Wonderful museum. There were many times I stood with my jaw dropped at the beautiful ornate rooms and paintings. Never before have I stood next to such important paintings such as Andy Warhol, Monet, Matisse, Picasso, Cezanne etc. Truly one for art buffs. Even the modern art is beautiful. The section contrasting war from now (the Ukrainian war) to 100 years ago. It really sent shivers down my spine and left me with a tear in my eye. It was approx 30€ for 1 adult and 1 student. A true art gallery makes you feel things. I urge you to visit here.

I love this museum and try to visit each time I visit Vienna, full price is 18,9 and also you can buy audioguide online for 3 Euros, it is a card given at entrance with a scan code, then you visit the museum with your mobile as audioguide after scanning the card. Many famous paintings from Lauren, Renoir, Picasso

The Albertina is a museum in the Innere Stadt of Vienna, Austria. It houses one of the largest and most important print rooms in the world with approximately 65,000 drawings and approximately 1 million old master prints, as well as more modern graphic works, photographs and architectural drawings

Great museum with a fantastic selection of exhibitions. Staff is very polite and helpful. The rooms feel cozy and spacious at the same time. Not many people in there either. The giftshop also has a wide selection of items. Goya, Durer, Miró, Picasso,...Overall a fabulous experience, highly recommending. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It houses drawings and old master prints, as well as more modern graphic works and photographs. You can also visit the State Rooms housed there, as for around 100 years, the present-day museum building served as the residence of Habsburg archdukes and archduchesses. If you are an art lover you should definitely visit it.

Beautiful museum, even for those without much of a background in art but a small interest. If you are not so familiar with the different styles I’d definitely consider getting the audio guide to go along with the exhibitions, about €3 or so. Audio guide runs from a browser on your phone, so make sure it is charged head in a bit earlier than you expect and you can easily lose track of time

A museum full of history and above all with updated and interesting exhibitions. I really liked the distinction between the exhibitions but also the chance to admire so many emerging artists or rediscover the old ones. I recommend a visit to anyone 🙌🙌

Just another Vienna's architecture that takes your breath away. I suggest you to stick around for half an hour, sit on a bench and observe people and traffic passing by to get a real feeling of the vibe here. P.S. You can take stairs or elevator for people with disabilities.

A good gallery, many different exhibitions in comfortably located halls with thoughtful routes, but you need to choose the right time to visit so as not to get into rush hour. On Mondays, tickets are at half price.

Great museum, exceptional permanent collection, fantastic exhibitions , right now they are housing ‘Modidgiani’, and it’s a fantastic show. I highly recommend to visit it. Even with the kid it was fun. They gave us a kit for kids with crayon and cards with tasks. She was busy sketching masterpieces and gave us enough time to enjoy Art

Albertina is a very nice museum with a great sampling of a great number of the big name artists from the impressionist through the modernists. Many of the artists are represented by a single piece, especially the impressionists, however what they lack in quantity they make up for in quality. There are also plenty of artists represented by multiple pieces of art. They also do a good job showing off different periods of artists careers when possible such as Matisse, Kandinsky and Picasso, just to name a few. The pieces are also very informative with information printed in both German and English.

Extraordinary museum with exquisite taste. The comparison and similarities between the works of Claude Monet and Pablo Picasso was amazing. The art of impressionism and abstraction really caught my eye. The museum was perfectly sectioned and very clean and neat. Being an art enthusiast and art lover, It was a great visit. We visited with the previously bought Vienna Pass.

Wonderful museum with a lot of Picasso's and Monet's. I particularly liked that the museum organized the rooms in a loop. You start with the most famous Monet's and end with the most famous Picasso's. If one is not interested in between you can skip from the first to the last room. The audio guide is helpful for art novices and available on smartphones for 3 euros each. Of course bring your own headphones. The Albertina has a lot more exhibitions but we only had time for one

I didn’t go into the Albertina itself but it is a nice photo spot for the Opera house as it overlooks it. The outside of the building is perfect for taking pictures of the surrounding scenery.

As a quick disclaimer. Be sure to have an euro handy in PRETTY MUCH all museums as if you have a backpack on you will have to use the lockers provided as you cannot go in with one. The Albertina museum in Vienna is a treasure trove of art, and a recent limited-time exhibition featuring the works of Gottfried Helnwein was truly a rare spectacle. Helnwein's pieces, though a temporary exhibition, left a lasting impression. The juxtaposition of his artwork within the grandeur of the Albertina created a visually stunning experience. It was especially thrilling to see the artist in person, adding a personal connection to the morning's surprise encounter with his wax figure at Madame Tussauds. A delightful and thought-provoking visit for art enthusiasts. Being able to see him showcase his work with Priscilla Presley and Richard Lugner. The Albertina museum's allure extends beyond the contemporary, as it houses an impressive array of art from masters like Picasso.

