I was walking down Favoritenstrasse, and I’ve found a huge line of people waiting to enter Ferhat. So I thought to give it a try. After waiting for 15 minutes in line, I finally made my order. I have to say that this is now the most expensive Kebab that I’ve ever eaten so far. For 240g (large one) Kebab I’ve paid 11.20 EUR. Yes, it might sound expensive but trust me, it's worth every cent. Meat is cooked on coal, which gives a fantastic taste to it. Their lavash (flatbread) is also made in front of you. When they will ask you what you would like to have it, say with everything. The combination of greenery, sauces, meat, and flatbread makes it very delicious. So if you ever come to Vienna, this place is a MUST!

Bonjour tout le monde, Evitez vous toute simplement. The lady at the cash register speaks no English, no French, no Arabic. 50% of your clientele are tourists and you put someone rude at the cash?! You do not bark at customers or give them attitude. On n’est pas au Moyen-Orient ici. Ou peut-etre on l’est. 🤷🏾‍♂️ The food is nothing to write home about. The “recommended” item - large doner - with 180g of meat is 8.10 EUR and the bread is nothing special. The salad choice is limited. The only thing going for them is that meat is not overcooked. That’s about it. Il n’y a pas de place pour s’asseoir. Toujours une grande fille d’attente. Première et dernière fois - dunno how it has a high rating on GMaps.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Vienna. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Vienna. Highly recommend!

The food looked super delicious and appealing, I was super excited to try it after the long queue that passed 1 hr in the cold weather, but unfortunately when I reached the cashier, I was surprised that they take Cash Only! (No Credit Card) especially that the store is not that small compared to the other places. I wish if it was written somewhere so people will not waste their time, especially if there was tourists or visitors from outside the region. This was the only time that I was asked to pay by cash during my whole staying in Vienna.

For me the best doner in Vienna. Durum is freshly baked over fire, super delicate. Perfect companion for the meat. Proper sizes. You can choose from 120,180,240g of meat. 180 is a good starting point.

Famous kebab place near Vienna station. Super popular though so there's always a line, but it only took about 10 minutes for us. The Doner sandwich was epic, decent amount of fillings and great meat. The Durum was just okay, but nothing that great. Great value for money here.

Don’t be scared by the line! This kebab spot is worth the 20-30min wait around lunchtime. The tomatoes are fresh, the beef is high quality, and even the dough for the dürüm is made fresh on the spot. Prices are very reasonable, with a sandwich or wrap with 120g meat at €5.90.

A Gem for Kebap Lovers in Vienna Nestled near Keplerplatz U1 in Vienna's 1100 district, Ferhat Döner stands as a testament to authentic Kebap craftsmanship. The spacious venue, boasting four charcoal grills capable of handling massive skewers, immediately sets the tone for an exceptional culinary experience. What truly sets Ferhat apart is their dedication to the art of Kebap. Unlike many eateries that diversify their menu, Ferhat focuses solely on Kebap-related dishes. This singularity of purpose is not just a business strategy; it's a declaration of their belief in and commitment to their product. Their skewers are homemade, a rarity in the fast-food world, and it’s this attention to detail that, for me, positions Ferhat among the top, if not the best, Kebap spots in Vienna. The meat served here is succulent and grilled to perfection, a feat achieved through skillful use of their charcoal grills. The sides are of top quality, complementing the main dish without overshadowing it. Moreover, Ferhat's approach to sauces is refreshingly simple, focusing on the essence of Kebap rather than masking it under an array of condiments. Despite often having a queue, the service is consistently swift, a mark of their efficiency and customer care. Their homemade Ayran is the cherry on top – a refreshing drink that pairs perfectly with their dishes. Price-wise, Ferhat Döner hits the sweet spot for the quality offered. For anyone seeking an authentic Kebap experience in Vienna, Ferhat is a must-try. This is not just a recommendation; it's a testament to my repeated visits and the consistent quality they deliver. Ferhat Döner is more than a restaurant; it's a culinary journey worth experiencing time and again.

Hearing the hype, I was expecting more. There are different size of meat portions available. I did not taste the wooden fire used to cook the meat and the whole sandwich is just not juicy or tasteful enough. First time I tried the Döner (wrap) second time I went for the sandwich (the roll was fresh and crispy) same average experience. The service is friendly, reasonable prices only cash is accepted. You can order for take away and there are indoor and outdoor seatings.

