This place is literally our favorite restaurant we’ve ever been to. Me and my wife came here for the first time three years ago when we first met and loved the experience so much we never stopped talking about it. only now- three years later- we got a chance to visit Vienna again and we were so excited to come back! The food was as delicious as we remembered it, we came here for dinner two days in a row. We ordered the miso soup, spring rolls, the special chicken dish, dumplings and the chicken with veggies and cashew. All of it was absolutely delicious! The waitress Chin (i apologize if I spelled it wrong) is the sweetest, always smiling and super friendly! They often give a small complimentary dessert plate after your meal, usually with an orange and a small nonalcoholic drink. It’s a lovely ending to your meal! The food and experience here is definitely worth the money. Good portions of delicious food with a complimentary treat, and a lovely staff? We will ALWAYS come back here when in Vienna, and we recommend you do the same😁

A place that is a little bit hidden. Super yummy and unique vegan dishes! We ordered four mains to share and had a feast. The staff was super nice and we felt very welcomed and got some complementary aloe vera drinks :) it wasn't full on a weekday evening, we could just walk in. The interior design is unique and funky, and there are also seats outside. The "ribs" came sizzling on a metal plate, that was really cool!

Food is delicious and service is excellent. Went for dinner and they give you a mix of small bites dessert after your meal. A nice addition. I'd go back in a heartbeat! The only improvement is to update the English menu which has old prices. So I was surprised to see the much higher prices when the bill came. Then I finally figured out why the lady gave me another menu in German after I gave back the English menu. Turns out she was telling me the updated price is the one reflected in the German menu. A bit of a slight of hand but I let it pass as a misunderstanding. Do note: this place is cash only.

The food was incredibly delicious! The appetiser we tried which was a potato cheese roll of sorts was insanely good! The main course portion is huge. We were two people so we went with two mains and I feel it was too much. We were so stuffed by the end. The lady who attends the table was super busy that night so it took her a long time to get us our bill. But no complaints because we were offered free dessert and a drink during the wait. The only downside is- everything is very oily. Especially the mains were ordered were oozing oil.

The waitress was just incredibly hospitable and down right excellent!!! The food was really good - even my non vegan partner absolutely loved it! We got the “duck” with noodles and that was our favourite and the “chicken”. Also really liked the wontons! Definitely coming back and bringing friends! So happy to have this place in vienna! And - usually when I eat Chinese food especially in large quantities, it can feel heavy. But the food here was somehow filling but light, even though some of it looks really heavy. 🤩 🤩

Oh my goodness, you need to eat here!! Whilst we were at another restaurant, we read the reviews of this place and decided to scoot here right after, as it was our last night here and we wanted to try it. I am now extremely full and have no regrets. We ordered the wun tun soup, the crispy chicken, the crispy duck, the smoked chicken and the ribs. Everything was so delicious and the best vegan meat we’ve all ever tried. Super tender, juicy and flavourful - and the crispy stuff was light and crispy and not stodgy at all. The ribs were served on a sizzling cast iron and the sauce (with fresh bean sprouts, scallions and veggies) was drizzled over the top by our waiter. Really really lovely staff as well! We wish there were more restaurants like this. ‘I would fly here on Saturday morning just to go here for dinner and then go home on Sunday’, says my dining partner Don’t dare to dilly dally! Tarry not! Get yourself over here and see how delicious vegan food can be.

Filling and delicious! A lot of dishes I haven’t had since I went vegan (such as crispy duck) and Xu’s Cooking did not disappoint. All the mock meat dishes had a very chewy meaty texture and were perfectly seasoned and the vegetable wok dishes felt fresh and not over cooked nor too oily. So happy to find an authentic Chinese restaurant that’s almost 100% vegan (a few dishes are vegetarian) with such excellent and generous service. A must eat if you’re in Vienna!

Really tasty vegetarian and vegan food. They have a huge variety of different dishes and they are all delicious. Don't be fooled by "chicken", "duck" or "various meats", every dish is either vegan or vegetarian.

So amazing to be able to order anything on the menu in an Asian restaurant. As a vegetarian, you generally have 2 or 3 dishes to choose from : "Fried noodles with vegetables" or "rice and vegetables", if you're lucky, a tofu dish, so to be able to taste all the different sauces is a wonderful experience! I highly recommend this experience if you are vegetarian or vegan 👍

Really happy that there is a great Chinese vegetarian restaurant here in Vienna. We took their buffet lunch and price is not expensive at all with quite a variety choices of veggie meals you can take. Taste is awesome and staff here is very attentive and rendered their good services to all the customers. BTW, thank you for the free tea as well.

