We had brunch here and most of the food were pretty good. The sausage had a crunchy surface and the meat was juicy with aroma of different spices; the egg Benedict was smooth and creamy. Unfortunately the sesame apricot cake we had was dry and smelt like the flour got dampness from humidity. The environment was super cozy, if you enjoy antique style, you should definitely come here.

Very interesting concept of unlimited drinks (non alcoholic) based on the package chosen. The homemade lemonade and hot chocolate was superb. The almond cake was just incredibly good. A cute place built like granny built it. Loved our time here

5 stars for the concept and level of service! We actually stumbled upon Vollpension because the place next door was full (smaller place) and Vollpension was able to seat us faster (no reservation on a Sunday). Lucky us! Their concept is a fun one, where you pick an option from their menu wheel and each option has food associated to it, and a time slot during which you get free refills for any drinks (coffee, lemonade, water, etc). Some are optional upgrades, like orange juice. I went with the big breakfast with eggs Benedict upgrade (for 5 extra euros). The eggs were quite tasty, but unfortunately one of the bread rolls from our basket was cold. They were very apologetic and offered to make us a fresh one, but we got too full before they were done 😂 not a big deal. They also have grandma coins, which you get from servers and use to pick up cake slices baked by the local grandmas. The cakes looked very good but I didn’t try any. Service was good (lots of staff), and they are more than happy to speak English if you cannot speak German. Pretty good experience!

Such a cute concept. Everybody is super friendly. The granny care packages are a great deal with unlimited hot/cold beverages. The cakes are good and unusual. You can tell they are old style recipes. It feels good to eat somewhere that cares about a positive cause.

Very cute little cafe that was full of people however we didn’t have to wait long to be seated. Really enjoyed the decor, and the concept of the cafe with free refills depending in your food items was really nice. Food was great, as was the coffee and the traditional yeast cake dessert with vanilla sauce. Delicious!

Delightful breakfast Recommended by our host airbnb and we were very thankful. A full breakfast and delicious homemade cakes gave us an energetic day to discover Vienna. They seem to be quite busy, we arrived around 9.30am so we got a table quickly but after a while there were people waiting to be seated. Reasonable price, highly recommend! Visited in November 2018

This Cafe is run by grandpa and grandma. The breakfast was sumptuous and free flow of coffee and tea for 60 or 90 minutes of your choice. The ambiance of this cafe was amazing.

I'd recommend this cafe if you are looking for something fun and different to do. The decor is very quirky, and there was a good selection of cakes. Be aware that you have a set amount of time at your table. You might also be sat with other people, but I think this adds to the charm. The waiter kept checking my table to make sure I wasn't running over my time, and the waitress was sure to remind me that a tip was not included in the bill. Other people might have found this rude, but I didn't mind and I thought it was quite funny; it's something that my own grandparents would do. Overall, quite a charming cafe.

Super super cute place. Despite Austria priding itself on its unfriendliness it’s actually quite nice/not rude despite cafe culture sometimes being that. I really enjoyed my 60-min seating with unlimited drinks (hot/cold) and the cake. Will definitely recommend this to my friends and possibly come back for another meal before I leave. Many people say they don’t take card but they do now!

A place with a very interesting concept, where the length of your stay in the establishment depends on the category chosen from the menu. The majority of the staff here are elderly individuals, and the plates, cups, and utensils resemble those from a grandmother's house. Thanks to all of this, you can truly feel like you're at your grandma's place. Additionally, within the chosen menu category, you can order an unlimited amount of coffee, tea, lemonade, iced tea, or hot chocolate. The food itself is very delicious, and I highly recommend coming here for breakfast. The service is very pleasant and attentive. They also speak English, and card payment is possible, which is unfortunately not very common in this area. You definitely won't leave this place hungry ☺️

Absolutely love the idea of these cafes. Cakes are baked on site by pensioners who create old traditional recipes and mix with the customers. Good selection of cakes and all home made. You do need to go earlier in the day to get the full experience and selection though as there might not be much left come the evening.

