(Translated by Google) Great place to relax from the city. Some restaurants are located in the MuseumsQuartier with guest gardens and a viewing platform on the Leopold Museum. I took their tour to Hallstadt in January 2022. Do not book this tour in the winter! The shops were 70% closed. The ones that were open closed at 3p or earlier but the bus only leaves at 4p. The guide we had was nice enough but his English was very poor - almost impossible to understand. If weather is off even slightly you can't see anything from the funicular. The mine was closed. The boat trip was unavailable (which was disclosed, but with the promise of a more comprehensive walking tour which this guide was unable to provide. Way too expensive for this level of value. They refused to offer any refund as well.

The tour starts at 7:15 am. The instructions were given quite straight forward. Last time I visited Hallstatt was using train and it was my owned. Unless you plan to stay over night there, I recommend this tour for those who wants to visit the main church and for the view. You will spend a lot of time on the road. The bus is comfortable and the view during the traveling time is enjoyable. Your tour guide is very professional and humorous. He will speak in German and English for the explanation. Enjoy the trip it is worth it.

I was having a city trip in Vienna for just one day, and I figured that a hop on / hop off tour with the bus might be the best option to see the most of the city. I was not disappointed. The tour offers so many great opportunities to explore Vienna and take pictures. I personally started from the city center, taking a trip around town with the red line, then switching to green to get all the way up to the Kahlenberg for some very impressive panoramic views. Unfortunately the green line that goes up to the top of the hill only has a bus coming about every 45 minutes... so better not miss it. All in all that was 28€ spent on the opportunity to explore Vienna for 24 hours as much as I like with the transportation that’s provided - and it’s frankly really extensive. I can very much recommend this to anyone who has just a limited amount of time to do sightseeing in Vienna. For that, this tour is likely the best way to go.

We had Scottish visitors over a long weekend in May and wanted to squeeze in as much of Vienna as possible, without any of the responsibility of having to come up with interesting tidbits about the city ourselves, so we ended up deciding on a tour (the panorama tour). The tour starts in the city centre near the opera house, and weaves its way through the inner districts to Grinzing and Kahlenberg. The bus stops there for a break (there’s a café and smaller shops for drinks/snacks/souvenirs, a small but very pretty church, and a brilliant view of Vienna from above!) and then makes its way back to Vienna via Klosterneuburg, past the Danube Island and UNO City to the Danube Tower. Up on the Danube Tower you get a closer look at Vienna from above, the Old Danube, Danube Island and the surrounding area, and of course the tower itself is impressive as well. The lift has a glass ceiling! Thankfully it doesn’t have a glass floor. The tour then takes you back to the opera house. We liked this tour because it takes you to all the places that are annoying to get to on public transport (Kahlenberg, Klosterneuburg, Danube Tower – without a car you wouldn’t be able to do all those in a single day), but you still get to see a lot of the sights the city centre and inner districts have to offer. The aircon on the bus was a welcome break from the heat, too. Our tour guide Karl-Heinz and the bus driver really didn’t have circumstances on their side (a lot of construction going on in the city centre currently so some roads were closed to traffic), but they just adapted the route slightly and Karl-Heinz smoothly managed to segue from one story about one building into the next just as we were passing that location. Our tour group consisted of Viennese, Scottish and Indian people and he threw in some bits that were relevant to each of our home countries as well. Our guests and my family enjoyed the tour a lot, and even (or maybe especially) as someone from Vienna, I was just well and truly impressed. Would recommend!

I am rating two trips. One from Vienna to Hallstatt and the other from Vienna to Salzburg. Starting by the first one which was to Hallstatt, It was perfect. Long trip 4 hours as expected but with stops. Place is small so guide did not use much time showing around. Just explained the necessary locations and we had ample time to explore, eat and take loads of photos. The place is like a fantastic dream world. Had the boat trip on the lake which was wonderful but no time for cable car on the mountain. Worth the long trip. The trip to Salzburg was good but disappointing when it comes to places related to the film The Sound of Music. We were only shown Mirabell platz and the tour guide (I think Davide was his name) stated that Austrians hate the film for its inaccuracy. Ok his opinion, fine but if he has a problem showing us places he does not like, he can change his job. He is very well versed in English and history but was toooo fast. Older people could not catch up with him at times. Salzburg is a wonderful place and should be admired for its history not just the film but if film locations are advertised, they should be included specifically not just one. Otherwise wonderful.

