(Translated by Google) During a guided tour through the museum, the chimney sweep's profession in the past, but also its tasks today, is presented. Old, beautiful stoves are shown and discussed. Then the working world of the chimney sweep is demonstrated on exhibits. The collection of many chimney sweep figures made of many materials round off the tour. This year's special exhibition “Once upon a time there was the chimney sweep church” with many exhibits and memorabilia can be seen in the large room. Finally, as is usual with chimney sweeps, there is a glass of sparkling wine or sparkling orange. Appointments can be arranged freely. Admission is free.

The fourth districts Museum with historical information around the Wieden (vienese name of the district) as it was centuries ago. Focused on the traditional trade of the chimney sweepers.

I visited this museum as part of the “Long Night of Museums” and was thrilled. All questions were answered in detail and the exhibits are really great. I would be happy to come back to deepen my knowledge.

This museum is well worth a visit if you're in Vienna - entry is free and it's got lots of interesting stuff to see (although all the information is in German). Hermann, the staff member on duty when we visited was incredibly friendly and did his best to give us information and even gave us a couple of glasses of fizz each! All in all, well worth a visit if you're in Vienna and want something a little less touristy and little more quirky!
