Definitely a unique museum. It's carriages mostly of Queen Sisi's time. They were the actual carriages used by the royal family. Can spend maybe 30-45 minutes here. Audio guide available, but not needed. Can Take pictures inside. Something fun to do that's not just a little art museum and located at Schönbrunn. Hidden muse actually, not very busy.

You probably going to miss it if you don't look for it. It's a huge collection of horsecariages. Very beautiful. They also have the last carriage that sissy rode in as well as the funeralwagon.

A fabulous collection of carriages from the Kaiser's collection. For me it was a highlight of my trip to Vienna.

This exhibition of carriages is absolutely first class. The carriages are all wonderfully preserved or restored into their former glory. The pedigree of all exhibits is well described in both German and English This Museum is not well enough publicised and we were fortunate to stumble across it by accident. It is well worth a visit. Vienna Pass holders are entitled to free admission.

Truly breathtaking musem. The displayed carriages have information boards beside them which tell us their stories. There's also a Formula 1 car which was used by one of Hasburg's descendants, which I think was a great touch.

This was a great place right beside the Schönbrunn Palace. It had all the carriages used by the kingdom at any point of time. From queen Maria Theresa to queen Elisabeth (Sisi) , everybody's carriages were on display. It also had Sisi's dress on display for a short amount of time. Beautiful place, great collection. We visited with Vienna Pass.

Buy your ticket and go here. It is worth it. No bathrooms so be sure to do any business prior to entry. There was no line and I bought tickets at the door of the Carraige Musuem. Takes about 30 minutes total, maybe 45.

An extra ticket to the palace itself, but a really interesting museum. Beautiful carriages and a stunning dress reconstruction!

One of our favorites. Beautifully preserved carriages. You get transported to a different world. No wait time. Highly recommend to include this during the visit.

A small museum worth a visit. It takes about 30-40 minutes to visit. You can read useful information on every item on display. Several years ago, when we visited the museum for the first time, the theme was Funeral Carriages. Now the center liece is Empress Elizabeth's secret dress. Enjoy the visit!

Very interesting to see, especially the details on all the carriages. It really projects you in another time! However, it is pretty chilly in there (probably for preservation reasons), so please out on a sweather extra! Other than that it is a totally amazing experience.

If you don't have time to see the inside of the palace, you can get a good idea of the splendour of the Astro-Hungarian Empire by visiting this beautiful museum in the grounds.

I was impressed by the variety of carriages gathered in this place, as well as the work put into their creation. Therefore, I recommend visiting it

Worth visiting, very well presented and organised exhibition. Carriages are kept intact and in good condition. Details and facts are well explained throughout so it is easy to inmerse yourself in history.

This is one of the many expositions of the Schonbrunn Palace, which is dedicated to the carriages of that time, in particular to Sisi's carriages and her riding skills. It's very interesting number of coaches made for childs. The clothes of that time and Sisi's dress with a wasp waist are also presented. Entrance fee is 12 euros. The number of people in this museum is much less than in the palace itself

Amazing to see those carriages in real life! Similarities between Sisi & Princess Diana.

Beautiful carriages and stuff around them, definitely worth a visit. Only "bad" thing i've experienced is that i was there with school and some classmates activated alarm eve though they didn't touch or cross anything so it seems that alarms there are maybe too sensitive. Otherwise it was perfect 👍🏻

Very cool to see the old carriages. We went in with the vienna pass, not sure if it would be worth it without unless you are keen

Fantastic museum, so many carriages to see & even sleigh carriages which were really different to anything I'd seen before. They've presented everything with lots of space & the ability to get close enough to see the wonderful detail on each carriage. Highly recommend.

Very informative! At first glance, it is a small museum of little significance. When already inside, you are wonderfully impressed and do not want to leave the museum: a dazzling collection of imperial clothes, an unforgettable collection of chariots, carriages, a wonderful presentation of the lives of the famous women of Habsbururgs. Don't miss the films! There is also an Audioguide which costs 2 Euros but is really worth it (unfortunately only few languges).

Display of many very impressive royal carriages including those for children, royal marriages and funerals. I was amazed at the size of theses carriages. The back wheels on most of these were a little more than 5 ft in diameter.

Great place if you are interested in carriages, old means of transport or the Habsburg family in general. It's also a great place if you want to see something interesting but you don't have enough time for the palace or want to escape the crowds. The carriages are very beautiful, so they are definitely worth seeing.

This museum was great. It is relatively small, and shows lots of different carriages from the nineteenth century. It includes the one that used to belong to Napoleon, a few for children, and also one automobile from 1909. It also describes Franz Joseph’s and Sisi’s life during those times.

Quite interesting to see and imagine the modes of transport of the past.

This is a gem not to be missed if you visit Schönbrunn. Apart from opulently decorated Habsburg royal carriages, you also learn about the life of Sisi and the history of Vienna through the lens of plagues and pandemics.

It was a good experience to enjoy the imperial carriages in the History of Austria. In addition, I learned a lot regarding the pandemics occurred in the history of Europe.