Get your pants, forget the belt and eat til you drop. I had heard of this place and i always pushed it off. Now that I've eaten here I'll be coming back whenever i can. The food is beyond amazing. Good food for a fair price but the best thing was the service! So kind and loving, they went above and beyond. I asked for a portion of their dessert to go and they gave me what looked like 5 portions without adding any extra cost. After we tipped they were so thankful that they even gave us some wine on the house. Feels like you’re at your mom’s house :) would definitely come again!

Food poisoning, because my mothers is vegetarian so i find this Restaurant in Google with very good Review. So we had dinner here last evening to celebrate mother's birthday. However, at night our whole family members have Collective food poisoning, vomiting and diarrhea all night. With lucky my baby is still young can not eat the regular food, she didn't get food poison, otherwise i will sue them. Nerver go here again, and not recommend others to go with life-threatening.

Xu‘s Cooking war die vier Tage in Wien jeden Tag unser Highlight. Dort durften wir allerlei vegetarische und vegane Spezialitäten ausprobieren, die uns jedes Mal vom Hocker hauten. So tolle und geschmacklich gute, von der Konsistenz dem Original ähnelnde, Fleischalternativen habe ich noch nie gegessen. Nach jedem Essen gab es noch Nachtisch und einen lieblichen Wein-Absacker gratis dazu. Der Service ist klasse, die Wartezeit gering, und die Qualität spitze. Auch das Buffet ist eine tolle Gelegenheit die Vielfalt dieser Küche in einer Mahlzeit zu genießen. Lasst euch von meinen Bildern inspirieren und testet bitte diese Spitzenküche!

Sehr große Auswahl, jedoch sind nur ein paar Gerichte wirklich empfehlenswert. Zb das vegane Rindfleisch mit Wasserspinat oder das gebratene Huhn. Wünschenswert wäre weniger Auswahl dafür etwas besser gewürzte, verfeinerte Soßen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Charmantes und gemütliches Ambiente und auch tolle Nachspeisen.

Ein gutes klassisches chinesisches Restaurant nur, dass es ganz ohne Fleisch auskommt! Das Beste daran ist, dass man das Fleisch gar nicht vermisst. Alles schmeckt sehr gut und es kommen Kindheitserinnerungen auf, eben nur alles vegetarisch (und vieles auch vegan). Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Best food we had on a 10 day, 4 country trip. The dishes here are extremely generous and the waitresses even more so! I’ve never been to a vegetarian Chinese restaurant and now feel so jealous that I don’t have a Xu’s in my city. The platter for 2 is way bigger than what we anticipated! Food for the lunch buffet was very good actually. But... The advertised price is 11.90euro per person and the 2 of us were charged 30euro. They kept asking us for cash, we didn't have any, and their credit card machine wasn't working. She kept asking us to look for cash as if we were hiding our cash. My credit card went thru but got refunded so it does actually work I think. So my partner had to run out to find an ATM, except they were either out of order or closed since it was Sunday. It took us an hour to try to pay. Food was good but overall it was a really unpleasant experience. If you don't want to take credit card, don't put huge Visa and MasterCard stickers on the outside window.

A neat simple vegetarian restaurant with a nice bamboo garden. We came for dinner and ordered the menu for 3 persons, costing €16,90 per head. The menu consists of soup(miso or Sichuan), appetizer, main course -6 different dishes(small) with rice and lastly a dessert(fruits). The food was presented with care and tasted excellent, except the dessert was really disappointing. The staff were friendly enough and service was prompt. Deserves another chance...

The best food we ate in Vienna, hands down. Excellent service, we were even given a complimentary warming lychee wine after our buffet because it was cold outside - such great staff. If you're vegan or veggie this place is an absolute must, but even if you're not you should go.

Great service, and English menus are available. There are so many amazing things on the menu, it was nearly impossible to pick- we had to go back a second time. We ordered vegan prime rib, and we had vegan chicken legs. They have a veganized version of basically any meat you can imagine (including seafood), it's very interesting to study their menu.