Hop On Hop Off Bus Review - Windows are extremely dirty (from the outside!). For a 'sightseeing' tour bus company, they really don't bother to clean the upper deck windows at all. Along with the fog build-up (on the inside), we could barely see anything through them. Plus, the ceiling windows are so scratched up, and at least 20% of all headphones jacks don't even work. Please clean the outside windows and fix the jacks. Some buses are in worse condition than others. Not really worth the price. Pics attached are of the danube tower with and without the windows in the way. Also, they are hardly ever on time. On multiple occasions, we watched the big bus company buses stop twice at the same spot, before ours finally showed up.

Unfortunately, no option for no stars. We were given the wrong address to pick up the pass, spent all day trying to find it, and, arriving 1 minute late, were not let in despite all the staff still being at their desks. Disgraceful.

A great way to see Vienna! My boyfriend and I only had 1 day to see Vienna and we opted for this bus tour. We were able to see all major landmarks as well as stop for lunch and enjoy our day without being stressed. They have different routes so you can choose which parts of the city you want to see first. I would definitely recommend!

Red line for cbd history Yellow line for city outskirt history.. Most lovely blue line for Danaube tour...A must ride fir a quick review of almost entire Vienna meaning ful places Buses are very comfortable and a free Wi-Fi...The audio infotainment keeps you abridged over all information. To comb Vienna..It's a must go. Low cost obviously.

Lovely space to visit museums, buy art books and hang out if the weather is nice. In the summer they have plenty of jazzy events and it's all very vibrant. A wonderful space for discovering and "consuming" art in all its forms.

(Translated by Google) The MuseumsQuartier definitely invites you to linger :) There is a bar where you can get drinks. This is due to the Mumok. In between there is a small light show on the buildings. The MQ Libelle is directly across from the Mumok. In fact only met friendly and nice people there. If you guys helped or liked the review, I would be happy if you liked it :) (Original) Das MuseumsQuartier lädt defintiv zum verweilen ein :) Es gibt eine Bar an der man sich Getränke holen kann. I’ve booked a Vienna night tour. On the website it was mentioned that the tour will have an audio guide on 16 languages. In fact, half of the languages didn’t work, which I didn’t realise till I tried to switch to other languages. Even English language didn’t work so I had to choose between languages which I barely know. Quite pricey bus ride around the city centre, don’t recommend it. Better take normal public transport

Extream worst experience ever in a tour bus, is 31 degree burning hot and they do not have aircon whatsoever, (and they do not even mention that before you pay), all upstairs seats are burning hot, downstairs are like ovens, we are all suffercating, plus paying 32euro per person. Do not ever go there. at least not in summer. (I think all tour bus in Vienna don't have aircon. sadly not just this one) But it's like paying money for a extream burning experience. Crazy.

I do not recommend it. Personnel prefers to talk to each other, rather then checking the tickets. Very loud music and not so loud narrator. English narrator has sick German accent. 6 of 10 headphones ports are actually work. The comment in the headphones does not match the places the bus go. The roof is scratched, can't see through. Not their fault, but most of the time the bus stays in the traffic delays. Next time I'd better take a tram.

(Translated by Google) I purchased the Vienna Pass online and collected it directly in the center of Vienna. Taking the 6-day package, I can say that the savings in both money and time have been significant since Fast-Track entrance was included in many attractions. What is fundamental, is that almost all the most important things to see in Vienna were included in this Card so I can say that it was a great support for the holiday and that without it I would have had to give up seeing certain attractions because the costs would have been excessive . The only thing I would change is the timetable of the Bus HOP ON HOP OFF VIENNA SIGHTSEEING TOURS as it makes its last run at 18 and especially in the summer it could weigh a little. I highly recommend buying this card to anyone who is passionate about discovering new places and who in the meantime can save both time and money.

The bus drivers are friendly or rather unfriendly depending on the bus. Unfortunately, the stops are usually too unimpressive. It does not make sense where the buses stop, when they leave and how long they are on the road. Does the green line only go 2 times a day ?? In the city at least some employees are traveling from time to time. For the money just too complicated and complicated. The beautiful city can be better explored. Bei der Konkurrenz sind in der Stadt wenigstens ab und an mal Mitarbeiter unterwegs.. Für das Geld einfach zu umständlich und kompliziert. Die wunderschöne Stadt kann durchaus besser erkundet werden.

(Translated by Google) The bus tours are very well chosen. Also, more places are approached than BigBus. Here stands above all the green route out, which is otherwise not driven me to the. Kahlenberg. Very nice. The other routes are very informative. However, the Night Tour is not worth it at all, here is just a bit more than the red tour driven and explained. If you have done the other tours before, it is just boring. Also the service is very bad if you can not find your ticket anymore. You get directly told that a new one must be bought. For what are the tickets then personalized and you had to present on the 72 hour ticket even seven identity card and the number was noted. The shipping is not really worth it. You do not see much and you hardly get any information. Conclusion. The tours in the city are perfect. Staff moderately polite. Fazit. Die Touren in der Stadt reichen vollkommen. Personal mäßig höflich.

