For those who about to visit first time this place. I call it a "place" because even it is presented as a museum, apparently it is not so. So before entering or buying a ticket make sure you get information of what is included and what to expect. I did not enter inside (was about to) luckily at last moment (when I saw how much to pay) I asked is there a ticked for "museum" only, and the answer was NO. So long story short: this is not a museum, it is "how to" school for making a chocolate (mostly in group sessions). There are some figures exposed as supposed to be a part of "museum" and that's it. So if you have an hour or so to spend there making own chocolate go ahead and do it. I am not criticizing, just saying that be aware of what to expect. Hope you find this info useful. Ciao!

My wife and I enjoyed the chocolate making workshop. It wasn’t a learning experience, but more of the fun in decorating chocolate bars. Mixing hot chocolate to taste was also a treat. Not much of a museum to see, but the staff were friendly and the chocolate delicious.

Well it's not really worth the money! The chocolate making it's pretty disappointed since you just getting a mold and getting it full with melted chocolate and that's it pretty much... The title museum, it's not really fitting the standard that someone would expect from a museum , it's just 2 or 3 chocolate statues and nothing more... The staff was really friendly, they are really cheerful (with no reason apparently) i was starting getting the felling that i was getting treating like a 10 yo... Maybe it's good for the children as a parent child bonding but nothing more...

It was a very descent museum, not that big, explaining the story behind chocolate. It was colourful and friendly for kids. The work shop was a nice touch and unique experience!

Great wee experience. There was a diverse group of people, most of which spoke english. Our guide and her colleague both spoke great English and were very bubbly and enthusiastic. Included in the price was three bars of chocolate, a cup of homemade hot chocolate, and unlimited nibbling of different toppings and chocolate. My dad and I felt like big kids, and had a great time. Thank you!

A fun place to visit with family and friends. You can see many interesting items made of chocolate and also participate in the process of making chocolate that you can take home with you.

The workshop is something you have to try! We walked in not really knowing what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. We bought workshop tickets and it started right at noon. The workshop lasted an hour and we learned all about the cocoa and how chocolate was made. Then we got to make our own chocolate bars with our own toppings and we also made a special drink! I’ll leave that to be a surprise. Underneath is a small museum for nice photo opportunities. Great experience!

Wow...I learned a great deal about everything that it takes to make chocolate...From its origins to the delicious chocolate bars we eat and the hot cocoa we drink. It was a fun time and a good family activity.

Brilliant Place to visit and take some time out of your day to have fun! The session was super informative and enjoyable. I didn’t know a lot about chocolate when I came but left as an expert. The chocolate was delicious and super fun to make! Customer service was great, i’d recommend brining a bag along so you can take your chocolate home. Thanks

Workshop for making the own chocolate bars was very interesting experience. The workshop was fully booked, so better to book in advance. At the end we forget to enter to the museum but the workshop was already explaining some historical points of views and facts about chocolate.

Hardly a ‘museum’ but if you’re not expecting too much you’ll probably enjoy the kitsch, and at times frankly tacky, display of items related to chocolate production. It would be better to present this as a “chocolate workshop” (& forget about the museum part!) for despite the poor quality chocolate on offer, it does have a certain fun value for children. Staff are friendly and interact well with children, which sweetens the fact that this is an overpriced 60 minutes of entertainment. Nevertheless, children would almost certainly enjoy this, not recommended for adults.

That was the best experience ever! We enjoyed every single second of it. Spontaneously we joined the workshop to make your own chocolate. The girl explained everything so well and you could just see how much she loved her job. After we made some amazing chocolate which is also possible in vegan!!!!! We went down into the museum it is still a little under construction but that was even better. The guy working there worked in the cocoa industry for more than 20 years and could tell us all about the best way to have it, good brands and the best chocolate spread. We bought the honey one and a oily one (hazelnut is the best!!!) We could try out everything all the time and learner so much! What a great day that was!

