what happened to Vapiano? .. this is the first time I've ever been somewhere where I truly liked nothing! I used to come here regularly for years with friends and with family.. and today was such a horrible experience that we will not be coming again ever! Apart from unsuccessfully waiting 15 minutes for someone to clean one of the 4 empty tables, we had a dirty table for the whole duration of our lunch. I got a tissue and a disinfectant and cleaned our table. The plates and cups were never removed so we were eating next to someone else's leftovers and dirty dishes. I ordered pasta gorgonzola, which as everyone knows is a blue cheese with fragrant flavors. Have a look at the photo of what I received. Pasta with cooking base cream!!! no blue cheese in sight.. it tasted like water! Went to get my replacement where the chef fought with me that this is gorgonzola and what else did I want ... when I got my replacement it was drowning in oil... I still feel nauseous as I am writing this review from home hours later.. still feel the oil in my stomach ... pizza was really NOT enjoyable .... ambience sucked! dirty floors and tables, screaming children running .. I felt like I am at a mall food court .... never again! I used to love this place pre-pandemic..

I don’t remember what was the name of the pasta but it’s so delicious mouth watering with a bit of spicy chili and pine nuts (tomato sauce + cheese) . The pizza was good vig option I highly recommended for Muslims there is too many options

Yesterday I was invited again with some wonderful friend's.we had very nice time.we enjoyed your place again. Food was delicious and the waiters were very friendly and even the people who were cooking too. Hop to go again to vapiano.

Worst vapiano I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to PLENTY!! Rude & unfocused chefs, sticky pasta, and not tasty! Vapiano used to be a safe go-to place especially when we are with the kids. What happened there?

Very beautiful decoration. Cozy, convenient location. Various pasta dishes. Self service but okay. Food was not bad. Good to try. Free WiFi, connect automatically.

Everything in this restaurant is good. But I’ll say the pizza was a bit way too thin. It was thin to the point where it got crunchy and felt like I’m eating a biscuit. But other than that all the other dishes were great! The workers are friendly, especially the Argentinian lady that was working (can’t remember her name) we opened a whole fun conversation while she was cooking that gave me a good impression about the restaurant. The atmosphere was pretty nice as well. But i have a question about the big tables in the restaurant. What are the big metal things in the middleman of the tables? They were kind of annoying as we wanted to share all the food but couldn’t put them in the middle because there was this thing in the middle. We had no use of it.

Casual Italian restaurant to eat pasta and pizza! Not so special, but good enough.

Unique way of service where you receive a card, then scan it at the stations you decide to get food at. They then make the food live in front of you. The food itself was alright, not spectacular but good for the affordable price.

Great place for a nice Italian style meal. The menu offers a wide range of items that are also suitable to those with food allergies or intolerances. Using the vapiano card self-service is easy, you can order drinks and food at the counters and take it to your table. The restaurant itself was located nicely in the center of Vienna and had a great Moulin rouge style ambiance. Food was great, not too expensive, and the staff was very friendly

Horrible service, terrible waiting time, and over all exceptionally bad concept. Who wants to stand up for 45 minutes, while other people order and get their food, before you can even order your own, and then pay an absurd amount for the terrible and boring food and service. The severs has nothing to do but be friendly since the guest are doing their job, and not even that are they able to do. The restaurant is also not very cozy, and you should take your business to another place since the only thing you will get from here is a frown on your face and bad food.

Nice place, serve yourself place. Had tuna pizza which was nice, plenty of tuna. Nothing spectacular but nice. Nice atmosphere, just out table wasn't cleared before we sat down and remained uncleared all through our meal which is the primary reason for 4 stars.

CHEAP AND EASY ITALIAN FOOD I had a great time customizing my pasta dish here. It was a relaxed atmosphere and it felt very family-oriented. I would recommend this to anyone that wants American-style food customization.

