An extraordinary experience that I really recommend! Incredible how much we rely on our eyes on a daily basis. This experience shows you what it "feels" like to be blind. It's so dark inside that you don't see anything. It doesn't matter if your eyes are open or not. You go inside this tunnel at first and follow the walls. At the beginning you get a blind stick from the staff to "feel" your way forward. There's guides that tell you to follow them (most of the guides are blind themselves). There are different kinds of terrain as you walk through. At the end there is a "bar in the dark" where you can drink something and talk to the barkeeper or your friends, in the dark. It's a totally new experience to talk without seeing anyone or anything. You can just relax and be yourself without being anxious about your looks and so on. If you got the time definitely give it a go. It's really worth it! I loved every second of it.

Enriching experience for anyone who wants to have an slight insight of what life is like as a blind person. You are guided for one hour by blind or partially sighted guides through a completely black room featuring different situations of daily life (like crossing the street, a parc and many others).

My kids and i loved this. The guide was so witty with a razor sharp humor. He really helped put us at ease through the experience. I was terrified but we laughed and laughed so much. Great, profound, unforgettable and amazing. #1 experience in Vienna.

Dialogue in the Dark is a social franchise product of Dialogue Social Enterprise GmbH (DSE), alongside Dialogue in Silence and Dialogue with Time, and was originally conceived by Andreas Heinecke. With the aim of bringing sighted people closer to the everyday lives of people with blindness and enabling an eye-to-eye encounter, the exhibition has been shown in over 30 countries and more than 130 cities since its inception in 1988 and has already reached more than 9 million visitors. The exhibitions have also created some 9,000 job opportunities for blind and visually impaired people. Blind people guide groups of visitors through the completely darkened exhibition. Here they experience recreated everyday situations, such as a park, a cityscape or a bar, with scents, wind, temperatures, sounds and textures. The concept includes a role reversal in which blind people provide orientation for the visitors and they are taken out of their usual perception routines.

This is great! It allows you to experience what it feels to be blind, forcing you to rely on the rest or your senses. It is entertaining and highly recommended for groups, family, those working with diversity, inclusion and those willing to increase their levels of humanity. The visit is perfect for groups, since it elevates trust and connection; and for kids, that will for sure have fun and grow a deeper sense of gratitude as well as empathy.

Amazing and frankly the only way to learn how a blind person's life feels like. The tour is guided by a blind guide that leads you through absolute darkness and presents the challenges blind people muster daily.

A very enlightening experience. The tour is guided by a blind person and provides keen insights into the day-to-day lives of seeing impaired individuals. It's a great trust building exercise if you go with friends and/or partners. I would highly recommend this tour for everyone!

Well worth the 19 Euros. You'll get to experience a variety of simulated environments, including streets, parks and mountains, and in doing so gain incredible insight into how people who are blind live. Major props to our tour guide, Harold, who always made sure everyone was doing okay and who would give crisp, clear instructions (making it easy for me, as an intermediate level German speaker, to understand).

I have already done Dialogue in the Dark three times with my grandchildren. I can only recommend diving into the world of the blind and visually impaired to everyone.

It was amazing experience! Worth all the museums and galleries in the world. Here you can really experience a life of a blind person in different situations.

A wonderful experience. Eva was very nice throughout the tour and she was very expressive and kind and told about herself and how she sees the world. You get to know your senses much better in the dark and should try it for yourself for sure. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF THE DARK!

This museum was extremely informative and fun. Good for children over the age of eight. The guides are helpful and it felt very real. Beware that the tour is pitch black. You will not be able to see. This was an extremely fun experience and it was very amazing.