The chocolate museum was wonderful, but the chocolate workshop was AMAZING! We made our own chocolate bars and tried SO many yummy chocolates. Celma was delightful and so fun to be around and learn from! I’ll be back again and again for this sweet experience!

I had a wonderful time learning the chocolate making/decorating basics - with the very talented and enthusiastic Selma. When I did the workshop on Wednesday there were about 15 other guests - it was fun and Selma kept it on track. The quality of the chocolate they make and use is amazing(fair trade) and tastes delicious. Selma was very informative during the workshop. I came back the following day to try the Praline workshop (a private session!) which was also interesting and they are so tasty. I now understand the basic concepts to try at home with a little more confidence. Selma was fab and Ganga behind the counter/reception was delightful and very helpful. I enjoyed it and had a lot of fun - it’s not a extensive in detail session about roasting/grinding and tempering to make the actual chocolate and that is explained on their website- it’s a insight into chocolate , gives you an understanding and allows you to get some hands-on knowledge. I definitely want to try to create my own chocolate at home and now I have the basic info to do that along with a few days supply of delicious chocolate to nibble on ! Perfect for adults, teens and children alike !

The place is nice. But museums is very small. 90% of the museum is kept in close after COVID. Very small part of the museum remains open for the day. The main attraction is the chocolate making workshop.

Queen of chocolate! We had a wonderful time at The Chocolate Museum where we made our own chocolate. Selma - The Queen of chocolate - is an enthousiastic and energetic lady who clearly loves to teach about chocolate! Very nice place and service. Don't forget to kiss the bunny when you leave.

A nice place to entertain your kids. You can spend 1h doing your own chocolate and hot chocolate. I recommend the workshop, but the museum is simply rubbish, don't waste your time.

What a wonderful experience. We all enjoyed it. The 5 year old won’t stop talking about it. We loved making the chocolate during the workshop. Highly recommend and a great family experience. Museum wasn’t much. Just one room and a few photo opps. Staff during the workshop was very friendly. Staff at the front desk was friendly but obviously very tired and seemed annoyed that we were there.

The museum has definitely seen better days. Typos in English signs don’t help either. A chocolate workshop is possibly a nice experience for small kids. Definitely not for adults. We booked a time slot where visibly less people has make a reservation. Yet we were send to wonder around the museum for an hour and were then merged with a reservation for the next hour. Which was crowded (15!! people not counting employees). The workshop space is not really suited for this number of visitors. Besides, that’s exactly what you’d try to avoid midst pandemic. Isn’t that what time reservations are for?! No proper 3G checks or anything either, and, that, of course, with masks off setting, since we were sampling ingredients. In short, very poor.

What a wonderful time!! Such friendly employees. Made the experience more enjoyable! Plenty of samples at the table :). A lot of fun and a lot of laughs. And when we were all done, we enjoyed a nice cup of homemade hot chocolate, that we made ourselves. Bravo!!!

We visited this museum in 2021 July, let's say in quiet times because of covid, and unfortunately we booked so called "chocolate making workshop". I call it unfortunately because it was not worth at all, we paid 19 euros per person, and what they showed is how to add extras over choclate tray and just kept in the fridge. No value addition. I don't recommend for children also. The museum itself was a room sized and very average. You can just see this photo and avoid going there.

I went to the chocolate bar making class here as a solo traveler and it was super fun! The staff are extremely nice & able to give instructions in English as well! We made 3 chocolate bars each and hot chocolate! You can customize your chocolate with many different toppings! Afterwards you can visit the small chocolate museum downstairs! Overall, I would recommend this to anyone! Also kid friendly, of course!

  • 5/5 Maitham A. 2 years ago on Google
As museum, it’s not that big!! But if you like chocolate even remotely, you must try their making chocolate lessons,, Where you will enjoy around an hour of learning about chocolate facts and background, and then you make your own chocolate bar that you have all the options of additives, and finish with drinking a milk chocolate that you just made yourself,, The instructor is very nice,, After finishing the amazing experience, you can just try their own chocolate and buy from their wide range of options,,
