Very nice experience... The decor was nice, the music was very soft and relaxing, perfect atmosphere to have a relaxing meal with friends or your couple. We ordered two dishes; the wait was a little bit long, but we enjoyed meantime with an exhibition of pictures of the Dalai Lama. You could see him with only one year old or with so many different world political leaders. You could choose to seat in a normal table, in individual sofas around a small table, or in big sofas (perfect for groups). No doubt, I will repeat.

I wanted to try this restaurant, just because I felt curious about the cuisine. The restaurant itself is very colourful and they have Tibetan music playing on the background, giving it a nice atmosphere. We order the Tibetan mix vegetarian (soup, salad and a mix of Tibetan specialities), and it was surprisingly good (after reading some of the comments online, I had low expectations). We also went for dessert (sorbet) and some drinks. The waitresses were super nice, and overall we had a very pleasant experience. We will be back and try other dishes.

An Exquisite Taste of Tibet and Cultural Connection in Vienna! My dining experience at The Tibet Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The flavors of Tibet brought back nostalgic memories of my time spent with the Tibetan community in India and Nepal. The ambiance, combined with authentic Tibetan cuisine, transported me back to the enriching moments I cherished in those regions. What makes this place even more unique is the Tibetan cultural shop within the restaurant premises. It’s a delightful haven filled with various artifacts, books, and mementos representing Tibetan culture and Buddhism. It reminded me of the spiritual and insightful times spent among the Tibetan community and how I miss those soulful moments, especially with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Kudos for not only delivering an exceptional culinary experience but also fostering a connection to Tibetan heritage and spirituality. A heartfelt thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for an unforgettable cultural and gastronomic journey!”

Really wanted to like them but it’s disappointing given there are so many good restaurants in Vienna serving better dumplings for lesser price as well . The momos were very average , the ones I took for take away were below average and the menu is on the expensive end . The staff are kind and nice .

Atmosphere is definitely great, very authentic! But other than that there’s not much to discover. It seems like the whole menü is based on the „special „ dumpling! For me it’s just a simple dumpling. We had the soup too, it was tasty. The waitress seemed annoyed by us because we asked for a recommendation, her answer was that everything is written in English as well. It wasn’t that bad but i also don’t think i will find a reason to go again.

We made reservations for 6:30pm and ordered took more than an hour to get any food so ordered salad and largest drink. Do go hungry, might turn to hangry. Great place to get to know someone, since you will be talking a lot before the food comes out! Order more than you think 🧐 portions are individual than sharing plates!

Since years going regularly there, it's certainly the best place in vienna for momos (absolutely MUST try). Yes you have to wait a while (maybe a bit more than in another restaurant) for the food to come but this is mainly to the fact everything is fresh and they don't have precooked food, even soups (which in other restaurants you would receive it within 5-10 min). However waiting time is definitely worth it as everything is delicious. Service is always great and the atmosphere is like being in a temple.. very peaceful and with positive vibes. Always a pleasure visiting!!

Great food and great service. Authentic and price is very fair and worth it. Do yourself a favor and stop in for this experience you won’t regret it. Also very clean and very nice staff. Our whole party loved each of our dishes so much we were trying each others out! Also they went all out on decor I was literally thrown back when I walked in by such a presence it felt like I was in Tibet and we all loved it and plan to come back every time I get to visit here

Long waiting.for food. Food nothing much as regards its taste. And after returning where i am staying here in Wien I got sick. Really ugly. Never more. Not cheap and i really won't forget this place. Btw.tea should be tea. Not almost only warm water.

We enjoyed our visit here. The food was good, service was adequate, and the place has a great atmosphere. We waited some time for our food, but not unreasonably long.

What a wonderful experience! As soon as we walked through the door it felt as though we had been transported to another world. The service was wonderful and the food and teas delicious. Everything is made to order and may take a bit longer but worth every minute. Also, there is a little shop in the back with a marvelous selection of Tibetan and Buddhist items to peruse while waiting. We ordered mixed platters of vegetarian momos with salad and a couple of marvelous desserts with homemade jogurt. We will definitely come back...and often! A big thank you and tashi delek to the owners for this amazing experience. ☺️

I loved it here. The interior, the effort they went to to create the design and the atmosphere! I felt very calm and comfortable and had a great lunch, momo soup and tea! Definitely visit if you're in Vienna!

We come here quite often because the food is delicious (especially the soups!), the staff is very friendly, the restaurant looks nice and full of interesting things to look at! Had to edit my comment : they are baby friendly but not toddler friendly unfortunately. They made us feel quite unwelcome with our very well behaved toddler and the kids chair was sticky and dirty and we ended up not wanting to use it for that reason.

Best place to get food in perfect tibetan atmosphere! Most preferred meal combo: Phatuk soup with cheese and Momo mix large vegetarian.

If you are looking for authentic curries this is the place to go. You can scale the spiciness as you like and you won't be disappointed. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. There is also a little shop to browse.

Great place. Fresh food. Lovely service and decor. Shame about a few touches which would have made it 5 stars.... Too bright inside for dinner.... (Loses some of the atmosphere) and the plates were melamine (I could have sworn). But food is so fresh. I had thai red chicken curry and rice. So fresh and tasty. My wife had the dumplings.... Nice, but she wish she had the curry!

I like this restaurant for the nice interior and relaxed athmosphere. The food has never been spectacular but today was just disappointing. We waited 1.5 hours for a plate of momos and they arrived undercooked and almost empty. They really need to try harder if they want to keep their customers.

Absolutely authentic Tibetan food and experience from - in my opinion - the best Tibetan cook in Europe. If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to stop by and try it. :)