This is a cutest place I ever been to! I felt like I am at my grandmas house, fresh lemonade on the table and homemade cakes! Coffee is great too! Must visit!

The concept of paying for time instead of for products was a little more confusing than planned, since we ordered different things that took different amounts of time, and we also got menus that only showed the time packages instead of the products. However, the café is super lovely! Interior design is really, really cute, the coffee and cake were great and the staff was amazing. I can definitely recommend this place!

Really nice place with a great concept. The food is quite good, the breakfast had a decent portion. Another cheese instead of emmenthal would be better, but that’s just a personal preference. The beverages by time is a super nice idea. The coffee is delicious and the homemade lemonade is just so delicious that my husband drink three jars alone! Totally recommend the experience!!

Extremely cute and wonderful place! Interesting all you can eat/drink time based pricing model. Which can run into some cost if just zipping coffee and working on your laptop. So this is surely not a Starbucks 🤣 But I'm definitely going to visit again and stuff myself with their delicious pastries and cakes!

You‘d like it if you are looking for an intimate, classy environment and a different breakfast experience (small- medium or big breakfast portion sizes) in a café with home made cakes and amusing decorations. I didn’t like it that as a solo visitor I was seated at the big table alongside others! The rest was a nice experience.

What an amazing place. We thought this might be a place that is just a trend and maybe not worth it but we decided to give it a go and we were blown away. We weren't aware of the concept of the cafe and what a great cause and story it has behind it. The drinks were great and the cakes even better! The service was also very good and it had an amazing atmosphere. Highly recommend this place and also to book ahead of time as it can get quite busy.

Wow! This cafe is amazing, the concept is really kind and the food was delicious - we had the apple strudel and the plum yeast buns. The unlimited drinks were great and I liked that there was a time limit as it meant everyone was able to get a table. A must visit in Vienna!

You must purchase a package, each with their own inclusions and time allotment. Even if you just want a coffee, you must pay €6.90 no matter what you order. The upside to this is that if you choose to dine in, you can enjoy unlimited beverages for this rate for 30 minutes, which is a good deal. The coffee was yummy and the service was very friendly. The atmosphere is great and decor is beautiful.

Wonderful place, fully recommended!! Coincidentally entered this cafe and enjoyed every moment. The cake was delicious and the LOVELIEST girl Aphrodite was the kindest person I have seen who recommended me the granny’s cake! 🫶🏽

Came here for my birthday on Sunday and cannot recommend it enough. The premise of this cafe is brilliant and it's so lovely to interact with people of all different age groups and the staff really take pride in their service and quality of food. Speaking of food it was absolutely delicious and timed packages are a great idea to allow everyone a chance for a spot. Highly recommend and I'll remember this place for a long time.

Very nice and well organized service!!! People were all super kind especially the old people! They were so adorable! The design inside out were both nice and interesting! The food was good and the price wasn’t too high! The cakes are all just came out from the oven! And they all looked amazing! I recommend the cheesecake which was 7/10 for me!

The concept is really interesting, the decorations reminds you of your grandparents house and the service is so nice. I loved it! I will definitely go back. And all the drinks and food was really good.

What a wonderful concept of bringing generations together around cake and coffee. It's incredibly cute inside and the hot chocolate is to die for, not your most famous cafe but it is 100% worth the stop.

Wonderful place full of warmth and love! Amazing cakes baked by the lovely grandmas and such a nice atmosphere there. I don't like the menu package options and the amount of hipsters that are there these days but it is still one of the nicest places in Vienna for coffee and cake!

  • 5/5 Mariliza K. 2 years ago on Google
It is a very cosy place in Vienna with amazing atmosphere! Something different from the touristic ones! Everyday they have some different kinds of desserts which are really really nice!

  • 4/5 A D. 2 years ago on Google
Four stars for the atmosphere! With its classic and old fashioned design, this cafe sells Time rather than food and drinks. Their menu consists of 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes items, and with each item you get unlimited coffee/tea, and a slice of cake (depending on your choice). The coffee is alright, the cake is below average, but the interior is what caughty eyes!

