Another great find in Vienna away from the city center. Tiny little place that can serve only about 12-14 people indoors. Summertime and they have tables outside as well. We have been here twice now, and this time the fish my wife ordered was outstanding !! Crispy, tasty. I only had a snack and it was the crispy pork belly with a slightly spicy sauce and fantastic. The menu is HUGE for a truly tiny place and we can't wait to go back again and work our way through that menu. The trams 5, 33 and 46 get you the closest or just walk ! Only about 15 minutes from the Ring. Also, just about 10 minutes from the U6 at Josefstädterstrasse.

Service was little slow and food was ok, more of a homely cooking than restaurant quality. A little overpriced for what it is😰😓

Great little eatery ... Tasty .. Yes it is a very small place, yes it's not a fancy restaurant but the food is yummy and the service is nice 👍

Delicious food, very friendly staff. The only thing I missed was thai/asian spiciness but it’s generally hard to get in Austria. Generally-recommended! We will for sure come back.

We came back to Mamamon after two years - the Thai food there is still one of the tastiest in Vienna. Many Thailandeze eateries have slowly become Europenised over the years. Not Mamamon. The Restaurant is really small - another reminder of the crowded Bangkok streets. Behind the counter two ladies were cooking at lighting speed the orders that were continuously coming. W had something seasonal and I asked it a bit spicier - and I was lucky the drinks came before. At 29 degrees in the evening, the August Atmosphäre resembles a lot with a Bangkok 🔥 November evening. So did the food. The only small issue was that the portions seemed a tiny bit smaller than we were used...but the incredible rich taste made ia forget this as soon as we started eating.

Very surprised to read reviews of people saying it is very authentic. Probably they never went to Thailand. Worst Pad Thai I have ever eaten. Just sweet, not flavourful...extremely overpriced as well. 13,5 for a small portion. Pad Kra Pao of my husband tasted well, I have to say. Small selection of the menu, which usually is a good sign, but not this time. The service was absolutely great, very friendly. All in all, overhyped at best.

Pad Thai is my favourite dish in the world, so I have tried many.. Mamamon shrimp Pad Thai made me travel back to Thailand: absolutely delicious!! Their homemade iced tea is also worth the try, it’s very refreshing

Inside it is very small but very authentic. Food is good and served almost like in a street food market in Thailand. I think it’s more a north Thai food, but very delicious. Great balance quality and price 👌🏻

Disappointed. Honestly the food is really good! but the portions are very small, "to share dishes" are just for one person, and the main courses are small and leave you hungry, which makes it expensive. The service was so so, fast but with a lack of friendliness- e.g. they remind you that you have to leave by putting the (unrequested) tab on the table. However, the thing that bothered us the most, is that when we called to make a reservation, we were told that reservations were not allowed, then when we arrived at the place, we saw MANY customers who DID have a reservation - very very unfair. Bottomline, even though the quality and taste of the dishes is very good, the cons make not worth it to come back.

Authentic Thai kitchen. Nice outdoor seating. Tends to be spicy. It's certainly super tasty but if you don't like spicy, take care. All dishes were really good and service was helpful at all times.

Nice place, however not really my cup of tea.. My girlfriend was quite satisfied, but my beef "Thaitare" was not good at all.. 3 stars for the place, also for the nice service.

Origin thai restaurant, very small interior, nice terrace, I recommend to make reservation here. Meal is specific, soup was great :)

This place deserves a good reputation for good Thai food, but service is really lacking. I had made a reservation for Saturday night dinner which we were told got "lost in the system" but luckily we were still able to be seated. We ordered two appetizers that came 15 minutes apart, and our 2 mains were served 20 minutes apart, such that we didn't fully eat together to avoid eating a cold meal. Flavor was delicious and staff were kind, but the service is too overwhelmed for the volume of business they get. Reservations were only available by phone which is a shame and the shop is cash only. Overall, good food (great pork belly appetizer) but the lack of enough service and modernity really put a damper on our evening. Not totally the staff's fault, but still a shame.

Went to Mamamon for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised by the selection of drinks and food. They offer Thai mixed drinks and a wide selection of Thai “tapas”, which we liked, because you can try many different things. The staff speaks English only, but they were very attentive. Would go back in a heartbeat :)

The best Thai I've had in Vienna so far. Extremely tasty at fair prices. The place is tiny and a little dingy in a very charming way; whenever I've eaten there, it was always packed to the brim. A small wait is often part of the deal, but certainly worth it. The papaya salad is a standout. There's a spice scale - take it 4 or 5/5 spicy if you can stand it, it's worth it! Their Pad Thai is tasty, too, and I am partial to their homemade Cosmic Fries. Paired with a Thai iced tea or a milk tea, it doesn't get much better.

Little cozy Thai restaurant. Khao soi was surprisingly good, like sooooo good. Well, it might not taste exactly like what we had in Chiang Mai but it was the best we've tried outside Thailand. Beef kaprow with egg was delicious. We also loved the way they served the drinks, very Thai😂 The service was excellent. We didn't know it was cash-only, but all was smoothed over by the nearby ATM and the understanding staff.

Tiny but delightful place! The food is very authentic and service super fast and friendly. Feels a little bit like being in a night market in Thailand.

Shockingly low quality Thai. Curry tasted only of salt , and came already mixed in with the rice. Very dry and bland, not good Thai taste, and it contained potatoes (!) and carrots. The tea was €4,90… this place deserves maybe 3 stars so I have to give it a 1 to bring the average down. Won’t return …

Amazing Thai food! We tried the Sai ua sausage, homemade beef jerky, duck Isaan (spicy) with sticky rice and chicken noodles. Everything was absolutely delicious! The place is really small so it's better to book the table in advance. They were hosting a group of 15 and that meant the whole local was taken :D

Trades on its reputation these days but doesn’t try too hard anymore . kitchen looks a bit burnt out if you take a look. Food good in fairness (but not great). Wine truly execrable. Service fairly indifferent 😏

One of the best Thai Restaurants I have ever been. Food is great and tastes amzing. Fairly small place, but super cozy and authentic. During the summer, be sure to check out the beautiful terrace.

Best Thai in Vienna. You gotta try the Spicy Laab! English and German spoken. Craft beer available 👌

  • 5/5 #Paphos4U C. 2 years ago on Google
This is absolutely authentic must try Thai place. In colder months you'll have to crowd in tiniest interior imaginary, but you really feel like it is right on the busy streets of Bangkok, alas it is on a quiet Viennese street just opposite a secondary school. Cool factor, taste factor, all on point!

Good food with reasonable price. The waiter was too busy so somehow the service was not that good. _(:з」∠)_
