A lil pricy, food is just okay but most importantly the service is bad. I don’t usually give bad reviews but this is one of it. Service: a man clearly in charge of that area was is a really rush impatient state. He asked all the tables around if anyone want coffee and when it’s our table he skipped us and asked someone beside first then only came back to us. Then, another Asian family came and trying to ask if it’s beef or pork soup and he didn’t seem to quite understand the question and simply answer then turn to another table. Then we ordered 1 Nockrel but he serve 2 and insisted we ordered 2. Don’t get lured by the review. They do have huge space to accommodate groups of people but nay, not worth the try given that service.

The restaurant is very old and full of history. The interior design is amazing and impressive. The food is incredibly delicious! The waiter is very attentive and polite, and it is clear to see that they are trained very well and very professional. Everything here is great, and I highly recommend it to tourists, and it is also a shop worthy of revisit!

We had breakfast here twice during our stay in Vienna. The first time, the waiter we had (Andreas) was wonderful; attentive and friendly. The second time, a different waiter, the service was not as friendly and a bit indifferent. Still acceptable but not as welcoming. Both times, the food was excellent. They have gluten free options and I have to say the almond coffee sponge cake is TO DIE FOR. Best gluten free cake I have ever had. Definitely worth a visit on your next trip to Venice.

A place that can be defined as a tourist trap (expected). High prices, long queue to go inside, good cakes but service below expectations. The kaisersmarren were great but definitely overpriced (>12€). I would not suggest it especially if there is a queue, not worth it IMHO.

I heard a lot of recommendations about this place, but I was not impressed when I got here. It did not feel like a place one can enjoy dining at. The pastries and coffee are ok.

Location of the Cafe house is great. We ordered some traditional deserts, coffee and hot chocolate. Coffee was great. But.. Let's say I had much better deserts from the one we got. The deserts plate presentation was nice but it wasn't tasty. Service was fast but our waitress was unpleasant. I guess you can find better Cafe in Vienna.

Typical Viennese cafe house, classy interior and refreshing outdoor seatings when weather allows it, Turkish coffee is tasty, the cake is average and staff is helpful. Overall decent experience.

Great and hospitable staff and restaurant. On a great location in Vienna. Lovely food for fair prices, although some of the drinks (e.g. a simple coffee) can be relatively expensive. The pumpkin risotto and side salad I had tasted amazing.

Lovely Cafе in the middle of Vienna. One of the places that work late. Very tasty cakes and wonderful coffee. Prices are above average but taking into account location of the cafe it was okay. Also want to highlight the interior that was very nice.

Decent coffee but not the best, food was good. The waiter was a bit rude because I don’t speak German even though I just was trying to order without being disrespectful since I know they are not obligated to know English but at least they could be nice to tourists

Memorable tea break in a cosy but extremely busy cafe. Cakes and tarts were excellent, as were coffee and hot chocolate. Service was extremely friendly too!

We had a coffee and cake date in here. The service was really good and our coffee and cake were fantastic. We had about a 20minute wait to get to the front of the queue. It is an extremely busy cafe but the quality didn't drop because of it.

We were going to another restaurant but after walking by Cafe Mozart decided to have our Christmas dinner there. It was a great decision! Our server David was great, his attention to detail while setting the table and silverware, helping with selection and always making sure everything was OK, is an example of how to give a 5 stars dinner experience. The food and desserts were delicious and the price unbeatable for the quality of food and service you receive.

Very old fashioned cafe house. Our server is a very calm well-dressed senior man, rarely smile, very serious, making me wonder that he’s actually the owner of the coffee house. Food was good, sacher torte on the dryer side, orange juice was served in a shot glass which costed 5 euros. Emperor’s pancake was very delicious. Atmosphere was classic. One star taken as everything is unnecessarily overpriced.

Pastry and iscoffee was good and restaurant was beautiful and nice location. Just too much people and staffs look stressful. I didn't feel to enjoy sitting there. Feel like fastfood restaurant, eat and go though price is not fastfood. There were some vacant table but we needed to wait for almost 10min. Many staffs were there but nobody said anything. It was same situation at other cafe in city center but staff greeted us while they run. Last time I was here, it was much better. No cue and staffs were very friendly. Everybody was reluxed. I think I was there very bad timing in this time.

Had a Viennese breakfast. 1 roll+1 brown bread with butter &jam + 1 boiled egg. The drinks are extra. The bread & jam were very tasty. The bread comes from Offert bio bakery and was really good. There are not so many people in the morning so you can have a nice quiet breakfast time there. Nice breakfast place for me in Vienna.

This is such a lovely cafe! We ate here 2 times in 2 days! Once for a full meal and another for desserts. Very cozy! Excellent food! I had venison stew (the dumplings were gluten free) and it was quite delicious!

An old fashion place with fantastic but very expensive menu. We took a Sacher Torte and a Kaiserschmarrn cake, both delicious. Polite personel and quick service. I definitely recommend this place while u visit Vienna.

