A wonderful park, very large and beautifully designed! You can easily spend a whole day exploring it, especially considering the cafes in & around the park and the number of themed greenhouses (these do charge an entrance fee). The park encompasses both the Schönbrunn zoo and the palace itself, both of which are worth a visit. Don't expect you'll be able to do the park, zoo, and palace all in one day, though!

I didn’t pay to get into the palace, zoo, gardens, or beach club, but most of the park is free for hiking and sight seeing other historical buildings. The hiking trails are actually legit. BEAUTIFUL park overall. Not surprising considering it’s history and current upkeep.

The biggest park I've ever been to. Amazing and spectacular place. I recommend to visit. When you are here, visit the zoo and greenhouse that is inside this park. However, it is necessary to pay the entrance fee, but both of these places are perfect. All this will take you almost all day. The most beautiful part is probably the Japanese garden, so be sure to visit it. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

A great open space for a walk. We went in winter, so we did not get the beauty of everything in bloom, but it was still very nice.

Truly breathtaking landscape surrounding beautiful structures with the Palace being the main event and the Neptune Fountain across from it. Standouts are the zoo with pandas and other unique animals. It is small but Mighty and my kids especially liked the Tirol house at the very top of the hill with the animals you could pet. Also the Palm greenhouse is really wonderful. The labrynth maze experience is especially fun. Definitely worth the price of admission. A wonderful place to spend a few days bouncing between activities and quiet moments.

Very beautiful place to spend some time with friends and family. A small hike to the cafe on hill which is so beautiful and the architecture of the cafe and interior is very antique and marvelous. Food is also nice you can have some wine beer too. Or sit outside on grass and have some relaxing time. There is a zoo also and toy train.

The gardens of the palace are free to visit and are really huge. You can walk up to the hill to take some good photo of the castle with the city in the background. There are also little monument, statues and fountains scattered across all the gardens. Take your time for a generous walk and explore the place.

The Palmenhaus is so beautiful! You find many exotic plants. I love the construction of the building. The deserthaus best in combination with the Palmenhaus, otherwise to expensive. Some beautiful cacti and cute animals. But in 30 minutes you have seen everything.

Lovely experience. You can travel in time to see how this monarchy used to live their summer. You can also see a great part of Vienna from up high.

Even on a hot day the park and surrounding gardens are gorgeous to visit. For free. Unless you absolutely have to see the inside, most of the gardens and parks, including the Zeus fountain ml can be visited entirely gratis (Austrian word for "free")

Beautiful area to take a walk on a sunny day. There are plenty of rose bushes that bloom in different colors. Different trees give relief from the sun. Palm house building looks stunning, the iron construction is very decorative itself. Also the small plant arrangements are pleasing to the eyes. I highly recommend a short walk towards the Gloriette where one can see beautiful view of the Schonbrunn and the city.

Friendly staff. Helpful. Beautiful park (free of charge). The Private gardens are charged at 9 euro which for the tiny part of land they cover is outrageous. So no need to opt in for that. Wonderful and well maintained palace. Kudos.

This is truly a beautiful palace and entering is very well organized with the audio guide. I loved moving at my own pace and spent about 1.5 hours on the grand tour. The only negatives are I wanted to see more rooms and they need more fans and portable air conditioners during the hot summer. If you could see more it would make the experience more memorable for the magical world the royal family lived in.

When visiting Vienna, we first drove to Schonbrunn. A massive building in yellow extends into a long rectangle. The gardens are magnificent and you have to take a good walk to embrace them. Nice.

A huge place. You can easily spend a day here, exploring the gardens or visiting the other attractions in the grounds. The tour is very interesting, it's a massively opulent residence. Well worth taking the time to visit if you're in Vienna.

A truly amazing place to visit.. although it’s unbelievable to pay such a high ticket to walk through the palace with a recorded message to play for you.. it’s a must see in Vienna! A palace with rich history that will take on every visitor. Take a moment to stroll through the gardens that in my opinion is the palace biggest attraction!

A must visit place when you're in Vienna. It is a too big place that by walking you can easily spend one day here because it has many places to see. If you would like to see view of Vienna then this is the right place in the whole Vienna.