Wonderful museum. No waiting time; you use self-service machines to buy tickets. The whole process is really fast. And it’s free for people under 19 to visit both the old and new Albertina :) The only time I had to wait was when I had to pick up my coat and bag when leaving.

My favourite art gallery in Vienna! If you’re an art lover, come here!! The exhibitions change on a regular basis, and you get a glimpse of such a wide variety of artistic styles and periods. Some notable names from this particular visit were: Monet, Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh.

(Translated by Google) Durer and Bruegel, Impressionists, contemporary paintings and luxurious décor, gold chambers are amazing. Albertina was built as the court office (Hofbauamt) on the city walls of Vienna, Augustiner Bastai, which remained to the end. It was in the latter half of the 17th century. In 1744, it was known as the palace of Marquis Tarouka. The palace later became the residence of Albert Casimir, Duke of Teschen. Duke Alberto later brought a collection of graphics to the palace from Brussels, where he was governor of the Netherlands, Habsburg. The Duke ordered Luis Montoya to expand, and since then the palace is directly connected to the Hofburg Palace. The collection was expanded by the successor of Prince Alberto. The collection was triggered by Duke Alberto and Giacomo Durazzo, Count of Genoa, who was the ambassador to Venice in Austria. In 1776, the Count presented nearly 1,000 works of art to Duke Alberto and his wife Maria Theresia's daughter Maria Christina. Giacomo Durazzo, the brother of Genoese Governor Marcello Durazzo, wanted to "fulfill for posterity a more sublime purpose: a collection that serves the power of education and morality." In the 1820s, the adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert, Archduke Charles, ordered Joseph Kornhauser to make further changes to most of the interior decoration. After Archduke Karl, his son, Duke Albrecht, and his nephew, Duke Friedrich, lived in the palace. In early 1919, ownership of the palace and collection was transferred from the Habsburgs to the new Austrian Republic. In 1920, the collection of prints and drawings was integrated with the collection of the former Imperial Court Library. The name Albertina has been used since 1921.

An interesting museum. A place that you have to visit at least once although I keep going back every time I’m in Vienna. Some classic treasure paintings as well as some contemporary art. A place you must not miss. Easy to access via transportation and a pleasant walk if you are a person that enjoys walking as many more museums are relatively near by.

It is possible to see the wonderful works of famous painters on each floor. In the city center of Albertina, at a point within easy reach, you can see the works of many famous painters. From time to time, famous paintings from other European countries come and are announced. I suggest you go during the week. It is a must-see for history and art lovers, with the world's largest collections. The ticket entry fee for the last day was 15 euros.

It’s a great museum and I recommend to visit it if you have some extra time in Vienna or if you are interested in a specific exhibition. You will definitely find a lot of variety regarding the artists presented so it will definitely suit any interest. If you go during the summer season make sure to take a cardigan or a pullover as it can get quite cold due to the AC. Additionally be prepared to spend around 2.5 - 3 hours there. When buying tickets there was no wait line and the museum was not very crowded either.

Absolutely beautiful gallery, very highly recommended. Their permanent exhibition of Money to Picasso is like a highlight reel of late c19 and early c20. Excellent place. The collection is housed in the kind of beautiful, traditional building typical of Vienna, but with modern twists here and there. You should definitely fit the Albertina into your visit.

enjoyed the second floor exhibition on big name artists! it was a sizable collection but not too crazy. the curation was fine as it breaks down different movements in rooms but sometimes lacks an overview per room. apart from matisse monet picasso miro and schiele, didn’t enjoy the photography exhibition and the 20 year exhibition that much..

They are very picky about the dress code here but if you can make it past the entrance, the world really opens up in a new way to you. I saw originals I would not have expected to see as well as discovered new artists for myself. I am still fascinated by the "Twilight Song" by Franz Sedlacek.

Absolutely one of the best art museums I have ever visited and certainly my favorite experience in Vienna. First off, the offer of a variety of discounts including an under 26 discount is very nice. The museum is MASSIVE. Everytime you think you’re done, there’s more to see. The range in artistic styles is impressive. But perhaps the best thing is the intelligent, detailed, and well explained descriptions by almost every piece of art. The exhibits explain various art styles, going into the history and pioneers before you view the art. And the multitude of varieties of art styles you get to see is astounding. Everyone who likes art should visit this place. And if you’re the type of person who doesn’t like reading at museums, the structure of the exhibits is managed in a way to ensure you can get a lot out of just comparing paintings.

