhere. The ticket is valid for 24 hours. Trip on the bus that was included with the Vienna pass, we did w The yellow route to go to the palace and the blue one to go to the danunio. Audio was sometimes not Spanish

This hop on hop off is not worth it! You don't learn anything interesting through the headphones; 80% of the time you just listen to classical music. Most sights cannot be reached with this. Several times it was said "the bus is now taking a break, please get off." The subway network is perfect and you can reach all the sights quickly and easily, 72 hour subway ticket for 2 people just €30. Much much better money spent!

The buses are greasy, it's more of a city tour than a ride. The music is super annoying and the explanations are very short, more annoyance than pleasure

Random schedule, uninteresting and poor quality audio guide, dirty windows and not to be taken during rush hour because you will waste a lot of time in traffic jams. Take a transport card.

(Translated by Google) Slightly long waiting times than advertised. Hardly any general information about the history of the city, instead advertising about any museum entries. Idle times between the individual sights should be bridged with general information about Vienna.

(Translated by Google) Trip to schoenbrunn really too short for the price paid! Insufficient free time at the castle, like the indications given by the very exhausted guide on what to do: we missed the visit to the park at the back of the castle, which was also with free entry! Big disappointment! (Translated by Google) From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., stops are only approached every 1/2 hour. Once the bus was full - wait another 1/2 hour. The bus was late for the last trip by 35 minutes. We could have saved the money of 27 euros/person and instead taken a 1-day ticket for the excellent public transport network. We would have seen a lot more hotspots with that! (Original) Von 10 bis 18 Uhr werden Haltestellen nur in 1/2 Std. Rhytmus angefahren. (Translated by Google) Unfortunately, we were given wrong advice, so that far too much was paid, but little could be used for it. Most trips start at 10 a.m., the last one starts at 5 p.m., so you can't combine some things and don't talk about 24 hours! Used because included in the Vienna pass. Barely decent service but above all DISAPPOINTING RUDE from the staff. In particular, an employee (dark hair and eyes, a bit of a beard, quite tall and thin, perhaps Arab features and I think around 30 years old) at the stand at the opera stop, filled us with insults without us having said or asked him absolutely nothing and he even threw the flyer at me screaming at me to read it: me, my family behind me and others present on site with wide-eyed and incredulous eyes. I hope they take action because I can't imagine what someone like that could do, in contact with the public, if he finds an insistent or not very nice customer. Honestly, a very serious episode that I still don't know how to explain!
