Alright, this place would deserve alteast 10* but cant go higher. Its hidden gem close to Naschmarket. Japanese oasis of peaceful and delightful moments above their matcha drinks, japanese deserts, sweets and candies. Honestly I never thought matcha can taste so good. Matcha float (with ice cream) was a blast and we are definitely coming back tomorrow to try more before we leave. Mochi were perfect and I will really miss those. Prices are very nice and the japanese staff(owners I guess) is just incredibly polite, kind and humble! Only downside is really tiny space for sitting because there is usually big row of people waiting to get their order. Sometimes it might be hard to sit down. Anyways this is a must place to visit. It really feels like piece of Japan in the middle of Vienna. You wont regret!

When I was growing up I used to come to Vienna for pretty much every summer vacation, and I have extremely fond memories of drinking matcha floats with my friend in the sun. Life and circumstances being what they are I didn't get the chance to come back to Austria for about six years, until this week. One of the first things we did was to get Matcha Floats and Onigiri at Cha No Ma, and they are just as good as I remember. Beautiful little tea shop full of delicious things. The Onigiri come in a variety of interesting flavours - I highly recommend just tasting your way through.

Had the Chestnut Matcha Latte and it was very good! They also have a lot of different Matcha drinks. Unfortunatly their toilet was broken, and there are not a lot of seats..

Service in this place was excellent, a friendly staff. I personally enjoyed the tea I had. It was a shame though, that all of the savoury snacks, some of the tea and three out of four kinds of ice-cream were sold out. And there are only 5 chairs you can sit on, which is unfortunate. They're selling packaged tea as well. Overall I would still recommend, if you want a good tea.

As far as I know they serve the best matcha in Vienna. For hot summer days I can recommend the matcha float (matcha latte with ice cubes and a scoop of matcha ice cream). They also sell matcha powder and tea pots as well as japanese snacks.

was craving matcha on my europe trip and decided to check out cha no ma due to the reviews raving about the high quality matcha. they are most known for their drinks, but i noticed they sold ice cream on its own too. i got a scoop of matcha ice cream (2.80) and a scoopy of black sesame ice cream (2.50) the scoops were average size, maybe a bit on the smaller size. service was friendly and the store is cute with matcha accessories for sale. the black sesame ice cream was really good -- it had that nutty flavor and came with sesame seeds sprinkled on top. maybe a bit too sweet, but still good. the matcha ice cream was disappointing though. maybe the matcha gelato (that was sold out) was the vibrant green ice cream that is in the other pictures for matcha floats, but my matcha ice cream was more milky and tasted more like green tea than matcha (if you can tell the difference like me). overall, the flavor was weaker than i'd have liked.
