Very small and rather disappointing museum, which, in fact, is only one room. If you thought, Vienna couldn't beat it's Freud museum in importance and size, you were wrong.

Excellent museum. Very informative. Friendly staff. All descriptions are in English. Media info was good too. The museum allows one to have a good overview of what Dr Frankl is like as a person, his theories and teachings and provided good case studies / examples which laymen can understand. The museum is right next to where Dr Frankl used to live, and the setup and explanations were directed by Dr Frankl’s family. So I believe everything stays true to Dr Frankl’s spirit. You can €2 off entance fee with the Club Wien card.

Firstly, the lady in charge at the front desk is incredibly pleasant and attentive and genuinely interested in you and your visit. I thoroughly enjoyed this museum, Frankl is a large influence in my choice of career and so visiting his former house and seeing the museum was a fantastic experience. I am very glad I went and would certainly visit again. Good price too for what you get. Great set up.

A museum is dedicated to the world-famous founder of logotherapy and existential analysis, Viktor E. Frankl, in the 9th district. The world's first Viktor Frankl Museum in Vienna is small but mighty. The famous Viennese doctor and philosopher himself lived in the same house that now accommodates the museum from the end of the Second World War until his death in 1997. The museum was opened in March 2015, when the Holocaust survivor Viktor E. Frankl would have turned 110 years old. Visitors can go on a search for clues through the life, work and creativity of the founder of logotherapy. There is an active debate with personal sensory and existential questions (e.g. "Guilty - what next?" or "True love?"), which is answered with Frankl's theses and talks. This opens up a personal way for the visitors to find a sense of purpose. The interactive stops consists of turn boards, audio and video excerpts as well as boxes behind which questions and answers are located. The exhibition is arranged in English/German. The guided tours are given by people trained in logotherapy and are only available outside opening hours.

Small museum but very informative. The lady at the reception was so kind and helpful. I ended up spending a bout an hour inside. Lots of reading materials in the library.

Don't be fooled by the physical size of the place. Even though it is only the size of an apartment, all the exhibits are interactive and they take a long time to absorb. To properly go through it takes at least an hour, and you would need 3 hours to watch all the videos. And the library could keep you busy for years. Overall a very nice and enlightening experience.

I enjoyed this museum. I had no idea what to expect, but I came out feeling quite uplifted by the positive messages in side. It might come off sometimes as a bit wishy washy at times (ie, life is great! Make the most out of everyday), but it was certainly interesting to learn more about this thinker. It would be hard to come out of this exhibition not feeling inspired. The lady at the front was so incredibly kind too, I didn’t have all the money required but she still let me in, and she let me borrow a coin for the storage locker. So incredibly nice and attentive.

The neurologist and psychiatrist Viktor Frankl, founder of the "Third Viennese School of Psychotherapy", lived at Mariannengasse 1 until his death in 1997, where he completed his theories of man as a spiritually gifted being who is able to defy all adversities as soon as and as long as he finds meaning in life. Today, this place of Frankl's work is an inspiring museum where visitors are introduced step by step to the high art of healing the soul, thereby learning more about their own opportunities and potentials than just about the career of a genius.

I was brought there by friends and ended up in a flat that was restructured to honor VIKTOR FRANK. Only by exiting I realized I spent the past hours in Mr. Frank's former flat.. I never heard of him before but I am very intrigued in all his teachings, his view on life and how he managed to overcome all his problems, his fears and especially always himself. I could only pass 2 of 5 rooms and am willing to get back there.. IF you have a really bad time, miss perspective and opportunities, I dearly recommend this exhibition, since his teachings might sooth your mind, and soul.

It is a very small museum, but really informative. I expected a bit more (since I am a big fan of his books and contributions) but it was okay. I would recommend it only if you are REALLY interested in Viktor Frankl.

Such an amazing experience! Very well organized. Easy to comprehend even to those with no psychology/philosophy studies! Strongly recommend it! The lady in the reception was very helpful and kind!

Very good museum for those who are interested in Victor's Frankl work. Although it is small, the information is dense with variety of supports and lots of videos available. It's very inspiring to read all of this. We should think much more about meaning, freedom and responsibility, human being behavior. Thanks for that great work.

Victor Frankl was a medical doctor psychiatrist who integrated his experiences into a positive transformation of human consciousness. He had undergone the toughest of tests and tragedies in life but he encountered it in a very positive way to transform himself and others from which Logotherapy, a psychological tool he perfectly crafted. It is the meaningfulness of life that Victor emphasized and this catapults a guman person from the dungeon of depression and self destruction.

Very good place to visit if you are a fan of Frankl, juat a shame its a little small, with so much work in his life it really should be bigger. Still all the stuff there is modern and contemporary. A must visit

It was a privilege to visit this museum dedicated to the father of logotherapy.

Small museum with information on Viktor Frankl's life and ideas - probably around two hours is enough to cover the various exhibits. For me this was a highlight of my visit to Vienna, and better than the Freud museum (although that was interesting too). As other reviews have mentioned the lady running the museum (Gabriele) is super lovely and helpful - thank you!
