Unfortunately every aspect of this institution is fixated on making as much money as possible. From underpaying their museum guards (less than the minimum required hour wage of 8 euros) to overfilling every room in the exhibition with works, they carelessly use art as a tool to make them profit. For a bank funded institution this is a disgrace for themselves and for the workers and guests, who in the end pay a huge price to Bank Austrias money machine. This institution don’t care about art, their guest or their workers.

We went for Helmut Newton exhibition and Ukrainian art about the war. As I got from the name of the building it was old bank headquarter. Need to say looks impressive by architecture and entrance is just something.

Fascination with Japan Exhibition is a hidden gem and definitely a highlight of my Vienna visit. Thank you for making it happen! It would be really nice if the exhibition catalogue was available in English.

The Bank Austria Kunstforum Wien is an exhibition house at Freyung 8 in Vienna's 1st district, Innere Stadt. The eponymous Bank Austria is the main sponsor of the Kunstforum. The former bank building has been owned by Signa Holding since 2010 and has also housed the Constitutional Court since August 2012 (entrance Renngasse 2; this was given the address Freyung 8 on the occasion of the VfGH relocation). In 2020, the Kunstforum states on its website that it is frequented by 250,000 to 300,000 visitors per year.

First time in this gallery of contemporary art. Small but very well curated! Saw an amazing collection of Helmut Newton. Will make sure to come back next time in Vienna.

One of the best contemporary art museums in Austria. I visited the Helmut Newton and the Kiki Kogelnik exhibition with my membership card, and I must say that it's the best decision. If you want to support art, get your tickets to Bank Austria Kunstforum! The membership costs 35 Euro for 12 months, and even if it's not your cup of tea, the exhibitions are always inspiring here.

We visited the "Fascination Japan" exhibition, it was excellent. Amazing collection of art, very interesting and wonderfully put together. Highly recommended, even if for non "art people" :)

Super rude staff in the gallery. The worst staff in all the galleries i have so far visited, and they have been many. Rude staff also if you complain. They just dont care. Even management doesnt care, doesnt inquire if there is really any problem or not. Wouldnt recommend... Never ever again.not worth even a free visit. And this small space for 12??? eur. Keep far from there. Update : till today your staff was the nastiest i have ever met. Your management's approach too. I havent been to your museum since then. Would give zero stars but its impossible.

The Bank Austria Kunstforum could be a fantastic museum with a wide variety of art exhibits. However, there are some concerning issues regarding their treatment of their museum guards. It has come to my attention that the museum is underpaying their guards (under 8 euros an hour), which is completely unacceptable. This behavior is not in line with the values that they claim to uphold, specifically in regards to promoting feminist artists and equality. It is disappointing to see a museum that claims to support these ideals but fails to live up to them in their own practices. I would not recommend supporting this museum until they take meaningful action to address these issues.
