We
went
back
to
the
Weiner
Christkindlmarkt
am
Rathausplatzpark
-
the
Vienna
Christmas
Market
in
the
park
by
City
Hall
-
two
evenings
-
one
on
Saturday
to
see
a
weekend
crowd,
and
on
Monday
afternoon
and
evening.
Both
visits
had
the
best
handmade
gifts
and
traditional
food,
as
well
as
ice
skating,
mugs
with
punch,
gingerbread,
decorations,
Christmas
ornaments,
jewelry,
and
artisan
gourmet
items.
Also,
if
you
make
multiple
punch/mug
purchases,
mugs
can
be
returned
to
a
punch
seller
at
that
same
market
on
the
same
day,
and
you
will
get
a
few
euros
back
once
you
return
them.
I
purchased
several
large
decorations,
and
each
was
wrapped
in
flight-friendly
packaging
and
boxed
by
the
seller
for
me,
at
no
extra
cost.
There
are
ATMs
for
cash
Euros,
which
are
needed,
especially
at
food
booths.
The
crowds
were
larger
on
the
weekend,
but
not
bad
-
but
for
sure
the
weekday
crowd
was
lighter.
This
is
a
central
location,
so
transportation
is
manageable.
There
are
free
restrooms
-
WC
-
but
I
paid
a
half-euro
to
ensure
an
attendant
was
cleaning
the
restroom.
Lines
are
not
too
long.
This
market
is
a
must-see
top
10
best!
