This is a real gem! A bit hidden and not easy to find. Clearly the best coffee/cappuccino in town - no kidding. Fresh roast, fresh brew; all things organic, even the wine. Must try organic Prosecco based on Chardonnay grapes - awesome. The pear tart was not from this world - melts in your mouth.s. Photo Oh, and then there was this incredible cold brew! What a coffee! What a foam! To die for… Ever tried Avocado cake? Unbelievable! Al fresco dining, amazing to find a quiet corner in the bustling city center. Rumor has it that they plan to open a new restaurant cafe winebar near St. Stephen‘s place. Looking forward to the opening. It is so good, don‘t tell anyone ;-)

Beautiful and pleasent place for drinking coffee if you want to relax from monuments like us. We very precciate bio products and nice service. We tasted some cinemmon bun and brownie with iced cappucino and we were satisfied a lot. ❤️

What a cosy spot! The decor is a charming mix of rustic and modern — without clashing. The coffee was great, and there was no problem getting a milk alternative. The dessert was incredibly light — a delightful treat to pair with my cappuccino.

The best cafe visited in Vienna. We ordered carrot cake, cappuccino and v60 press coffee. The barista is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about his cup of Joe. He taught us a lot of what goes into the cup of coffee, such as temperature, the time and the types of beans. The enthusiasm in his eyes is unseen in many of the baristas I have met. I strongly recommend visiting the cafe while you are in Vienna if you are interested in coffee. The decor is clean and lovely. While the cafe lacks the grandeur decoration of other older cafes, the barista service and attitude more than make up for it. We also saw many individuals working on their laptops and WiFi was good while we were there. Digital nomads can consider coming here if you need to work in a good environment.

Wonderful café in Wien with proper speciality coffee. They had 3 different coffee beans on the grinders for you to choose from. The cakes and pastries accompany and complement everything. Highly recommended! ☕

Very friendly staff, everything organic and great coffee that would please any Australian. Given we all know that Aussies are coffee mad, a great place to get a good cap! It's also off the main Street, so nice and quiet.

Recommended spot to work, study, meet, chill, read or relax… We visited during our city stroll through Vienna for a coffee break, and we plan to come here also for some home office sessions. Wifi is fast. The taste & quality of coffee is great, cool but cozy atmosphere accentuated by a clean, modern and slightly industrial interior & friendly staff.

Kaffein is one of my favourite cafes in Vienna. It is located in the center yet away from all the noise. There is a lot of space to sit inside. The staff is really friendly & nice. Most of them speak English too (in case that’s a dealbreaker for you). The prices are reasonable & the coffees are really good. They do have vegan cakes sometimes. They do allow laptops & they also have a decent WiFi. Highly recommended.

Quaint and quiet. A lovely find in the 1st district. Such a different vibe inside, between cozy, rustic and industrial. We both and hot chocolates a day they were delish 😋 although a bit expensive at 4.80, but understandable being in the city center. The waiter was super friendly and attentive too. Would return anyday.

This hidden gem is one of the best coffees you can find in Vienna. Is a small and quiet place very cosy and with friendly staff. The coffee is high quality and taste. You have few dishes and cakes to enjoy more your time here.

Absolutely fantastic coffeeshop. The coffee was great and so was the blueberry caramel cheesecake I got. The cheesecake was not too heavy or sweet and paired really well with the coffee. Service was a bit slow as they appeared to be understaffed. I will say, though, that the barista was super apologetic, which I appreciated. I sat inside, but I understand there is also outdoor seating.

We had a wonderful stop at this beautiful cafe. Great coffee, omelette and pastry fresh from the oven, served by a well dressed gentleman. We have a hunch that this is a family owned business because the staff seem to do everything with love for the craft. On top, the caffe welcomes your four legged friends. Recommended !

If you care for the best espresso in town, 100% organic & home made pies and lunch menues, a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and a glass of Austrian frizzante or wine, this is the place to go. I cannot recommend enough! A real treasure in the heart of Vienna!

Nice coffee place, the coffee is really good and the service is lovely. I was a bit disappointed with the baked goods I had, it looks better than it tastes. It's a small place, not many seats. Still a good coffee in the city center. Recommend for a short stop, but not more.