  • 5/5 謝嫻 2 years ago on Google

Very original breakfast and café concept with great attention to detail. Highly recommended. In the full board you can enjoy breakfast until 14:00 and cake all day freshly prepared on site by grandmas and grandpas. With the help of the menu card you can choose between different offers: small breakfast (60min), large breakfast (90min) or cake hour (60min) each with a hot and cold drinks flat rate. Each additional 30min costs 3,90€. The ambience of the café, the concept and the quality of the drinks and food are convincing. Definitely worth a visit.

No better place to have a coffee in Vienna. It's run by retired "grandmas" and it's a place with tons of charm and love. Decorated with style, it's very cosy and comfortable. The coffee is great and the cakes even more. They have an incredible array of options, and the portions are extremely generous.

  • 5/5 Niklas C. 2 years ago on Google
Popular café run by the sweetest of old ladies. Worth to stop by just for a coffee and to enjoy the atmosphere. Only tried the breakfast but it delivered. Simple yet well prepared. It is not fine dining but that is not why you come here. Can be busy in the weekends so prepare to wait in line for a table. But worth the wait.

I loved this place. We arrived not much before closing but they were very nice and served us. The place has a great athmosphere, the prices are average, the beer was fine. We sat outside and the best thing has happened. Two cats came out from one of the windows above the bar. They were the cutest. I recommend this place if you're looking for a place to have a drink.

Lovely place! The concept by itself (supporting the elderly) is a huge motivation to go. I didn’t try their cakes, but the soup (it changes every day, mine was mushroom) with bread was divine.

  • 4/5 Chao-Yang F. 1 year ago on Google
The staffs are friendly and everything can be done in English. Though the price is a little higher but the breakfast is really delicious. The space is narrow but there are a lot of people coming, so it let me feel a bit uncomfortable.

‏A very pleasant cafe, reminiscent of grandma's house. The place is managed by an elderly and smiling population. They are very nice. The tea they make is special. Everything we tried was delicious. I recommend it.

Visiting this place is a great experience. I arrived at 8am for breakfast before visiting Naschmarkt There are a selection of "packages" you can go for, all come with unlimited drinks for 60/90 minutes. For the cake package, you get an OMA coin which you exchange at the cake counter. I had a cheesecake with chocolate topping, a flat white coffee and homemade lemonade.. Later on, an "oma" came and gave little tasting samples of their lemon cake 🩷 Waitress was very attentive. Another diner was finishing up and she asked if he wanted a coffee to go (unlimited drinks) Service was warm and friendly. The staff seemed very happy to be there, smiling and dancing a little. Highly recommended, just for the charming service and cute interiors. They really do go above the usual level of service! 🫰🏻

I will give it a 10/10. The owners / waitress are so nice. The most important thing is the food also really tasty! I spent a morning at here and enjoy the meals and atmosphere. I’m highly recommended, if you travel Austria please give it a try!

A fun, lightfooted potpourri of kitschy deco stuff. Utterly and lovingly mismatched furniture. Yes, you feel at home and you relax immediately. The time slots for each booking are generous enough, and the signature feature - common in North America but not in Europe - are the bottomless beverages. Now, lo and behold: you can have any amount of coffee, albeit not just the weak see-through-stuff preferred by our neighbours to the North, but the real thing - cappuccino, espresso, cafe latte etc. Your choice of different milk substitutes and decaf is available at no extra fee. It wasn't a problem to get honey rather than jam, and there are also vegetarian and yummy vegan options on the menu. Come and enjoy!

Love the idea of this cafe! The interior and tableware made it feel like we were at grandma’s house. Good food, cozy atmosphere, welcoming and friendly staff. We went on a Sunday afternoon when it was very busy. Would recommend checking their website and making a reservation beforehand.