I visited this place during December 2022 as it had good ratings and reviews. I totally love the idea of live Counter as it allows us to customise the food according to one’s preference but I was disappointed as I had to wait in a queue for around 1.5 hours for my pasta! And by that time most of the Pasta types were already over and I had to just choose what was remaining. The pasta was good but a bit dry. The pizza with burata was okay. My feedback would be to bring in more counters for pasta to avoid the overcrowding and wait time! Kudos to the staff for being helpful.

In terms of its affordability, the dish I had, "crema di funghi" and the drink “Hugo” spritz, was remarkably delicious. However, my friends, who ordered two pizzas for four individuals, found that the pizzas were too large and could not finish them. Nonetheless, I would have anticipated the pasta to possess a creamier texture.

I loved this place for multiple reasons. First and foremost, they had a really good no-cheese, gluten-free, thin crust pizza that was well made. I like their atmosphere and the interesting ordering mechanism as well as having them cook your food with some instructions. Also that they keep the condiments including chilli, oregano, olive oil etc easily accessible.

The restaurant is good overall. The food tasted nice but the pizza was overcooked. The location is nice!

The gluten free pizza was so good that I was terrified it was just regular pizza. But I had zero reaction, so it was just really, really good gluten free pizza! My colleague also loved the pizza and pasta she had. 100% recommend.

We were here during a sunday rush hour but only one Counter was open, including the antipasta sections. We waited around an hour and the food does not worth it. Don’t go there.

Visited the restaurant after seeing great reviews. However, the place offers zero service. You have to stand in different queues to place an order for different dishes. The cook and the cashier is the same, so expect to wait 10-15 min at least in all queues. This would still have been fine if the food was good. We skipped pasta as the queue was terribly long. The pizza we ordered was horrible, stiff & chewy base with excessively grilled cheese on top. Would suggest to avoid the place altogether.

By far my favorite eating place. My favorite dish is the Pollo Picante (check out the attached image). Also, their own cranberry purple tea is divine! I recommend this place anytime and anywhere on this earth. Also, they have gluten-free option dishes.

Be careful with lady at the counter she likes to charge you more, very bad attitude from her side she shouldn’t work at the counter ever. I was trying to explain to her she is duplicating the invoice but she didn’t care. Only when they gentleman came and solved the issue. Will never repeat the visit. 30 May 2022.

The staff was really helpful about explaining the process of ordering there. I originally wanted to eat pizza but they told me it wasn't available at the time which was a little disappointing. I had the vegetarian Aribiatta and the Vapiano Spritz. The pasta was fine but a little sticky. Maybe I let it sit too long before I ate it. Anyways it had nice flavor. And the spritz was very tasty. They have a few options for outdoor dining at this location which is beautiful.

We had a great pizza here, wherever we are Vapiano is always a good choice if you want a great Italian food 😉 we love the fresh basils on the table.

We had a decent meal, staff were friendly, ambience was fine. Nothing memorable hence the 3 stars - would have preferred to receive a buzzer so I wouldn’t have to wait for the order to get ready while standing in front of the chef.

The man in the entrance was nice and explained the concept perfectly. We got 5 cards, each of us went to his/her line and ordered. The kids were extatic to order alone. Food was tasty not expensive, the place is clean and the staff is polite and fast to serve. Will be back..

My friends and I enjoyed our meals at Vapiano! Reasonably priced and Good portion size. Vegan options are available. Their self service concept with the electronic card is interesting ! Food was prepared very fast !

Vaccination, pcr or antigen tests certificates needed. You can order for take away when none of the above. Tasty food and warm atmosphere. Attitude towards English speakers was rude except on the reception. Receptionists were very polite.

Nice place for a quick meal, good range of options and personalization, allowing for most allergies or diets to be catered to. The ordering system can be a bit confusing, specially if it's your first time, so do not hesitate to ask the staff for help. Food was very tasty and prepared quickly, would definitely recommend.

Upstair interior is nice . Food is good If there are waiters it will be much better not to wait on queue

The girls in reception was incredibly nice and prepared in many languages, love them! The interior look is elegant and beautiful. Everything was okay but the chef's humor! They have gluten free pizza but is more expensive than normal one and smaller, not so good I think.