Nice place for lunch, and beers! Great location, with lots of outdoor seats in the center of town. We had the salad w/grilled chicken and the sausage platter. The sausages were perfectly cooked with that great snap! Very flavorful, with a good kick of garlic. Chicken was nicely cooked, juicy, not rubbery like a lot of chicken can be. Dessert was the 3 layer cake, suggested by the waiter. Great reco, it was awesome!

Good foods, and we fortunately did not catch a long queue, just a third in line. I likey like the apple strudel with vanilla sauce, it is tender, juicy and not too sweet as I thought it would be, which is good. The restaurant has a classic interior, we're handled with a good service. It is located close to the backside of the Vienna opera, Wiener Staatsoper, and it is pretty easily accessible by public transportation.

Many online guides recommends this place. Be prepared to wait outside 20-30 minutes to get in. I don’t usually write reviews when I have a bad experience but i felt the need this time as this is a renowned place. Our biggest mistake was to come with high expectations which were far from being reached as we were rather disappointed. We thought the service was extremely slow. Having to keep looking for an available waiter to order while others arrived well after us and were treated more efficiently. It might have been because we were sitting in a corner and difficult to be seen by the staff. Anyways, the wait was long for every steps. The cakes were alright but as I said earlier we came with high expectations. However the worse part was finding a very nasty hair in the apple strudel we ordered. I’m very to say, but we overall felt ripped off completely by the service and quality for what we paid for. Really disappointed.

They completely forgot part of our order. The first time we asked why it is being delayed, they were even rude enough to ask us to wait some more. No apology or anything. I guess it's a thing here in Vienna for every restaurant and cafe to forget part of the order. Oh and the "hot chocolate" we were served, was barely warm.

Service was fast, our waiter answered my questions and was patient when I needed a couple extra minutes to decide. I went with the Full English Breakfast. It did not disappoint. The hubster had bacon and eggs with buttered roll and the kiddos had crepes with chocolate syrup. If you're ever in Vienna, Café Mozart is a must!

Very nice interior and definitely great location. Due to the large number of guests, you can't call it a cozy place. It is more important for the staff not to have a high level of service, but simply to serve the largest number of people. They take all the cakes by hand and put them on a plate. Yes, they are wrapped by plastic on the sides, but this is unacceptable! Give the staff gloves!

Classic, traditional, comfy 🥰 If you are in Vienna, it’s worth visiting. But only one time. They don't have soy/oat/lactose-free milk or vegan desserts. Also, the food and drinks are pretty unhealthy and have a lot of sugar. That’s why I’m more a fan of modern Viennese bakeries and cafés 🧁☕️

A very atmospheric place where, upon entering, you can feel like you've been transported back in time. Moreover, there is a wide selection of cakes and beverages. Excellent food all around ... Started off thinking they only had coffee and desserts 🍨 but found out they had a dinner menu 😋 Had the ham pasta which I've never had before, just exceptional 👌 the creamy wild galic soup rocked, and the apple strudel was so awesome. Finished off with Irish coffee that was spot on ... Recommend to anyone ... Traveling on a river cruise and loving the sampling of different countries for 15 days. Vienna was everything I expected and more ...

Good atmosphere but no goose bumps effect here. Failed the Spritz test, no bubbles from good prosecco, almost no ice, and pseudo Aperol in it. That defines it as a tourist trap. Our group ordered the usual schnitzel and goulash. Nothing special. The sweets looked like the typical stuff you would get in a pastry shop in Florida.

  • 4/5 Nienke V. 5 months ago on Google
For a 'tourist trap' sort of cafe it's not bad at all. Staff are friendly and helpful, specifically the lady who served us. The food is okay but a bit overpriced. However, given the location that is understandable. Atmosphere is nice and makes it worth paying a visit if you're in the neighbourhood.

While the atmosphere and service at this establishment were satisfactory, with attentive and welcoming waitstaff contributing to a pleasant experience, the same cannot be said for the culinary offerings. Our choice of beverages, hot chocolate and green tea, presented a stark contrast in quality. Unfortunately, the hot chocolate fell short of expectations, leaving much to be desired in terms of taste. This disappointment extended to the accompanying cake, the name of which escapes my memory, as it failed to meet anticipated standards. The disparity between the positive ambiance and service and the subpar flavors underscored the inconsistency in the overall dining experience. It's regrettable when the potential for a delightful meal is not fully realized, highlighting the importance of harmonizing both service and taste to create a truly exceptional culinary journey. Here's to hoping for improvements that align with the welcoming atmosphere this establishment offers. ☕🍰🌆

The chestnut cake was very delicious. The sacher torte and apple strudel were disappointing. The service was quite horrible. The waiter didn't make eye contact at all and when we pointed to the item on the menu, he refused to look up from his notepad and forced us to try to pronounce the food name. I'd recommend getting takeaway if anyone really wants to try.

We went there for traditional warm apple Strudel and we are really satisfied with our decision! So nice place. Despite there was a big queue (it was snowing outside), staff was acting so quickly, taking care on each table and this process was also nice to see. They are super nice and friendly. Apple Strudel is the desert you should taste in Vienna definitely and I recommend this place for this!⭐️ Atmosphere is so nice and prices are affordable ⭐️