I found this coffee shop on a website called “laptopfriendly” as I regularly come to Vienna and work from this city and Im always looking for places where to work from. I got here right after lunch, few minutes before 2 PM, I saw the sign on their entrance saying that during lunch hours laptop spaces were limited to give space for people to enjoy their lunch, which makes sense, and that period of time was between 12 and 2pm. So I asked the barista if it was OK for me to use one of the spaces, and he took a deep breath like if I was asking something to annoyed him, and the answer was “how long are you staying?”… the place was almost empty, there was one person (customer) and that was it. When I said I was planning to stay for a couple of hours his answer again was “ you can only use that space at the window”. I ordered a coffee and gave it a try, but there was not even a tiny table to put the coffee cup, so I finished the coffee and left. Coffee was Ok, but maybe the barista was not having a good day, there are other places where the service was a lot friendlier. Its a shame because I had good expectations about this place, based on the reviews.

Stopped for an afternoon snack and coffee. Besides different variety of cakes, they had spinach palatschinke (crepe-like pancake with spinach and salsa) which was beautifully presented and tasted excellent. Filter coffee was flavorful but was lighter than tea and seemed weak. Double espresso was €4.40. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff helpful, but note that magazines on the counter are not for browsing, even if they look like they are, if you take any, they will be added to your bill. There is no sign they are for sale, but helpful staff makes sure you’re aware if that.

Coffee and Matcha Latte were delicious. But if you want to have breakfast or eat something more than a cake, I will not recommend this place. We were on Sunday there and already at 13 o’clock they don’t have any croissants( which are part of 2-3 dishes) or baked goods. Prices are higher than in other locations and the portions are pretty small. I received instead of croissant with egg inside, a tost for the same price. Plus it was not so warm inside.

Our favorite cafe in all of Vienna! Came two days in a row we loved it so much. First day took the comfy cushioned window seat and worked on our laptops while enjoying chai lattes and pastries. Then on the second day worked from the lovely covered outdoor space, enjoying the fantastic breakfast omelettes and coffee. Staff were welcoming and friendly - even offering to store our suitcases while we walked around for the afternoon. Will definitely make it a return spot on our next visit to Vienna!

Exceptional!!! We loved it. We stopped here for breakfast and we were overwhelmed with the quality of food & service. Strongly recommended. Fresh croisants were great, not too sweet. I loved their coffee bean selection and the eggs that my kids had were gone in minutes. I had no time for pics lol.

Great coffee which should be the hero. The atmosphere is good if you DON'T want to do work. A bit of an echo due to the hall effect. Limited seating for the space they have (good to avoid extra noise). WiFi just doesn't work, sad as I needed to check some stuff on my lappy. Won't come back, but that's only because there are better setups with just as good or better coffee.

(Translated by Google) Before the official opening, I visited the café on recommendation - it was the first address I visited during my last vacation in Vienna. What can I say. The café is a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle of Vienna, but is still super central and easy to reach. The interior is comfortably modern and the equipment and the coffee machine are real eye-catchers. Both the owner and his colleague Lukas are very courteous, polite and understand their craft. The quality of the coffee is excellent and the preparation is excellent. My coffee tasted sooo good that I just took one to go. As far as I can tell, the price was perfectly reasonable for Viennese standards. From my side 5 * stars. Very nice shop, friendly and experienced staff and natural great coffee. So it has to be - keep it up !!! Wish you a good start :) (Original) Bereits vor der offiziellen Eröffnung habe ich das Café auf Empfehlung besucht - es war die erste Adresse die ich in meinem letzten Wien Urlaub besucht habe. Was soll ich sagen.

(Translated by Google) You are always politely and nicely advised and serve the best coffee. There is always the best tap water in Vienna. It's just as you would imagine a cozy coffee and now has a shady courtyard since the move It would still be good if you could pay with a card and maybe there would be even more choices of non-alcoholic drinks (e.g. a good iced tea?)

It's still an insider tip, but Kaffein is predestined to be a favourite among coffee and style lovers. Coffee is organic, prepared with expertise and love to the details. Located in a 17th century building, the former first girl's school in town, it has a stylish renovated interior, modern with historical details and a charming pateo. Although so central, it is tucked away in a peaceful corner between Wipplingerstraße and the Maria am Gestade Church. The ideal place for a perfect, calm coffee break.

The place to go for a good coffee. The decor is pretty nice, the edgy modern type with up cycled materials. The staff were very kind and helpful. I even ordered the wrong coffee because I forgot to specify soya milk, and they were happy to make another for me at no charge. The coffee of course is excellent. They also had single origin roasts available.