A good option for getting acquainted with Vienna, but there are several disadvantages. 1) the printed route map is beautiful but not informative - it is very difficult to find real stops in the city; 2) the application for the phone is also useless - there are no interactive map or online timetable for buses; 3) in a very popular places it is quite a real situation when there will be no seats in the bus and not everyone who was waiting for him will go. The price is justified if you are in Vienna for a few days, it is more a matter of convenience than savings. In addition, many, but definitelly not all, of the city's top attractions are included in the ticket.

I purchased the 3 day pass. I really enjoyed it. It has 60 attractions tickets free, with 3 day pass of hop on hop off bus. Adults 125 euros.. Below 19 they charge 68 euros

I would recommend them to be more friendly, the girl who gave us the service for the tickets and the info was not that helpful, she sold us tickets for touring the danube river but she did not explain that we need to go and change the vouchers so we arrive just like that and a very unfriendly guy in a very bad mood told us that we need to go to the office and change them. The 75 minute tour in the river was not worth it. Use that time to do other things

I took the day trip to Halstatt and the bus left on time, the tour guide was very informative and polite! The trip in Halstatt was well planned and the boat tour was a wonderful way to see the city in the most spectacular way possible! The bus was comfortable and the time off on the city by ourselves was a wonderful way to visit this small city in our own pace. It's a great way to visit Halstatt in a day trip with lots of background historical information on the city!!

Really enjoyed using the bus. Easy to find and most of the staff is great and helpful. Signs are easy to find, but they need to work on lining people up in the order that they come. People that show up 30 min after you, shouldn't get to get on the bus before you. This is the reason for the 3 star instead of 5.

(Translated by Google) I have already used similar hop-on hop-off offers in many European cities. Vienna Sightseeing was by far the worst ... The stops are marked extremely imprecisely on the map that you get when you buy. You cannot estimate the distances and we sometimes had to allow up to 20 minutes to find the stop. The bus only runs every 60-90 minutes, depending on the line, so you spend a lot of time waiting. In addition, the last bus runs between 3 and 4 p.m. during the week, depending on the stop! When we finally got inside we were almost entirely stuck in a traffic jam, the seats are extremely tight and the driver drove very roughly. The route is not particularly beautiful either, you can only see a few sights from the bus. In the end we drove around the red line once and that was it. After that we walked or took the subway so as not to waste our trip looking for stops or waiting for the bus ... I would definitely not buy it again! (Original) Ich habe schon in vielen europäischen Städten ähnliche Hop-on-Hop-off Angebote genutzt.

In the heart of Vienna, Museumsquartier, surprises you with its beauty, complexity and artistic diversity. It is a true artistic oasis in the middle of the town, where you can relax your senses by visually enriching yourself in every corner of it. Museumsquartier is certainly one of my personal highlights as a Viennese.

This place is all about enjoying and being yourself. If you would like to have some time in presence of more people, to feel some vibe... May it be alone may it be with friends or maybe meeting new friends? That is the place. It is also a Cultural hub in Vienna with many cultural events involving, music, dance, theater, also for kids and family programs... I did not give 5 start only because of the prices over there, which tend to be higher than the average. But definitely worth a visit!

Great way to explorer Vienna when you have just 3 days. We took ticket for 36 euro for all bus lines for 72 hours. Very frequent bus service. Buses are clean and comfortable, drivers and other staff are polire and very helpful. There some air conditioned buses on green rout.

  • 2/5 Katelyn R. 1 year ago on Google
Very unreliable bus schedule. I booked a 6 day pass for my week in Vienna. And literally every bus came at minimum 20 minutes late. (Which is crazy considering it's supposed to come every 30 mins...) We tried to "beat the system" by showing up 10 or even 15 mins early.. and would still end up waiting 40 mins. There seems to be no logic or predictability to the constantly late busses.. which ultimately caused us to waste a tonne of valuable vacation time. Toward the end of our trip, we were calling ubers everywhere instead.

I cannot recommend this agency. We booked a tour of the vienna state opera but missed the tour because the discription of the meeting point was misleading. it referred to the fountain next to the opera without mentioning that there are two fountains on opposite sides of the building. There are even entrances on both side of the buliding next to the fountains that bear signs „meeting point of guided tour“. After notifying of this issue still a refund was denied and also no alternative tour time was offered. Our tour was supposed to start at 3:15 pm and their offices closes at 3 pm already. During online booking you have to give your telephone number but they don’t use it to call you in such situations - it seems to be only to exploit customer data a bit more. Not at all customer friendly. Will never book again at this agency.

