Highly recommended museum with a vast selection of vintage to modern furniture. Consider purchasing the €44 Sisi ticket, which allows you to visit both Schönbrunn Palace and the Sisi Museum. It's well worth the price."

This is the hidden gem of city. I accidentally got there because of Sissi ticket for Hofburg palace. And it was worth visiting. There is a lot of historic furniture here used by emperors and their family. Rooms are recreated with knowledge and love. You can feel how they lived and what they used there. Also, there was no people there at all! We were alone here. So, I can recommend to visit the museum even instead of palaces, because of the great things here and nice experience.

This museum is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend buying the pass for €44 which gives you access to the Schronbrunn Palace and this museum, and the Sisi Museum.

Nice museum experience. Not very crowded. A free wardrobe and nice staff. Ticket price reasonable and includes audio guide. If you love furniture and it's history, it is a must. I do warn you that it was extremely cold in the museum, so maybe leave your coat on.

December 25th, I had this huge museum for myself, as there were no other visitors. This Museum is very much overlooked in comparison to Schönbrunn, or the Sisi Apartments in the Hofburg. The building is not a castle and very much hidden in a sidestreet, but it is partly historical as well and the added on modern part makes a very well done overall building. Original furniture of all epochs and different Emperors presented in fully furnished rooms, make you jump the time from room to room like a time traveller. Much of Sisis original furniture, including the ones used in the famous movies , lets you get a feeling for her many different dwellings. There is furniture from her castle in Hungary, Miramar, and so much more. The old toilet collection is funny, or Emperors Maximilian's Transport coffin!

Beautiful museum with all kinds of furniture, objects and what have you, from the palaces and emperor. Biggest collection of old furniture in the world. Also they have a special of sissy, the emperor's wife. Movie related stuff and pieces they used in the film. Also an extra exhibition of the things happened during war time and how furniture played a role in it. All sorts of requisites and stories. Really worth to see it. Buy i a 3 in 1 ticket at the sissy palace to visit schonbrunn, sissy and the furniture depot.

One of many museums on my bucket list. This museum offers a unique (i.e. different view/angle looking at Austria's imperial past and how it continues through furniture designs well into the 20th century. The only criticism: I found the layout somewhat confusing and spent my exploration in a constant panic not to miss out on anything.

1 of 3 museums of Sisi ticket, which is not as famous as other 2 but definitely worth to visit. There are many varieties of collections. Also many of them are related to Sisi. Recommend that spare at least 1-2 hours for listening all stories on free audio guide.

Lots of furtniture, who could expect that here? :) But also other things like clocks, crowns or old toilets. Not many people, this museum seems not such popular. Maybe because it looks like: „Let’s take all those things that really don’t fit anywhere else, pile them up and see what happens!” But still, worth an hour or two if you got time to kill in Vienna. :)

This is a terrific museum. It’s a bit tucked away but it’s really pretty massive and fascinating. Excellent collection that runs from the Habsburgs to the contemporary. It’s not crowded at all but is really comprehensive. Absolutely going back!

Amazingly rich collection, easy to use and interesting audioguide. Different approaches to presentation of museum exhibits - felt like a place where people love what they do and genuinly want to share this with the world. Highly recommendable!

Fantastic. A superb collection of furniture that came from all the palaces.

A large collection of imperial furnitures with detailed audio guides. Would recommend 1.5h-2h for this museum if you want to go through all the collections in details. The most interesting part is that you can actually sit on different antique chairs and try to feel the difference:)

A small museum dedicated to the imperial and to the ninteenth century furniture design and house decoration. Certainly merit a few hours of your time. The exposition of the bathroom utilities are especially entrataining.

Incredible place with many great items to see. I loved Sisi movie route where you can see what pieces of furniture were used in filming. I was shocked to see a bed where Rudolf killed his mistress. Really worth to visit. ❤️

Amazing collection. Although they advise to leave jacket, would suggest wearing as it got cold during our visit. It requires 2-3 hours to cover completely. Each furniture tells a beautiful story. We had no wait time. Highly recommend to include in the visit.

One of my favorite museums that I've visited, with an extensive collection. There was so much more than I expected, it's definitely worth the €11.50! Audio guide was helpful. I only planned to spend about an hour in here, but quickly realized I could have spent a whole day.

Very quiet, too many people miss this lovely look into what royalty actually used. Nice to see after the palaces to imagine them. Good for an hour ish with audio guide. Area cafes are also much cheaper or enjoy the gardens of this museum for a glass of wine/bite to eat. Might be quiet or loud depending on neighbouring playground.

Great collection from the royal time to modern austria design furniture, with audio guide in different languages! This museum is part of the Sisi Ticket combination and it was totally worth visiting!

we visited as our palace tickets included visiting this museum, it was very quiet which made it more enjoyable as there were no big crowds, the audio tour wasn’t brilliant we preferred just walking around and reading about things ourselves. included more modern pieces also.

Huge museum. 3 full floors of all different types of furniture. It was way bigger than I was expecting! I went on a Sunday afternoon and the entire place was empty

Very interesting displays. Nice set up and explanations. Cool to learn about how the emperor's servants used to move furniture around from palace to palace!

This is an impressive collection, complete with both German and English explanations of many individual pieces as well as the historical context surrounding them. Audioguides were unavailable when we visited, but not really missed. There are many items from the Habsburgs as well as from designers in the 20th (and 21st) century. You may want to consider the Sissi ticket that grants you access to this and a couple other museums. This is a must-see if you're interested in interior/furniture design.

Wonderful museum one of the largest of its kind in the world. At the moment they are exhibiting a wo derful collection of futniture by Hoffman Wagner and Loos , i furtunately pics were not allow in the special exhibition but really worth to go. The museum staff were all very kind and all the display was well done and well explained

Very nice place. You can see a lot of different furniture in this exhibition, which definitely transports you right back into the imperial times. It is a wide range form old to new examples with interesting sides facts. Right now, we participated in the "Sissi throughout the movies" tour, which is a current exhibition.

Very interesting furniture museum, u can see many old royal furnitures and sissi dresses and belongings. Also there is a section with furnitures , which u could see in the old black & white films about sissi. You could need apprx 1 hour to see all the place.

Included in Sisi-ticket (insider tip to buy it there, because no waiting like in Hofburg or Schönbrunn), we saw more things than we expected. Interesting with free audio guide. Relaxed, not so crowded.

It was just perfect ! I spent 3hrs exploring everything. Great explanations and amazing collection. Not crowded which is a bonus ! I really recommend !

A wonderful museum with a lot of wonderful furniture. They have some amazinghistoric furniture that's incredible! I'm usually not a big fan of museums but I loved this one. It could be strange to visit a "furniture Museum" but you'll miss something if you don't visit it !