  • 5/5 Xanto H. 5 months ago on Google
It's a cozy spot for coffee and sweets. We didnt try the breakfast menu, but the sweets and coffee didn't disappoint. We love the bun filled with jam plus vanilla sauce. (Make sure to get 2pcs). The cheesecake was good too (as good as NY cheesecake, a good homesick remedy). The coffee was as good as we could get in town. The cafe was very homey and staffs were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended if you are in Vienna. Con: price is high and the cafe can be very busy during lunch hours. Cheers

Good place to go for breakfast. They have a lot of options on the menu. The staff were also very kind and continuously had a smile on their faces. We only went for breakfast and coffee but the cakes looked really good as well and are baked fresh on site.

A little gem, worthy a visit when in Vienna. The staff were so friendly and eager to explain the menu. Must try the pies, they are so scrumptious and come in big slices.

  • 5/5 Sigrid H. 5 months ago on Google
It was such an experience! I really loved the atmosphere, food, and the fact that Omas are the only ones working there. If the store wasn’t so busy (since it’s a touristic place), it would be such a cozy place! I had toast with ham and soft boiled egg, and it tasted really good. My boyfriend’s big breakfast with ham and cheese was big enough for him to get really full haha. Mugs were also super cute adding to the coziness of the place💕☕️🌷Oh and service was really nice and fast!

Such a nice place to have a coffee and a small desert! As a 'Friends' fan this is such a fun place because it reminds of the coffee house in the show! The food is homemade and tastes amazing, the drinks are also really nice. The waiters are all really social and nice, one of them even told us a story about the coffee house. Personally recommend this place, 100%

Very cute and comfortable place for a breakfast to start the day. The idea of unlimited drinks was interesting and we get to try out different types of teas and coffees (came with 4 people). Cake was too sugary tho, and bread was ok. Very nice atmosphere and choice of decorations.

(Translated by Google) The breakfast was delicious in itself, but due to their concept (for 10 euros you can sit for 1 hour and for 5 euros for 30 minutes) you couldn't really enjoy breakfast. The 10 euros include selected drinks - but if you want something different to breakfast than a piece of cake, you have to pay extra. That makes it relatively expensive.

Yes yes yes.... This is the coolest place for breakfast I have ever had. We skipped our breakfast in hotel and traveled here. It worth it. Nice atmosphere. Tasty breakfast. And at the end you can choose a piece of home made cake. Like your grandma did, provided she was Austrian one. The only advice - book this place in advance as every morning it is full. And do not be afraid if you will share the table with some other people. These is how the most interesting conversations start.

Such a great concept, so cosy, the mixture between grannies, granddaddies and young people serving makes you really feel home. The self made cakes and lemonades complete the scenery. Be aware on Saturdays, Sundays and Holly days lunch is served from 2 p.m.!

The worst service I've ever experienced in a restaurant! First of all we had to wait over 30min until someone would bring us a menu and was ready to take our orders (the restaurant wasn't even half full) and then they wanted to force us into paying 5€ (half an hour) or 10€(1 hour) so we could stay at the table!! But!! Have to leave immediately afterwards! Never go there, they only rip you off and don't serve you at all !

I am sorry I don’t know how is even possible that this have 4.7 stars in reviews. This is the worst coffee bar in Vienna. We waited to be seated around 30 min, been ignored 3 times in the front of the waiter. Once we got table, we waited another 30 mins to get out of the table because waiter ordered 2 tablets that came after us. Worst service that we ever experienced. Even the one star is too much for this garbage.

Horrendous service, we waited for one hour for a simple breakfast menu. The waiters served it to wrong customers and didn’t apologize to us or offer any compensation. On top of that, we were charged for 90 min price instead of 60 min price due their late service. I will never go again and don’t recommend anyone to go on busy hours. Most importantly, the food was bland.

Very nice service, the senior was comforting he told us about the card and how to order right away, and showed us to a place we can sit. Although the place inside it's not wheelchair accessible, they also had tables outside. The place had a old-timer touch. We had an Housemade ice-tea it was just perfectly made. Will recommend at any time.

The coffee is good, that’s my one star. The pay to seat system is a con. Everything is an “add on” and the prices are not clear. Cakes are not on the menu, you have to go inside to check them. The waiters are kind, but they’re not really interested in your experience. They made clear that clock was ticking and it was on our side to try to get something out of it.