The bus was pretty full even during November, so many people didn’t have a seat and had to stand for most of the trip. Finding a seat upstairs so that we could actually see anything was really hard too. You might as well buy the day ticket for the public transport and travel around on your own.

  • 1/5 Jelaina J. 1 year ago on Google
This entire set up was confusing and the buses don't run very late, so you either have to A. Plan your trip accordingly and go early, or B. The buses also don't run non-stop, as in, every 10 minutes or so. No. There is one pick up per hour per stop. So you have a limited timeframe to ride, and don't bother trying to get the last tour of the night somewhere and rely on the bus to get you back to a central point because the bus will have already stopped running for the night. Best to not to make many additional stops or switches or you may be stranded. Additionally, we redeemed our voucher at the Opera House but didn't use the bus service, thinking we could walk to a market then pick up the bus there. But it wasn't time effective to wait for the bus at the market because we would have missed the other bus at the opera house to take us to our next stop, so we never actually rode the bus. HOWEVER, because we redeemed the voucher for an actual ticket to be able to get on the bus, the company wouldn't refund us our money.

We booked the bus to hear about that sights from the tour and half of the languages did not function, so my partner whose only languages are Spanish and English couldn't understand anything. When the (also Spanish) passengers in front of us tried to tell one of the people working there that the languages were not working, they just said "you should have told the bus driver before we left, now it is too late". Bus driver was driving very fast so anyway we would not have had enough time to see the sights. The windows were fogged up as well so we could not see anything outside. Overall, very very bad experience. We got off after 3 stops and did our own tour by foot so as not to waste any more of our time. Wish we could get those 50€ back 😔

Extremely disappointing "Day Trip to Salzburg". We were aware of the duration of the tour and the time to spend on the bus. What we did not expect was an absolute lack of historical or cultural content during the trip. The mentions about the film "The Sound of Music" were continuous, it was not necessary that half of the comments were based on the film, we did not book a film tour. The stop in Salzburg is reduced exclusively to 3 hours and the walking tour there was poor and did't provide any interesting information. Paying EUR 129 per person for such a poor tour has been a robbery.

  • 5/5 Sandra P. 1 year ago on Google
We had the 6day pass and we did visit a lot of tourist attractions. Also a lot we would normally don't do. But before you buy think about the visits you like to do and how they add up in price. We didn't get much above the costs of the pass. Hop on hop off bus was great but doesn't go often so easily to miss and have taken the metro instead of waiting another hour (or 2 because they took a break at lunch time when we where there.)

  • 1/5 Hiren M. 1 year ago on Google
Did their guided tour in Feb to Wachau. Which said about wine tasting. But nothing of that was done. But a museum visit was there in the guided tour in Mahl for 1 hr. Also, lunch was provided but did not clear say about drinks while was later billed by the restaurant. This should have been clearly said that drinks are not included. My suggestion, avoid if you are expecting wine testing… if itinerary did mention it but nothing like that happens.

so far using your company service was the only negative experience we had on a 5 days trip in Vienna. I am deeply disappointed by this horrible behavior of your employees. You take our money and you don’t care what happens to us while we are trusting you to give us good service - and depend on you for those hours of the day. I want to make sure that people are aware of your inferior customer service. First, we were sold 3 tickets for 14 hours ride at 11am - and nobody told us, neither the sales clerk nor the driver, who dropped us off at the Hundertwasser Village stop, that there will be a 3 hours break in bus service immediately after that because of a marathon. We spent 30 minutes at the stop waiting for a bus - and then found a sign tied behind, where nobody could see it, announcing that. We had to take a taxi to get out of there. We caught another bus just before 5pm. We were about to complete our full ride after a tiring day, as we were unceremoniously kicked out by your sales clerk because a night time service began - when we had only two stops until our hotel. The clerk raised his voice at us (three women, including an elderly one) and told us it was “our fault” that we lost 3 hours of our day on your service. It’s not clear how it was our fault, but he continued to yell at us in front of other people and we left - my mother does not need this kind of humiliation and treatment. She is 75. Subjecting her to public humiliation is not our idea of fun.

Windows on buses filthy so taking photos impossible. It would also be helpful to tell passengers what number bus stop was coming up rather than just the place of interest. Roof also filthy so can't take photos through there either. Windows opened twice on a whole tour and closed without warning! Reminders on the commentary to keep the buses clean......they need to BE clean in order to KEEP them clean!
