This exceptional restaurant nestled inside the stunning Ritz hotel truly wowed us. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff who even brought me a cozy blanket when they noticed I was chilly. Every dish we tried was superb, and the cocktails were delightful. The only downside was the significantly high prices.

Food was exquisite, very thoughtful in preparation and delicious. Service was very attentive. Apertivo drinks were also very well done.

Enjoyed the evening and the food. “Greetings from the kitchen” were special (eg olive with roasted nut) and main dishes yummy. However, the pulpo did not taste fresh at all (almost to complain). Overall, the restaurant deserves 4 starts (also considering the high price of 30-35€ per plate).

Amazing Sicilian restaurant with awesome service and cocktails! We loved the food, from the starters till the dessert! Price is pretty good too, specially if you keep in mind that the place belong to The Ritz Carlton! The service as I said was amazing, they can give you some recommendations if you don’t know what to choose. Menu is really compact! We definitely gonna come back!

Food was extraordinary delicious, tbh every dish was excellent. We ordered a „culinary journey to Sicily“ which allowed us to try many different dishes. Staff was very friendly and attentive!

    • Last Visit • Sunday, October 2023 • Cost • ~€90 per pax • RSVP • Yes • Details • Serving contemporary Sicilian cuisine at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Wide range of wine selection. Both a la carte menu and tasting menu are available. We chose the 6-course tasting menu which included 2 antipasti, 2 pasta, 1 main & 1 dessert. It also came along with amuse bouche, bread basket and truffle ice cream to clean your palate (or just to indulge <3). Items might change depending on seasonal ingredients or you may also remark your personal preference. • Feedback • We had a wonderful time here and glad that we did visit this restaurant on the last evening of the trip. Dishes were no doubt delicious and creative. My favourite dish are the Pasta Con Le Sarde and the Tuna Belly (Toro!). Ladies & gentlemen serving the table are incredibly friendly and attentive. Dimitry, the sommelier, checked the day’s ingredients and recommended us some excellent wine to pair with the menu. Stefania, who served our table, is helpful and welcoming! Price is reasonable and worth the value given this cosy environment and excellent service.

The place itself was nice, but the menu had no variation at all. There were only 2 pastas, both with tomato sauce.

Highly recommend to try octopus, it was 1000/10 but I wasn’t impressed by pasta with sea food. Atmosphere was perfect!

Pastamara shares a space with the bar, giving it a cool cosmopolitan feel whilst retaining its elevated atmosphere. We decided to forego starters and mains and instead shared three pastas; the pomodori, the gnocci funghi and vongole- a special. All were really nice. The best thing about pastamara, however, was our excellent waiter Samuel who was attentive, kind and funny. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

(Visit 13.5. 19:30) Outstanding food & drinks, top-notch service staff, amazing calm & cozy atmosphere. Definitely something for special occasions (at least for me) but no arrogant or elitist vibes at all. My only "negative" feedback is that one of the hosts did not get our name right after repeating it 3-4 times which was a bit awkward. (Italian name). Apart from that would 10/10 recommend!

Lovely place, excellent service & great food. Loved the Tuna belly the most, foccacia bread & the tomato salad.

A little bit of a scam. The overall presentation is pretty good, but they can't really cook. The steak is tiny and tasteless, sides were too oily and the seafood pasta is a joke. I am 100% sure most amateur cooks will surpass this level. I can't just pay for good ambiente.

It's a nice location, stylish, not too crowded and not too many people. Food is okay, but overpriced for quality and quantity. The cocktails are same, okay but not more. Service is not really attentive. Overall, it could be better for such a hotel...

This was our umpteenth visit, but we have never been so disappointed. Spontaneously came with 10 people around 21:30, asked for a table. Answer: we no longer give these seats, because we uncover for breakfast. This after we tried for about 10 minutes to be able to ask someone at all. 7 people also wanted food. With the first ordered round we were also told, 'if you still want something, you must order now, because we lock then'. Cocktails in the 4 - 5 cl range, 80% ice! However, we were told, as were countless other guests, that we could find a seat in the second bar. Dressed in coats, which never had the chance to find space at a coat rack, we were asked if we wanted to write the drinks to the room. Very sad, but we will not return at least in 2023, and unfortunately can no longer recommend the bar.

Probably very good, but very unprofessional booking service: stopped at 10 am to book; was supposed to be confirmed at 12:00; received call at 4:30 pm ´fully booked, sorry’…

Had dinner there. Uneven quality, where most dishes were well below average. Price on the other hand is well above average.

I often go out in Vienna, I enjoy different type of venues. Ritz Carlton been always a highlighter of an appetitive or a digestive place as well as an outlet for an afternoon tea time with their legendary cheesecake. But what is outmost important is the software care: I recently met a new team member in Pastamare - her name is Susanna and now I feel their truly care like being at home. She genuinely delivers a service professional with true empathy and love

poor seating, inexperienced staff, food ok but little choice, too much hype about an ok but just ok experience

Great evening, great variety of food, and great service with a smile.. only issue is that you feel you are sitting in a hotel lobby and not a real restaurant. Half of the lobby is the hotel bar, and the other half is the "restaurant". So it was not very intimate atmosphere for going out with your partner, especially when hotel guests kept walking through back and forth next to our table. But I would of course still go back for the food and service for sure, with managing my atmosphere expectations next time.

I live in Vienna and have been to Pastamara several times. The service is top-notch each and every time. The wait staff go above and beyond in their professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge of the wine and food. I am gluten free and when I ask about gluten free items on the menu, they automatically bring gluten free bread, and nothing is too much trouble to accommodate my special needs. The food is excellent and the wine list extensive. They are always willing to let us try a sample before ordering a bottle of wine, if possible. I love this restaurant and will keep coming back.
