Another stunning art gallery with tremendous art in Vienna. There is a lot of G Klimt, if you like, but not only! There is a beautiful garden in front of it and a breathtaking view of all Vienna. It's a must-see, remember to visit a shop with a lot of small and silly things to buy, but in my opinion, this is something to remind me of my great time there! As I always say, buy tickets online at least one day in advance to avoid the queue. It's brilliant there!

A renovated and stupendous gallery for its architecture and the position it holds in the Belvedere park. I admired numerous paintings inside and was satisfied, also because the internal gardens are truly beautiful. If you pass by the Belvedere, a visit could be useful.

As with most of the museums in Vienna, the Belvedere is an astonishing building. The thing that stands out is that it is surrounded by a lovely garden with fountains. The location offers a nice view of the city. The selection of artworks that are displayed in Belvedere is good and it includes some famous masterpieces ( The Kiss by Klimt, Napoleon by David...) and many less known paintings that make the tour of this museum an unforgettable experience. Suggestion: online tickets are cheaper!

Great gallery in the heart of Vienna to see the Klimt collection. The Belvedere palace is very grand has a large grounds with beautiful gardens to stroll around between the upper and lower gallery. Stop in and enjoy the art and the lovely grounds. The famous Kiss by Klimt is on display here for you to enjoy.

A must see place, would be better to allocate at least 3 hrs time and buy tickets in advance. As a palace, not very much to see, but it is so nicely preserved and protected for many years. As a museum, it is a unique experience. The presentation of the art pieces from different schools is really so easy to follow and educative. There are paintings of many renowned artists such as Gustav Klimt and Claudia monet.

Home to the largest collection of Gustav Klimt's paintings and many other great artists. ‘ The Kiss’ there is breathtaking among many other artworks. Another striking art was Madame X. Very beautiful museum and it’s something that one cannot miss when in Vienna.

Just astonishing museum/gallery in Vienna! You can easily spend a day there. The gardens are beautiful in rain I could not imagine how amazing they are during spring and better weather. Inside the gallery, it’s a different world. I loved it.

Very expensive but just like all museums in Vienna. Great collection and accessibility interactives. Download the app Smartify to scan the works and get the audioguide. The museum shop is really good and they definitely capitalize on their works. The kiss is just breathtaking.

Highly recommend to visit this palace if you are a fan of Klimt. Works by various artists are also on display here but The Kiss is the crowning jewel of the collection. The gardens are grandiose and also worth a visit/stroll.

I only visited the Upper Belvedere. Many of Gustav Klimt’s paintings are at display there and It has the biggest museum shop among the three of them in Belvedere. The palace itself is beautifully decorated with wall and ceiling paintings and statues.

Good museum, but a little underwhelmed by the amount of art displayed there. The Klimt paintings are iconic, but we were expecting more given other museums like the Albertina cost the same and offer much more range

We visited the upper art gallery only and was not disappointed. We did get there early and would probably recommend online ticket to avoid the que. A wonderful display of Gustav Klimt’s artwork’ including ‘the kiss’ and a ‘Judith and the Head of Holofernes’ which are amazing to see in person. Must see if in Vienna!!

Divided into multiple different parts and entrances with the Lower Belvedere and the Upper Belvedere. If you are looking for the Art gallery it's the Upper Belevedere that you want. Entry was 13,90€ general admission and with the Vienna City card it was 13,90€.. yup you read that correctly no discount with the Vienna city Card. You also have to book a time slot for entry so it's best to book ahead of time. This is the location of Klimt's famous The Kiss and many of his other works. Some were on tour when we came so we missed them.

Such an amazing place and palace. There are 3 floors entirely full of works of art, there are also Klimt’s Kiss and Jacques Louis David’s Napoleon but even the rooms are breathtaking. I loved it. The garden is beautiful. I really recommend paying a visit there.

Spectacular collection of Klimt’s work. Also some very cool exhibits and art from Vienna. Audio tour was alright convenient but pretty much just read the description to you. Also explained the history of the building very well with a timeline exhibit Beautiful building and they have a/c. Definitely worth the experience

The gallery is so much more than its main attraction (Klimt's 'The Kiss' of course) and well worth a visit. There are three buildings you can explore and all have something to offer and stories to tell.

The former imperial palace has now become an art museum, where you can find the works of the famous Austrian painter Gustav Klimt, among which the most famous work "Kiss" is also here, a museum worthy of appreciation

The Belvedere palaces and the surrounding gardens are beautiful and well worth a visit. The upper Belevedere museum contains a very diverse collection, but the standouts are definitely the Klimt paintings (including the famous 'Kiss'). I would recommend a visit just to see these as they are stunning masterpieces! Make sure to book tickets in advance if you can, to skip the lines and pay a bit less. Enjoy the visit!

Paintings and gardens? I prefer gardens. But there is some pretty stuff in here, such as the kiss of Klimt and the famous portrait of Napoleon riding a horse that you can find literally in every history book.

Dancing in museum? So happy to see the original Klimt pictures and other artists and their masterpieces! Come to dance and get a "Kiss" from Klimt!

The artworks on display are spectacular; Klimt's Kiss is a highlight, as well as Napoleon's portrait. The castle itself is beautiful as well.

The Belvedere is a Baroque palace complex with two palaces, an orangery, stables, and a large garden in between it all. Lacking a prince to claim it as his summer palace, the modern Belvedere is now an Austrian art gallery filled with 16th & 17th century landscapes, Symbolist art from Klimt and Schiele, and a little medieval collection. The Lower Belvedere's exhibits shift fairly often - when we went, they were displaying a collection of Venice paintings, as well as art from/of southern Italy and Sicily. For a temporary exhibit, it was beautifully designed and quite impressive!

