Definitely recommend this unique destination for art lovers. The tour is in German but the exhibition is in both German and English. I was particularly delighted to know that a) Klimt was quite into Asia arts! b) The Rose in the garden is the original Damascus rose he painted in the picture!

Interesting place to learn about the history of Klimts works in the recent history. Sadly no original works are at display there. Museum shop has some nice prints available though.

Klimt's beautiful villa shows the artist's lifestyle even though he never saw it completed, entirely Interesting because it reconstructs the life of the artist and his missing or destroyed paintings.Near Schonbrunn it could be an idea if you want to enrich your knowledge about this particular painter.

Officially a memorial and not a museum, you won't find any original art here. The tour was very interesting, as was the content of the Klimt Lost exhibit, but one might as well have read about it fx online rather than paying 12 Euros entrance fee.

Gentleman at the reception desk was very nice and helpful. The overall experience was a little disappointing, there is not much left that is original from Klimt’s time.

Only open on Sunday?? WTH!? One of the main reasons to come to town, only to drive to it, and find it closed. Such a disappointment.

Nice museum which gives the history of the artist and the house itself. We were lucky to get free entrance as it was Klimt's birthday 🎈

Nice experience for the fans of Gustav Klimt. The exposition is not big, so you'll be able see and contemplate all of it in one hour at most. It's best to visit in good weather as to be able to enjoy the garden.

Klimt Villa From 1911 until his death in 1918, Gustav Klimt used a villa in Vienna's 13th district as his studio. This was revitalised and made accessible to the public again. Klimt used the garden house, originally built without a first floor, as a studio or workshop during his last creative period. On the ground floor, the studio is faithfully recreated on the basis of contemporary descriptions and illustrations. The aim is to make the living and working situation tangible in terms of atmosphere and content. This will be done by reconstructing the furnishings of the "reception room" and the "studio" on the basis of photos by Moritz Nähr and existing original samples of objects (e.g. carpet). In the other rooms of the studio, information is provided about models and "clients" who were important for Klimt's works of this creative period. The 6,000 m² garden is an oasis of peace, and the architecture of the house is particularly exciting: for in the 1920s the original studio was "built over" with a picturesque villa. Klimt's studio has thus been preserved inside.

The last working place of the artist, which gives you a clue of what an inspiring place can do. Very cosy, very nice and quiet area of the city (not too far from Schönbrunn as well). Every Saturday at 14 they have a guided tour. But check the website first. It was a lovely visit fulfilled by an artistic feeling. Got inspired!

Not really worth the 10 Euro fee. Nice house, but not much to see. Almost no original artwork not anything to tell you anything about Klimt or his live or work process. You can get more in a book. Very disappointing.

It is a small villa and not much of Klimt's work left there. A little bit of story and small souvenir shop. Just one room with original furniture and interior of that time.

You have to be a Klimt fan to enjoy this of course, but I really liked it. It provides a narrative of what happened to Klimt’s works after the war with a focus on paintings that were looted from Jewish collectors. It doesn’t cover much about Klimt’s life, but it’s still interesting. It took me about 1.25 hours to walk through.

Place where once stood the atelier of the famous Master. Later it was incorporated into villa and now it represents a memorial to the famous painter. Sad history but his work remains forever...

Very interesting material, nicely collected and displayed. Guide is motivated to answer any questions. Also a unique venue for any kind of social events or even for weddings. The organisation behind the story shows the power of civil movement. A cultural gem, don't let it out!

I agree the price €10 euro for a walk to the place not worth it. Nice little exhibition. Only visit if you’re very curious about Klimt himself, as he said people should understand him through his works anyway. I’d say I’m surprised Klimt used to live in such an ordinary place tho, for a great artist he was and is. I’ve gained even more respect to him.

Not bad. A very small museum, garden is also small. But very informative and all displays and info are also in English. An extra star for this! 👍👍👍

The exhibition is great. However, if you want to get a coffee here, you will have to be ready to visit multiple times. Today's the third time we are just ignored by the waiters, even after calling and asking them for the menu, just upsetting.

The owner of the house or person who takes care of it, is an older man that is very very rude. The rest of the staff is very nice and kind. But because of the owner would never come back, seems they are racist and xenophobic. Very sad.

Lovely place to understand Klimt and the vienese society from the beggining of the 19th century until post WWII . Not spectacular but very cozy place full of hints about the past.
