We came for brunch on a Saturday and we got a table right away. We chose this place as our only cafe experience in Vienna. We were looking for somewhere affordable and with good service (since we had heard so many horror stories regarding pricey and mean cafe's). This place was perfect. We ordered the Iced Viennese cafe (6,40), savoy burger (5,30), lachsfruhstuck (marinated salmon with toast and horseradish) (8,60), Einspanner (4,20) and apple strudel. Everything was good and well priced. The marined salmon in particular was our favourite. It came with toast and went so well with the horseradish. The Einspanner may just look like whipped cream but it tasted so good. Very sinful. But good. The burger was also the perfect breakfast item. We ended with the apple strudel. The server recommended we get it with the sauce and we did. The apple strudel itself isn't very sweet so if you want something sweeter you should definitely get it with the sauce. If you prefer it not as sweet, don't get it with the sauce. The service was super nice and fast. They answered all our questions and were patient with us. The interior was also really beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place for the food and the atmosphere

This place is probably a LGBT friendly place as there a rainbow flag hanging inside the restaurant. The place was a little messy as some patrons leave their tables to have a smoke outside and their tables seemed vacant to some other people like me. And there no one to guide us to a table so it is like one look for his own table. Also, we had our orders taken correctly but were served the wrong food. Only 2 waiters serving about close to 60 to 70 patrons. That aside, the food was great though. The Wiener Schnitzel was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Their Viennese Iced Coffee was one of the better ones we have tried in Vienna so far.

Short Trip to Vienna, Once we found this place we never had breakfast anywhere else. Never seems to disappoint. Food is delicious and the coffee is out of this world. Such a nice relaxing place full of locals, watching the Vienna life go by. Will be back again for sure.

If you are in Vienna - it is a good idea to visit this place. Tasty breakfast, aromatic coffee. 🥖☕ For me, a slightly Parisian atmosphere. Though perhaps precisely Viennese. #loveit

It's one of my favorite Café in Vienna to have a nice Melange with Cake or a Beer with friends. LGBTQI+ friendly and royal decor. I feel like a true king!. Try to make a reservation, since it's quite full all the time and the waiting for table can take up to 1 hour.

Great food! Amazing service from Nick. I honestly did not know what to expect from this place - I thought maybe a touristy place for a cold beer. I was wrong! Tons of friendly locals, delicious Schnitzel!!, great wine menu and the best part was my waiter named Nick (the guy with the cool tattoos). He really cared that I had a good experience, let me take my time deciding, asked about my trip. Vienna can be a cold and lonely place but Nick made me feel like the cafe was my home away from home. Love this place !

Interesting interior with a cosy atmosphere. Very relaxing place to have a coffee. In my opinion the coffee here tastes better than at other popular Cafes in the 1st District.

Cozy café-restaurant where you can enjoy a coffee, a dessert or have a full meal if you wish. Friendly waiters, delicious apfelstrudel (the vanilla sauce is one of the best I’ve eaten, it’s a must-try), but the best thing about this place is the decor and inside architecture which is just stunning. One of the most beautiful cafés in Vienna.

Horrible food. The beef soup tasted of nothing and was served without bread. My partner ordered wiener schnitzel but was told that they only had chicken left - which when it was served was dry and without any taste. My pasta with salmon consisted of 1 liter cream and some pasta. Dont know how the salmon tasted - l never found any of it.

Beautiful cafe in Vienna, I dare to say the most beautiful one. Great architecture and full of history. Staff is very friendly and professional. A place you can’t miss while visiting Vienna. Just choose a table by the window, ask for a drink and watch life pass by. Great place for a beer at night. Totally recommend the place.

Pleasant service and nice time spent at this café. It has a nice winter light coming through the windows in the mid later afternoon in winter. An LGBT friendly institution.

This place was good, if you’re looking exceptional, this isn’t it. Managed your expectations and you won’t be disappointed. There is a cloak/coat service on welcome but that’s it. Table is really underwhelming, table not actually set and food if delivery in a tray and left there, might be cultural differences/expectations, overall, food, service and atmosphere are all just good and absolutely nothing special. I would recommend for a regular brunch date

Great neighbourhood Café full of character. Good value for money, Schnitzel was generous and flavoursome. Potato salad was excellent. Staff efficient and friendly great option when visiting the market.

One of my favourite places in Vienna for 30 years. The place got extended and is now more popular than ever which makes it difficult to get a table sometimes. I love the vibe and the street and the open view in the sunset.

Packed on Saturdays by flea market visitors, the rest of the week best LGBT- place in town.

Update after several months: this guy was fired I hope, and today’s service was simply outstanding. Thank you! Very bad and rude waiter, the bald one with tattoos. Impolite and totally unprofessional. He brought us the drinks different from those that we ordered, and after we had let him know about that his face was expressing a deep disgust. The previous experience was positive though.

Service can be a bit slow when they’re super busy, but they’re busy for a good reason. Great food, crowd, and vibe.

Lovely waiters but they're totally rushed off their feet, because of this, service is a bit slow. The food was fine and so were the prices. It's LGBTQ+ which is a huge bonus. Please, do your staff a favour and hire more people, either that or reduce the amount of seating so that they aren't overloaded with work.

Omg!❤️ During our trip to Vienna this place had become our favorite place in Vienna! Amazing interior, combination of modern and old, the best beer in the city! On Friday evening there were so different people inside: from students to older people and it was amazing vibe there. The huge mirror on the wall make this all a bit surrealistic 😍

Great ambiance, the music was just right, not too loud but also could still hear it. Comfortable seating, cozy lighting, good service. Food was nice, the chicken was good but we didn’t like the fish. It tasted stale, cooked without any spice and the potatoes were seasoned but didn’t taste like anything.

Friendly & nice staff, always delicious food, best gulash, schnitzle and viennese beef. Beer and caffee was also good. We always like to come back 🙃

Nice place at the heart of Vienna. The service was nice and fast, the inside of the place is beautiful. The prices are avarage. We had a really good time there. The zacher cake wasn't the best quality thou, but I still recommend if you'd like to drink something!

While the service was nice, we came here for some top cake.. Alas, the cakes were SO disappointing. Boring flavor, it's as if the customers are taken for granted. Skip this overhyped place and go to McCafe instead, they are way better.

Amazing food, decor right next to the Naschmarkt. Inside are the largest wall mirrors I have ever seen... can not imagine how they were able to bring in and mount them on the walls - so big you don't notice the frame.

Poor service, took a really long time, asked for a soft boiled egg, got one that wasn’t boiled at all, so asked for a new one and then didn’t get another one for 30 minutes, so we left. “Freshly squeezed orange juice” was clearly from a bottle. We still left a tip and waiter didn’t even say thank you. Would not recommend.
