A small but very nice museum where you can learn a lot about the Strauss family of composers and listen to their music for hours if you want to on very high end equipment. The museum director will welcome you and add encyclopaedic information to the conversation. It's less busy than many other attractions but well worth it.

The Museum of the Johann Strauss Dynasty is the first museum in the world to present the family history and creative works of the entire Strauss family. Waltz king Johann Strauss, as well as his eponymous father and his brothers Josef and Eduard, conquered the world back then with their music. Even today, their more than 1,500 works represent Viennese music like no others.

One of the most beautiful historic places to visit if you love classic music. Very kind and humble owner at the reception, will definitely help you through the visit. 10/10 would visit again.

If you’re interested in a very detailed history/timeline of the Strauss family composers you’ll enjoy the museum. It’s pretty tiny especially if you’re comparing to actual museums- it’s at most an exhibit. My father insisted on staying for 2-3 hours just going from station to station listening the to the different works and the corresponding events. Would I come back? Probably not, but I did enjoy the rather obscure details of the personal lives of the family. I forget what the discount is but with the City Pass there is one

An exquisite exhibition of old photos and documents, the result of a life' s work and passion, a unique experience in which we had the pleasure to feel the pulse of genuine Wien, while reading the guide ( available in many languages) and listening to Strauss' music at our choice. I definitely recommend it ( and will come back)

A marvellous experience, reading about the lives of the Strauss family, while listening on headphones, at each station, to their music, much of it less well known but an absolute treat.