The Schönbrunner Park is a great park to come and spend a day in. Go get lost in the Maze, check out the Zoo, enjoy the different types of exotic plants at the greenhouse and in the desert house, explore the roman ruins, enjoy the many different gardens, or explore the Schönbrunn Palace. The park has lots of public restrooms and plenty of food place options. There is a great view of Vienna from the Gloriette Schloss Schönbrunn. I highly recommend this park to everyone to come and see, the entrance to the park is free. You can easily access the park via public transportations or with car, but parking can be limited in the area if you come later on in the day.

Very worthy of the visit. Vast green spaces, a zoo, the fountains and many many colored flowers. You can just linger on, take a walk and relax from a busy day in the city. A+ rating.

A totally different feel in winter. You won’t get the colours of summer but you get a good perspective of how grand it is. No cameras or photo taking allowed in the palace and I respected that. Wise move honestly because you want to enjoy the splendour of this amazing journey as you walk through the hallways and listen to the audio. Wow! Well crafted and curated tour. I had to wait 1hr 45mins to get into the palace tour but worth the wait. Time flies when you walk around the garden.

Tranquil oasis, perfect for Sunday strolls. Impeccably maintained gardens offer a serene escape. A haven for nature lovers seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city, with never far from sight, the silhouette of the magnificent palace… 💚

Don't miss the breathtaking view from above at Schönbrunn Palace! 🏰 Enter from Hohenbergstraße and take a short 5-minute stroll to revel in the city's splendid panorama. 🌆 Enjoy the unique advantage of a less crowded atmosphere, perfect for a full-fledged photo session. 📸 A must-visit spot that combines history with stunning views!

It's definitely worth a visit. Very beautiful palace, you can really feel what it was like to live there and how being a Hofburg should have been like. As an audio guide is provided, you're able to wonder through the rooms and listen to what they were used for, as well as some art explanations. It took me an hour to see all the rooms. Besides that, the gardens are mostly free and also amazing.

I think this park is very well designed! Perfect for long walks with ladies, mens, or something in between! They allow dogs which is nice, but remember to pick up after them!!! It’s illegal in Austria to leave it on the ground :) The hike up the hill to the Gloriette is wonderful but icy. The only downside is they don’t allow sledding down the hill :( Because of this, I’ve omitted a star. sisi of Austria would not have banned fun at her palace. Austria is but a shadow of their former empire, and this is a sure sign of that.

wow! This were the most amazing gardens I've ever been to. There is just so much to see, we went there for hours and still found more and more interesting little statues or little coves to discover. Definitely worth a visit, even on a rainy day. You can use the free wien city bikes to get there which is really convenient.

A wide huge & spacious historical palace standing since 1569. A highly recommended for those who are interested in real art. If you are willing to visit everything inside, make sure to have enough time for perhaps one day so you will be able to see everything. Great gardens, sculptures, the palace visit was exquisite where you can visit 20 or 40 rooms depends on your ticket purchased at the entrance. Photos are not allowed and even bags. Yet there are lockers outside where the staff will help you to safely keep it there during your tour inside the palace itself. Lots of trees inside of different types, lots of fountains as well, and the most fun part was the maze where you can be lost with your family, children, or partner. The zoo has a different ticket. You can chill inside by eating or drinking or even sit by the decks in the shades. Make sure to have lots of water with you as it is really hot during summer and the walking areas take too long. The Gloriette is a must visit place, as well as the orangery where you get to know different kinds and species of tress from different countries planted there. A highly recommended place to visit while you are in Vienna.

The beautiful space of Schönbrunn Palace Park is great to walk around because of how big it is. The park includes a Zoo, multiple restaurants, monuments, manicured gardens, tree-lined paths and of course the palace beside it. One of the nicest park strolls that I’ve had in a while!

  • 5/5 irina m. 5 months ago on Google
Magnificent, majestic, imperial! Beautiful park and palace. Entry to garden is free, you have to pay to visit the palace and some special zones of the gardens like the zoo or the maze.

  • 5/5 David B. 8 months ago on Google
A great place to visit if you are in Vienna and takes approximately 20 minutes to get there via the U4 U-bahn from the city center. I would recommend buying a combination ticket if you want to see several things. As the individual tickets will cost significantly more. I would definitely recommend a visit, but expect to spend at least half a day there.

  • 5/5 Greg B. 9 months ago on Google
What a place! Wander the beautiful park and grounds for free, with fountains, rose gardens and secret trails that lead in all directions. We enjoyed the shaded small trails and hidden gems. Walk up to the Gloriette for the best vantage and treat yourself to a lemonade. (it is certainly UP). Must see for all who visit Vienna!

