Moderate size location in the city center. The place is overall tidy and the service is quick. The staff weren’t as friendly though. The taste is good but a bit salty.

If you like fast Italian food in a nice place this might suit. This German chain has you order like at McDonalds, then you sit down in a comfortable room while they prepare your food. When its ready you are called to the counter to collect. Really nice Pizza and Pasta. Very popular and can see why.

I have enjoyed my launch with my wife in this stylish pizza and pasta restaurant, they having ordering machine in the entrance, the staff are very professional with a nice uniform and the atmosphere of the restaurants are unique, the food are great and tasty, the cooking it in front of you fresh. I recommend the management to have access for the wheelchair in the entrance.

This Italian place have amazing way of food preparation. Cook with fresh ingredients and is very healthy. They also have very friendly staff. Place is busy and taste of the food is delicious.

It was a unique experience. When you enter the restaurant they give you a card that you use to order. The order will be registered in the card for payment when you leave. To order, you walk in front of the chefs and order the food you want (very customizable like for pasta you can choose: Pasta, the seasoning, spiciness, and the sauce is based on what you order on the menu.) Then once you order the food they cook it in front of you and you can smell your food as it gets cooked. Then you just tap the card in a sensor by the chef to register the order. The salmon carbonara and the bruschetta with shrimp we had were great and it was a yummy experience. Note: I think there is also no tap water because we had to order a bottled (glass) water for 5.4 Euros.

Quick fast and delicious. The pizza and pasta are both really good. It's also a fun experience to watch the chefs prepare the food. I did find my arrabbiata needed a lot more spice though and the salad had a bit too much sauce (during my most recent visit). But overall after visiting several times I've been very happy.

After this pasta we’ve finished up in the ambulance with food poisoning. I have nothing to add. I guess it was due to the cooking. Pasta was literally row.

Vapiano is a great choice to try some decent Italian food if you fancy food that's prepared in front of you. The pizzas are nice. It's great to see that they are now offering gluten-free and vegan pizzas. The pizza this time around was a bit dull although the gluten-free version was amazing. The service staff was nice and the atmosphere is great!

The food was excellent like any other Vapuano restaurant I have visited. The employees are doing their best for a quick and good service. Overall a great food and service

Very good options, with salads, pasta, and good selection of beverages. I really appreciated the digital menu and the self service kiosk for ordering - you can see the English version of the menu, and they have all the recipes ingredients listed. Very nice! For those traveling in a budget, the plate of pasta can easily serve two with not so much hungry.

The food is good with some pizza to choose from as gluten free. Since you are in Vienna and you are coeliac beggars cannot be choosers... Therefore we opted to eat from here. Food is ok, price is on the lower side for Vienna. Children are welcome.

One of my favorite places across Europe. I love the experience: you can order at a kiosk and wait at your table until your order is ready for you to pick up; it's similar to a fast food place but the food is high quality, delicious, and yet it's usually ready in maximum 15 minutes. The atmosphere isn't the strongest yet delightful, simple. I come here all the time and recommend it

Nothing would make getting 2 orders of pasta in 50 minutes okay!! No matter how busy the restaurant is.. Then we tried the QR code ordering feature on the table, only to realize that the person who’s supposed to be bringing it was completely ignoring it.. Loved the food though!

If you compare it to bapiano westbanhof then it is better but as compared to vapiano wien mitte, it is so so Loved the pasta ans pizza for adults. Kids pizza was below average In the hot weather , there were no ACs so it was inconvenience but kind of empty resturent compensated it. People are bat were super friendly and helpful.

We ordered the Quattro Formaggi Pizza and a Lasagna. However, as shown in the picture, the pizza had only one type of cheese and a lot of honey, and half of it was just plain crust. Even though we asked for it to be spicy, we got honey instead. The lasagna was better than the pizza but had too much sauce and had a soggy texture that required a spoon to eat. Overall, it was a disappointing experience ☹️

Went at ~18:30, pasta queue was silly (20+ min), in contrast, pizza was ready quite fast. Taste was good and fresh, although the ham (on the ?) was below average.