Such a beautiful palace it feels unreal. The gardens are just breathtaking - leading the way to the upper palace/gallery museum. The palace itself is so beautiful! It's recommended to go downstairs to -1 floor to leave all your belongings there. It'll be much easier to travel around without something to carry. On Tuesday we didn't have to wait in line to buy tickets. But it's recommended to buy ahead on weekends

Worth a visit if you are in Vienna. It's free to enter the area and walk around in the beautiful park and look at the palace. Easy to reach with public transport.

Really enjoyed the museum! I think they must be installing new exhibits in the Upper Belvedere because several areas were closed off and it felt like a fairly small museum, but for €20 student price for both the upper and low it really felt worthwhile. It was amazing seeing the Klimt works in person and I liked that they had plenty of information for people like me who didn't pay extra for an audio guide. The Trees exhibit at the lower museum was also really interesting.

We had a Vienna Pass and the entrance was free. The place is amazing in its beauty. It was the palace of the empress. We went through the halls. There were fascinating pictures that tell the story of the people who lived there and in front of it is the other part of the palace where there is the Natural Museum.

Very nice museum only two levels most of the artwork was by Gustaf Klint it’s actually one of the worlds largest collections of this artist A few of the paintings were not like his usual that we all know so that was interesting to say and that he father 14 children with something interesting !!!! It was a nice hour to two hour type of museum The temporary exhibit was very interesting George Eisner The baroque architecture something to see and the gardens are really nice to walk around in and take pictures

As with Schonnbrunn Palace, this one is defintely worth a visit also when in Vienna. Very well maintained gardens, fountains and palace building itself. Read up on this history a little bit before arriving and you’ll understand the significance of this place. Today, it is full of artwork. I did not go inside, as I had definitely had my fill of art and culture this Summer, but I am sure it is very much worth a look. The grounds are large, easy to access and can be traversed in 20-ish minutes. Enjoy.

Absolutely gorgeous place, if you're ever in Vienna, visiting this place must be on your list. It's super easy to reach using public transport or by foot and entrance to the gardens is free! Additionally there is a cafe on site where you can get some drinks. You can purchase tickets to visit the art exhibitions and the gorgeous buildings from the inside and get an even more beautiful view.

The Belvedere is a historic building complex in Vienna, consisting of two Baroque palaces. It represents one of the mandatory visit in Vienna due to the great gallery inside the complex in Upper Belvedere. In this gallery there are a lot of great paintings of Schiele and Klimt but also of other artists.

Decided to visit Belvedere musuem because it is top 10 on trip advisor. Unexpectedly they have my fav artist Salvador Dalí. So I really enjoyed that part of it. Apart from that some of the oil on canvas painting on the top floor of the upper Belvedere was unreal and some of the paintings were so realistic considered when it was painted. Other than that if you like art in all sorts then you should enjoy the trip there. Again quite subjective but here you go.

Art lovers will enjoy and spend long time there...better visit in summer to see the beautiful gardens, darkness in winter starts early and cold to walk around. Beautiful pieces of art even when I don't really know much about it. Price bit by expensive comparing with other museums, pay separately for each level. Disabled friendly, tidy clean, not enough consideration for the tourists translation to english which is a big problem in Austria in general. Discounts for seniors.

Awesome. We visited upper Belvedere to see Klimt's works. So nice. However, I really think that the lights weren't properly on the exhibits, because we had to change a lot points of view to see a painting, which was really uncomfortable. I totally recommend that you visit Belvedere.

This a Must see museum if you going to visit Vienna. I just spent 5 hours inside and been mesmerised by the whole art that the museum provides, recommend to get the tickets online so you can enter straight away with no queues. You will need to leave the bag in the cloakroom so bring with you some water.

A superb and classic Austrian paintings and sculptures museum in the beautiful Prince Eugène of Savoy Palace, a beautiful piece of baroque architecture. Prince Eugène came to Vienna after French King Louis XIV refused him a military career. He went to Vienna to offer his service and was so talented that he headed the Austrian Habsburg armies during 3 emperors. He succeeded to defeat to Ottoman Turkish armies twice. As a result, he was immensely gratified by the emperors and built this Palace and was a great collector of art.

I visited the upper gallery and gardens. There are different types of tickets and the Klimt collection is on the upper gallery. There was a classic music playing at the entrance, I think celebrating 300 years of existence. The gallery has a beautiful collection, some pieces moved from the Art History Museum. This museum is interesting easily accessible by tram line 0 or Metro line 1 and walk a few minutes. Not a long queue for the ticket office and the architecture of the rooms is beautiful, not only the Art pieces. Have fun.

A beautiful place with glorious paintings exhibited, ( I am not talking about the Klimt's Kiss, because this gallery shows also other perfectly crafted art). Go and visit also the Lower Belvedere. You won't be disappointed. Currently they held there an exhibition of the colossal paintings on a great scale and it's breathtaking. Plus you will go through some pretty rooms with a lot of mirrors and gold-plated walls, later to see Roman paintings.

Relaxed museum ...come now for a special Corona price with the Bundesmuseen pass for the Belvedere and many more museums, reduced heavily until 15. September 2020. We didn't have to pay extra to view the works of Klimt. It isn't like Musée d'Orsay but some works are just ""magnificent**. There is a nice focus on popular Viennese artists and the audio descriptions can also be downloaded for free on an app Smartify (bring along earphones!) a big thanks to the guardians who let us explore the paintings up close without screaming at us to stand back. Totally enjoyed the experience with a walk in the gardens later.
