Calm and relaxing forest, you can walk around for hours and hours - pure nature, quiet! In the middle there is the Rohrhaus a sweet Austrian Café, good for a Snack, coffee and tasty Austrian cake (Milchrahmstrudel)👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Good connection to public transportation.

This park is more for walking or hiking with a little beautiful palace/house of sisi that frans joseph gave her as a present.viewing only open in summer. Lots of woods and surrounding hills. At the entrance they have a special zone for deers. Eyes only. Next to it a playground for kids and all the rest is green and woods. Easy to get there by bus

It was very nice the trails are clearly marked and on a hot summer day it is very refreshing to go hiking at Lainzer Tiergarten. Some parts are a little bit steep but in general easy to walk. The scenery is nice and there are also deers and fishes to watch. It's definitely worth it to go there for a walk.

The Lainzer Tiergarten was beautiful, lots of flowers and nice walking paths. There's a nice grass field overlooking Vienna city as well. Free to enter. Keep in mind not many places have toilets though - look at the attached map see where they are. 😉

We didn't have that much time to visit the whole park but the nature is beautiful, the buildings are majestic. Unfortunately we didn't see too many animals but we loved the fact that they had loads of space and could choose weather to get close or have their privacy. It's prolly a awesome place to jogg. And if you don't like endless walks it's not the place for you

Such a nice park and the deer 🦌 are adorable. I suggest to spend at least half of the day there. You can pick some grass and feed the deer, go for a nice long walk round the park discovering different species of plants that grow there and have a picnic afterwards.

The best place in Vienna to disconnect and leave the crowded city. It has a park for the little ones to play and even organic products to buy such as honey, fruits, etc. It really deserves to always go and rest there.

Always a great place to go with kids. Personally, I like going there short before closing. Your might see some wild hogs there or deer.

Beautiful place, with lots of space, nice playground for kids and wild life. No dogs allowed. Didn’t see many places for drinking water, food, or bathrooms. (But didn’t look much either)

Best hiking spot in Vienna centre. Great view with very well-paved paths. Easily hiking for 20K or more for a day out. May not be easy to park in the carpark over the weekend so better park further away. No dogs allowed though.

Never expected this much. It was a overwhelming experience. It was afternoon wanted to go some places inside Vienna and searched 'hidden gems in Vienna'. This one popped up. Nice place for hiking and wandering around. The longest walk is around 7.1 km. Must see place If you like nature. We couldn't explore whole maps because of the short time. If you want to cover whole, go early. There is one place called Rohrhouse which has nice view for sunset and another one Wiener Blick where you can see the whole Vienna.

One of the best places in Vienna to chill out. Directly transfer with the bus. Choose line 56 b to go direct from hietzing to lainzer tiergarten. Enjoy the hermesvilla, sit by one coffee there and enjoy the nature. You need to walk inside no car allowed. Outside planty space to park. On weekend sometimes to crowed.

Made just a short walk on a windy winter day, looking forward to making a proper hike through it.

The peace of the nature is disturbed here only by the song of the birds and the chirp of the crickets. Occasionally you can spot a fox or some wild boar. Also they have a few horses. It's really beautiful,no matter that you want to walk the long alleys and meadows or just picnic and relax.

Beautiful forest to have a break from the city. You can walk for hours and have beautiful views over Vienna and the surrounding hills.

It is good for a nice long walk but they don't have so many animals like I was hoping for.

A wonderful place for a walk. It's best to come by local transportation because there is only a very small parking lot that fills up quickly. Us the modern and clean toilet at the parking lot before starting your adventure. If you want to have a picnic, bring something to sit on as I only saw a couple of picnic tables.