Vapiano is supposed to be a good above average place for italian meals such as pizza and pasta But don’t go in the branch if it’s crowded The employees do not know how to work under pressure I ordered a pizza and waited for 28 minutes Then I received it totally burned!! I dont know how she even thought to present it all black!? As i was just looking at her she said would you like to have another one? Human beings dont eat charcoal Then the second pizza has less cheese and half done Not worth a penny I hope the management reads this post You do not deserve what i paid for

Nice place for quick and easy dinner as they have not big but interesting menu, combining classic Italian style with innovative ideas. They always have some seasonal dishes to offer too.

Great place to sit outside! And if you sitting inside, I recommend the tables in the back (go straight and turn left). That area is quieter and the seats more comfortable. The specials are definitely worth trying! Seasonal and fresh ingredients.

There are a lot more things to get done and better to be but still I love the place.

Have been to many vapianos, lives up to the name. Good tasty food. Good fast service and affordable prices. Toilet available inside the restaurant

The concept is great. A very nice and welcoming restaurant. You receive kind of a personal card which allows you to order anything you want. Before you leave you make a check out with the card. What's on menu? Pizza, pasta, salads and more.

We ordered takeout and I was so happy to find gluten free pizza! And gluten free pizza that was good! I got the gluten free Margherita. The crust was nice and fluffy and I almost felt like I was eating non-gluten free pizza. Definitely recommend.

It would be great if they had a big poster with the instructions. It would also help the receptionist so that she isn't so flustered by all the tourists coming in and being confused as to how ordering works. The food was great! Recommended

Very nice Italian restaurant. Staff is efficient and very friendly. We tried pastas, pizza and ☕️. Espresso was superb.

The food here is absolutely perfect. The prices are a bit higher I’d say, but it’s definitely worth it. There is a separate cook for every type of food - one for pizzas, the other one for pasta, another one for risotto. Portions are big, you can’t eat the whole thing. Only, the aperol spritz could’ve had more of the aperol and less soda.

Italian cuisine and fusion: soups, salads, pasta and more. A sort of buffet. You take a card at the entrance, one per person, then charge all the dishes of your choice to your card and pay at the exit. Convenient and time-effective.

We both were unfortunately absolutely disappointed by this vapiano in the Mariahilferstrasse. We came extra to this restaurant and walked all the way from the Westbahnhof. The restaurant was either not heated or really badly because we were freezing. We hoped that the hot food would warm us up, but unfortunately my lasagna was not even hot, but it should actually still be sizzling. It was pretty tasteless, added salt and pepper, plus fresh basil sveral times to make it at least taste like something. Prices are more expensive than before corona, but the portions seem smaller. An arabic family had 2 sreeming boys next to us, which made the atmosphere even worse. The payment situation was beyond ridiculous! There were 5 girls with vouchers, but the cashier was totally overwhelmed & had a hard time figuring out how to process it. 2 colleagues came to joke with him, instead of opening a second cash register. So we had to wait 10+ minutes in line just to pay. Needless to say we didn't tip as the service & food wasn't good! Wouldn't recommend this chain at all, actually was never worth the money!

Dinner we had yesterday was the best Vapiano meal we ever had. The cooking show put up by Mr. Vapiano was exceptional and food turned out phenomenal. Food is one thing, but friendly and dedicated people working at the restaurant add different dimension to the experience, and our experience was truly amazing. This is how it should be at every restaurant.

Absolutely loved it, the cooks behind the counter are wonderful and friendly and go out of their way to accommodate your requests. Lovely mix of indoor and outdoor seating options too and a pretty reasonable price for two (very) filling, delicious meals. Highly recommended :)

Great food, interesting way to cook pasta and other italian food. For those not so familiar, it is a litle bit stange to order pasta carbonara and the cook ask you if you want garlic in it. Because they cook what you order in front of you. And I was expecting to get carbonara as it is, not to be asked what ingredients I want in. Sorry guys.
