¡Y no estaba!

Small but very moving museum about Austria during World War II; concentration camps, resistance, forced labor, arrests and exiles. There are some very cruel stories. I even found an identification card of an Austrian exile in Mexico named Rudolf Neuhaus and issued by the Party of the Mexican Revolution (today PRI). In short, the museum remembers moments in human history that must never happen again.

Very good but not everything has a translation so worth noting you may have to rely on having a smattering of German under your belt.

A historian who works there on a voluntary basis spontaneously gave us a private tour. It was a very interesting exhibition, especially for us as German visitors, some things about Austrian history were completely new. Absolutely worth seeing!

A very important and informative place. There are free and very worthwhile guided tours. An archive in which scientific and anti-fascist work and research takes place. A clear recommendation

Well worth the visit and just a short walk from Stepanplatz Station and St Stephan’s Church. Is quite difficult to locate, badly signposted (not at all). *** Enter thru No.8’s gateway (Altes Rathaus) and continue thru archway into courtyard. Entry to Archive is centre along rear wall of courtyard.*** Small display but very well put together. Display notes in German with English translations for a large part. Everything from the extremely sad, to the inventive, to thought provoking.

(Translated by Google) Relatively small rooms but many interesting details and things worth knowing. It is best to take a guided tour to get an overview!