  • 5/5 Anna O. 8 months ago on Google
Beautifully kept palace and grounds. Such a pleasure to walk around. The views are spectacular and the four pans plants beautifully kept. There are plenty lovely paths to explore but on a hot sunny day prepare for lots of sun exposure

Wonderful Zoo to visit, the animals have a decent space to live in and seem very well maintained. I would highly recommend visiting! I also enjoyed watching the feeding for the seals and the wolves. You may spend around 3 hours going around the place. Also great for families.

Both the palace and the park are absolutely incredible. The palace's grandeur and the beauty of the park make for a fantastic combination. It's a place where you can admire both stunning architecture and the wonders of nature.

  • 5/5 John T. 5 months ago on Google
The gardens and surrounding offerings are a lovely way to spend a few hours. You can easily spend most of the day there, weather allowing. Avoid the weekends if possible to miss the tourist rush.

This is a MUST in Vienna! Used a whole day here including the zoo. Beautiful view of the city from Gloriette.

It's a must see in Vienna. Well connected with the city centre. It is possible to choose different attractions combined with the palace entrance (Orangerie, Labyrinth, Georgette). The park is really big and plenty of trees and beautiful flowers. The only downside was staff working at the palace. Unfortunately, staff was not friendly at all. It's a pity because if they had been more friendly, the visit would have been perfect.

One of the best outdoor places in Vienna and known worldwide, the Schonbrunn Palace Park is a lovely place to go for a walk on a sunny day. You can visit the Zoo, have a coffee up on the hill at Caffè Gloriette or simply take a walk and enjoy the nature. An overall “Imperial” experience haha.

So much to do here! The palace is grand, exactly what one would expect. The grounds are phenomenal. We took the train around the park and took time out at the Gloriette to take pictures and have lunch. We then walked to the maze/labyrinth area and enjoyed finding the center of the maze and walking two lovely labyrinths. We will be back for the Orangery, other gardens, zoo, and the apple strudel bake.

Superbe landmark, not to miss while in Vienna, a must for tourists or locals. Very well preserved and maintained. I reccommend to book a full day when visiting, în order to see all attractions it has to offer (i.e gardens, La Gloriette, La Orangerie, the Zoo....)

  • 5/5 Monica T. 1 year ago on Google
To visit the palace costs between 20-25 euros, but for a walk through the fairytale gardens you do not pay entrance fee. It's beautiful and if you even want to do some jogging, this place is perfect

The park is huge and beautiful. It has different kinds of flowers. It has a house full of trees but the entry is closed at that time. We can spend some peaceful time there with our friends and family in the evening. The entry is free.

Baroque design garden with grand vistas. Very well maintained. It also incorporates one of the oldest zoos in the world in one section of the garden. The zoo has a very wide variety of birds and animals from polar to tropical environment. These environments are very nicely created on premises. They have a system of offering year long passes to the child and one parent to allow frequent visits. Feeding times of various animals are displayed on the boards outside each enclosure. This helps children schedule their visit to see how they are fed. We saw feeding of seals. That was very nice entertaining experience. Overall it is a good place to visit if you have time in Vienna, particularly during summer season.

  • 5/5 Donna M. 1 year ago on Google
The palace was stunningly beautiful and breathtaking. The grounds and gardens are free to walk, but there is a cost to going inside the palace itself. I went with a bus tour that took us around the city and then gave us a tour of inside the palace. You can tour inside the palace yourself, but I enjoyed having a guide talk about the various rooms. People live in the rooms above the palace, and I think some of them are air bnbs. Definitely go and check this place out.

  • 5/5 Elizabeth G. 1 year ago on Google
Be prepared to walk and be in awe of all the beautiful statues that you will encounter in this magnificent creation! My feet were tired but there is plenty of grass to lay down and relax and few benches here in there. I sure enjoyed the fresh air and all the opportunities for pictures!

Very beautiful place! Well maintained, huge park and gardens, with a lot of different species of trees/ palm trees ( in Orangery ) and Green House. There is also a nice maze where you can try your skills. Beautiful view of the park and city from the top of the park.

Stunning Gardens, we went during winter, but they were still beautiful, and the sun managed to peek out. They must be gorgeous in the summer. The Gardens are a vast space where lots of walking can be done and the scenery is gorgeous!