Simply amazing. A must go museum for art lovers and enthusiasts. Every art piece has a informative description and each section introduces the visitor to an art movement with paintings from representative artists. One of the most spectacular museums both in Vienna and Europe. Albertina is the place that conglomerates the most important art masterpieces in the world. It has huge collection of art from of various styles including impressionism. Furthermore it also hosts exhibitions regularly. Albertina is a must-visit place in Vienna. It is located right in the heart of the city - hard to miss. Make sure to allocate 3-4 hours. Definitely worth it!

Building is nice and many remarkable paintings are in there. Worth a visit, especially with the card! Single entry costs 16 euros. The card including 8 museums, albertina belvedere, kunsthistorisches, mak, mumok, naturhistorisches, national bibliothek, tech museum costs 19 euros. I still dont get the general rejection of digital tickets in vienna. I have the reservation, the digital ticket but no, i have to go queue and print it out. Maybe is just to employ more people at the entry i donno...

One of the most popular buildings in Vienna, home to one of the most famous museums wirh rich collections since the mid-19th century. Albertina is a museum in the Innere Stadt (First District). It houses one of the largest and most important print rooms in the world with approximately 65,000 drawings and approximately 1 million old master prints, as well as more modern graphic works, photographs and architectural drawings. Apart from the graphics collection the museum has recently acquired on permanent loan two significant collections of Impressionist and early 20th-century art, some of which will be on permanent display. The museum also houses many temporary exhibitions.

(Translated by Google) When I am asked "my favorite museum", it is too inexplicable a question for me to give an irrefutable answer. However, I have my museum of the heart which does not mean it is the most beautiful in the world (obviously) but for what I felt in seeing it, for the sensations and emotions felt, it is something that comes very close. 😊 The Albertina in Vienna is a massive and unassailable concentrate of modern and contemporary art without equal. It is certainly the deification of the contemporary. The peak of pleasure for those who love the genre. It is impossible to go to Vienna and not go to the Albertina! 😊 Indeed I would classify it as a duty to be fulfilled for us "modern and contemporary art oriented" 😊 ("my leap" lasted a whole day;) and I didn't want to go away anyway! (Translated by Google) A museum worth recommending. But let me start with the minuses - crowds of course, and at the Durer exhibition you can barely move freely. Another disadvantage is the lack of some system of letting people in with already purchased tickets - you have to cram in front of those standing in the queue for tickets, and at the beginning you don't know what the queue is behind. The content itself, or the exhibitions, definitely worth seeing. The collection is very rich and varied, focusing, of course, to a certain extent on native artists. (Original) Muzeum godne polecenia.

Well obviously the experience depends on the exhibition that is presented when you visit. I was there when there were impressionists, fauvists, suprematists,....from Monet, Cezzane, van Gogh to Picasso. There was also excellent contemporary exhibition, My generation, Jablomka Collection. What can I say, loved it, should not be missed if there is a chance of seeing it. Otherwise it is accessible, cosy gallery in a beautiful surrounding, close to the Hofburg Park if you want to take a rest after Art fix

An excellent modern art museum in the heart of Vienna The Albertina top floor has permanent exhibitions of Picasso paintings, as well as a plethora of other modern art. Other exhibitions are shown here also. The first floor has preserved rooms from the old palace, and facsimiles of some of the great drawings that are held in the museum collection, from artists like Durer, Raphael, and Michelangelo. For any lovers of art, the Albertina is a good place to visit.

Its a palace converted into an art museum with three floors with different exhibitions. You can see paintings by Picasso, Monet, Kupka, Delvaux and I believe that Picasso’s paintings are permanent setup. Not sure about the others. First floor is by itself an exhibition, you can see the palace rooms, writing rooms, tea rooms, bedrooms, etc. Basically, the palace from centuries ago in its naked form. You must not miss this place!

The museum is right in the centre of the city and has an amazing view to the opera. It has some of the most painting in the world. Money’s paintings were amazing. You can easily spent 2-4 hours there. There are many different artists inside it. It didn’t feel really consistent. It has a lot of the same artists as in Leopold Museum and Albertina Modern which I didn’t like because it felt like they just want people to pay more money to see their favourites artists. Many of the spaces were very confusingly organised and one never knows where to look and where to go.

Great exhibits with lots of information in German and English about individual pieces and artists. I liked the variety, with many artists displayed but arranged thematically. I particularly enjoyed the Gottfried Helnwein exhibit, it's very well put together and has a lot of interesting information about his information for most pieces displayed. Plenty of free lockers available to store your things for a €1 deposit, which the woman working the cloakroom gladly directed people towards instead of taking their money, which I appreciated. Overall nicely run and easy to spend 2-3 hours here.
