Very small place with few things to see. It is a bit confusing and I left the place not knowing exactly what I had looked at. It’s nice to go on the day that’s free but isn’t worth actually paying to go inside.

Smallish museum. The Red Vienna exhibit was interesting and educational, but hardly worth the visit. The other exhibit was some photography exhibit without any title or explanations. Glad we went on the free first Sunday of the month.

(Translated by Google) The museum seems to have only one floor. The theme of the time was Red Vienna. It mainly talked about how the Austrian government restored the economy and improved the people's livelihood after the 1929 World Economic Depression. The first layer is not enough, German is too much, the video has English subtitles ... The student ticket for 6 Euros is a little loss, but it is good. If you are interested, you can learn about the current exhibition ~ (Original)

Really enjoyed the postcard exhibition. It’s was a great way to see Vienna throughout history as well as learn about the history of photography and printing. This location is changing exhibitions and we really enjoy this one. But do check the website to see what is on exhibit. There was also a really clever and funny (in a good way!) exhibition about failure. Really appreciated the sense of humor and fun of this curatorial decision!

Fantastic gallery. MUSA has no entree fee so it's a great place to see if you're by the city hall.

currently (open until 19 January 2020) features a very nice exhibition about Red Vienna, the time period from 1919 to 1934 when socialism was a major political force in the city; the whole thing is rather nicely curated, but more of an entry point into the topic, since the exhibition is somewhat small. the museum caters to everyone speaking German or English and features interesting objects/artwork. great for a not-so-long visit and a great way to explore the history of the city, both for locals and visitors!

We came with kids in the strollers, , i.e. Not running around, the staff was obnoxious from the moment they saw us. They have a kinderspielecke where you are not allowed to play, which we didnt know, cause hey, these places are usually designed for kids to play, but when I took my kid out from the stroller and it touched a box lying there, three of the staff came to tell me off in a very unpleasant way. Vienna is in general not very baby friendly.

The main Wien museum is closed so special exhibitions are held at the MUSA. When I visited, it was street photography and street furniture. For the entrance fee, I was disappointed.

Small museum with only a room. The staff was cold and unwelcoming. The Felix Salten story is nicely done and full of documents, photos and memorabilia. Overpriced a bit.

Absolutely loved the Red Vienna exhibition. Anyone who is in this wonderful city this year should definitely use an hour or so of their time to go and read about Red Vienna: housing, education, worker's rights etc etc.

(Translated by Google) Although advertised the entrance to the museum free of charge, it is not. Free access is only a room that was completely empty. In addition the attention of the staff was unfortunate as us laughing and said we do not know if it was irony or not.

(Translated by Google) Quite disappointing. Expensive (€ 7) for a very small exhibition that is visited in about twenty minutes. Moreover, the exhibition had nothing to do with Vienna but only about an architect who was born there (Original) Nogal teleurstellend.

It is nice that you can visit another museum in the network with the ticket. The free part being without interest we paid for the exhibition and it has a very limited interest! It was not worth 7 € at all! (Original) N'y allez surtout pas. Cute, quirky museum. We went on a free day. There were only 2 exhibits. While the exhibits were good I wouldn’t go here if I had to pay because there was 1 hour worth of content.

  • 4/5 M T. 4 years ago on Google
There's only one main room in this museum, as far as I'm aware, so I don't think they have much of a permanent collection. We saw the Rot Wien (Red Vienna) exhibit and find it really good, informative, and enlightening as to why Vienna is how it is today. There are a couple of other exhibit spaces for art. There's a little cafe inside that serves one of the best Italian coffees I've had in Vienna, situated as kind of part of the museum bookstore. This is a museum for a certain kind of adult (hipster, sophist, social sciences PhD), likely not interesting for kids.

To the ticket lady at the counter on 22/7/‘21 - quarter to closing time, Since I entered the shop you’ve been awkwardly following me around with your hawk eyed gaze. In spite of the fact that it is my (caucasian) partner who is frantically looking for last minute postcards and I’m the one casually browsing. In the end, while my partner is paying for his items, I’m taking a card on the left of the counter, where there are only free cards on display. You should get to know your working space better in stead of making non-caucasian people feel ill at ease and accusing them of stealing! It’s funny though, you’re working for an art institution. Art is there to free and enlighten the mind. I would suggest Wien Museum MUSA to gift their staff free entrance to their musea in order to enlighten and educate their employees and avoid these kind of (micro-)agressions in the future. Be better!

(Translated by Google) Pity! Unfortunately the MUSA does not deliver what it promises. 7 euros admission for about 20 pictures Richard Neutra in a relatively small exhibition area are in my opinion quite overpriced. There was no trace of the promised 30,000 exhibits, even when asked, it was said that these 20 pictures were enough. (Original) Schade!
