The museum is all about the subject in its name. The museum can be difficult to find as there’s only a small plaque by the door. The museum consists of two rooms of exhibits. All the exhibit descriptions as in German, but the staff will happily give out audio guides that has English. I thought the audio guide and exhibits were excellent, explaining how difficult life was in the days before people could easily control their reproductive health, and how much life has improved for people since. The museum is off the beaten track, but I was staying close by, so it was lucky. The subject matter will be difficult, but the museum covers and explains it with great dignity.

Here is my problem... In the English text at the very beginning they mention Beate Uhse. That's fine she was an important figure in the topic of sexuality, especially feminine. However, they talk about her other accomplishments as a pilot for the Third Reich. Shame on the museum for glorifying that part of her past! I hope they update the narrative.

Good museum, but it lacks text in English, so I wound up not really learning everything I could've. Love the stickers though!

Don't miss this small unique place. Dive into the history of contraception and discover the ugliness of the history of abortion.

Well...it's something which u don't get to see or experience in a normal museum.(2 rooms) It's a more kind of reading /informative museum..less interactive stuff.. definitely worth it if Ur 'very' interested

Fantastic and informative museum. Not sensationalist or biased in anyway, just presents history and medical facts. It takes about an hour with the English audioguide. If you read German, allow a bit longer to read the exhibits as well. Just a shame more of the text isn't in English as well but mostly explained with the audioguide.

10/10 museum! Would definitely recommend to *everyone*. A great balance of being interactive and informative without draining my attention. Would love to see more museums like this around Europe so well done to all who organise and run this great and cosy museum!

Great, interesting museum. Small, but very informative and affordable for the price. The staff was very friendly. Only downside was that the explanations on the wall were in German (the audio guide can be in English, but does not match word for word the board descriptions). Would recommend for anyone visiting Vienna. It takes around an hour to go through the exhibits.

Amazing museum! A bit hard to find (look closely at the doors and one of them has a small sign next to it. Then ring the bell that says ‘museum’) and you have to pay cash. It’s all worth it though. Even though the information is in German, they offer an amazing audio guide. We spent quite a lot of time there and I’ve really learned a lot! Great initiative and important to talk about these kinds of things

The museum was interesting and very informative, through a text (in German - we used Google photo translation for some of the written elaborations), an audio guide that was available in english, and various displays. It took us around two hours to go through the museum. It's both an important issue and an interesting, unusual experience. Would definitely recommend.

interesting, brief but in-depth. the current exhibition must have been finished during the 00s, so it does not take into account the recent changes and further development or pushback when in comes to abortion access in the eu. it was quite hard to get in (the doorbell was not working for us) and, as we went pretty late, we had trouble with the english audioguide running out of battery, but a very friendly staff member tried to resolve the issue to the best of her abilities. cash only

The museum was incredibly interesting and informative even to a non-german speaker. All the information is written in German, but the museum has free wifi to download an audio guide and transcript to follow along. We learnt so much during our visit, would highly recommend it if you're curious about going.

It's an important place to visit. Small but interesting presentation of the history of contraception & abortion. The English audioguide is extremely well-made and helpful especially that descriptions are in German only. I recommend this museum to anyone who wants to learn more on the subject.

Visited during Museum Night so the small museum was very crowded, but I still enjoy the simple fact that this museum and the people behind it exist and educate people.

It was a bit hard to find the entrance, but well worth it. If you don’t read German, download google translate ahead of time and you will get more out of the experience by translating some of the displays. There is also an English guide available on the website for free

So very informative! Go with an open mind and you will learn so much. "women are not dying because of diseases we cannot treat. They are dying because societies have yet to make the decision that their lives are worth saving" ~Prof Fathalla; Egypt

Interesting museum which focuses on the health, safety and welfare of women when it comes to family planning. It's small but packed with info.

Educational. It’s quite small. Audio guide available in English, but all texts are in German.

Museum was closed with no indication. Waited for 30minutes in front of a closed off door. If you’re on vacation please have the decency to mention it on your Facebook page, website so that the people who wish to visit your museum to travel to it for no reason.

The museum has great atmosphere and the employee was very nice. The entrance is a bit hard to find, but it wasn't any of a problem. There was a lot of information showed in very interesting ways. It was all in German, but it's understandable after the museum is small. I loved its design!