A must-try! We ordered both Döner Sandwich and Dürüm (120g) and we enjoyed them very much. The 2 döner were stuffed generously with plenty of ingredients on top of the meat. The meat is 100% halal beef and was extremely tender and flavorful. We asked for a light amount of sauce so it would not overshadow the taste of the meat. People are kind and service is quite fast in spite of the wait.

The meat is charred on the outside and tender on the inside. The bread is amazingly fluffly and the salads very fresh. Best quality döner i've had!

Kebabs have an image of fast turnover, but there is always a line there. I don’t think the staff was very efficient. It is one of the best kebabs I have had in many countries. However, if you want to eat meaty kebabs, you should a large. We ordered a small, which we enjoyed because it has a variety of vegetables and the dressing was so delicious!!

They are too slow in service. We entered to queue around 8:20 and waited about 50 mins. And unfortunately it is not the best döner in the world but it might br top 10 in europe. If you cannot travel to Turkei you can give a chance to Ferhat Döner.

All is fresh, home-made and tasty. Prices go up to 10€ per person. The only downside is you need to wait. We waited about 35 minutes.

As expected, the waiting time lived up to its expectations. Although i really wanted a dürüm, they did not have the type of bread anymore. As also other reviews stated, there is a waiting line (Waited around 30 minutes). Prices are on the steep side as i do think it‘s one of the most expensive in town. But it‘s worth it. Liked it a lot. For sure will return.

If you are expecting a traditional kebab it is kind of disappointing but if you think it more as a sandwich it's really good. The flavor of the meat is really tasty. However, i do feel it's s little more expensive than what I expected. And one important detail to know before going JUST CASH

Hand made food, real fire and ingredients, long queue but fast moving, warm meat and wrap but cold additions, overall- good döner, just good. Respect for the people working there;)

I went to have a quick bite and wanted a good durum from a place that was clean and well maintained! Overall I felt it is over rated but maybe because I’m not a big fan for meat Very kind and they're open until late, so give it a try!

The kebab was tasty; however, the system they are using seems faulty. Perhaps that's a reason for the long queues. You get asked the same thing by different workers. In the end, the order was wrong; I received one portion of fries instead of two. I had to wait for the second one, and then it was given to a guy behind me. The workers seem more occupied cracking jokes among themselves than ensuring good service.

Always seems to be a long line here although plenty of other similar kebab-type places around. Reason seems to be the meat is flame grilled with wood fire, with good quality meat. Certainly has a different (great) flavour. Maybe as it was evening could only get sandwich, no flatbread or salad plate options left. About 10min wait but worth it

The doner was amazing, even better than the ones in Turkey. The vibe was nice, customer service was great. Very cool and recommended

Unnecessary long queue for an ordinary doner. I waited in a queue for half an hour for a small doner wrap, for €5.8. Its was good to be fair but not astonishing and its probably overarted localy.

It was a tasty durum, but it was cold. The meat was a little warm, but they didnt grill the durum wrap at all, so the cold vegetables made all the dish cold. If it was hot it would be very good

Best Döner in town, all ingridients fresh, Steak meat used for the Döner and grilled with a grill with woods on open fire…..excellent döner amazing test…but a waiting time of appr. 30 min has to be considered

  • 4/5 Doroteja M. 9 months ago on Google
Can’t really say anything bad about the place or the food itself, everything is fresh and homemade, highly appreciate that. However, I just think it’s a matter of taste and preferences. We tried the dürum and it was tasty but what bothered me is that the meat was somehow thicker and chewier than what I expected and it was kinda missing those crispy bits that it usually gets from the fire pit… considering it’s a very popular place, I was really hyped to try it and it ultimately ended up in being a bit disappointed. Also had to wait around 40min since the place is so popular, but in the end it’s not something I would do again.. if less crowded maybe I‘d give it another chance :)

When here before a concert in Vienna. I’ve actually times for how long we stayed in line and in the end it was 36min. I do have the to say the staff was not wasting any time serving even 3-4 people at the same time. Once we ordered I understood why everyone wants to eat there! Incredibly good food! We have the durum doner and I was surprised to see the durum is actually made on the spot! Really good meat and great sides to it! Definitely worth the wait ❤️
