A bit expensive for what it is. The kasekraimer was delicious (cheese melting out of the sausage) but with bread it was €7,5… I love paying for good food, but the way the male staff just rudely shoved the hotdog towards me made me feel bad… I asked to cut the hotdog in two to share with my friend but even that was too much. The man simply rolled his eyes, said no and screamed next. RUDE!!! I believe you can find the same sausage as qualitative with better service and a better price in many other stands…

The hot dog is pretty good and the people are friendly. You can do a bun-free version. It's a little salty if you do no buns tho. In that case, please order some fries. They have different wine options including "imperial" moet, because it's Vienna after all! 😊

If you like standing 45 min to get done food, is ok. Nevertheless, I wanted to get Bosna. There was not. I wanted then to get hotdog. There was no hotdog. So I took Curry Wurst + non alcoholic beer. €10 for Curry Wurst + beer? It was just normal curry Wurst. Nothing special. Exactly the same taste as I ate the same day in Graz on main market square. Was it worth of this money? Not really.

I will give 7.5/10. Due to I’m not a big fan of sausage. But honestly, it tastes good. During the meal time, you can see the long line up in front of the stand. If you are a big fan of sausage, please try it!

I had the Kasekreiner. Yummy. Great value for money. I only wish there was some seating. I like that they accept payment by card (as well as cash). They also sell water (both still and carbonated) and various alcoholic drinks. Would definitely eat here again.

Great sausages, we tasted Käsekrainer, Currywurst and Bratwurst. But our favourite was Käsekrainer-emmantel cheese filled sausage🌭🧀👍🏻We were able to pay with card, there is a pos machine right next to the order window. The place is right next to Albertine Museum and Opera House, also there is a park nearby you can enjoy your food.

We came early for breakfast at around 8am. There was no queue and the lady serving us was attentive and fast. We had a cheese sausage with bread and a curry sausage. Both were fantastic! The cheese sausage with mustard was perfect combo. The bread was medium hard which was easy to bite into. And their sausages were very tasty. The curry was the sweet type like the japanese curry and it was nice! My wife finished the curry on the plate!

The sausage was delicious! I had trouble to understand the options as it was written only in Their own language. Would have helped to have it bilingual given that this is a tourist area. I just ordered what the person before me ordered and love it! The Vienna beer was not my like but better try!

Tourist trap. Got 2 different kinds of hotdog. The cheese filled sausage was nice, but nothing out of this world. For the price, I can get hotdogs from Costco and make 3X the hotdogs for half the price and they’re as good quality wise. A bit inconvenient as they don’t accept cards - perhaps time to leave your cave and offer a digital payment system!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the wurstel food stand, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! From the moment I approached the stand, I was greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of sizzling sausages and the friendly smiles of the staff. The variety of wurstel options on offer was impressive. From classic bratwurst to spicy chorizo, there was something to suit every palate. I opted for the traditional bratwurst with sauerkraut and mustard, and it did not disappoint. The sausage was perfectly grilled, juicy, and packed with flavor. The sauerkraut added a tangy crunch, and the mustard added a delightful kick. What truly set this wurstel stand apart was the attention to detail and quality of ingredients. The sausages were clearly made with care and expertise, using premium cuts of meat and a blend of spices that created a memorable taste. The buns were fresh and toasted to perfection, providing a satisfying contrast to the tender sausage. The service was exceptional. The staff was knowledgeable, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring that each order was prepared with care. The wait time was minimal, even during busy periods, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. To top it all off, the prices were reasonable, making it an excellent option for a quick and satisfying meal. Whether you're a fan of wurstel or looking to try it for the first time, I highly recommend visiting this food stand. It's a true gem that offers a taste of culinary excellence in every bite.

Even at 23:00, there are people! It was tasty! There were two workers - one of them wasn't happy to speak English, another one was much kinder! I got a tasty cheese sausage and a top crust that was difficult to chew... Anyway, I liked the first experience!

I had the cheese, spicy, and double smoked With a side a pickles (do not forget some pickles it is delicious!) All three had great the cheese sausage has a ton of cheese in it My overall favorite was the spicy dog The doubled smoked had good flavor but was a little too tough for my liking The service though was super nice! And made sure to wrap all my food to go perfectly!

I think this is the best sausage stand in Vienna. Especially the cheese sausage is delicious. It was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The cheese is melted and perfectly balanced.

Stopped for a quick traditional sausage: we’ve tried 4 different sausages and they all were delicious! Top one was the grilled bratwurst but the hotdog was great too.

  • 4/5 Cathie J. 7 months ago on Google
We devoured our kasenkrainer hot dogs (€7.3 each) and currywurst sausage (€5.9). Note that it is pricier than other hotdog stands because it’s in the tourist area.

Had the cheese sausages as a late night snack after watching an opera at the Opera State House. The sausages were juicy and tasted nice. There are stands/ tables next to the store for people to stand and eat which is pretty nice.

Best sausage I have ever tried in my life!!! The portion is bigg. Must try their cheese sausage cause it was phenomenal. The sausage is not salty at all (i could not handle salty food). Worth the waiting time ☄️

I mean make sure that you stop at this local sausage buffet and eat a classical sausage with a Weiss bier. It is delicious, it is cheap and it is totall local.

    - Tried two types of wurst: Kasekrainer (sausage with cheese bits inside) and Bratwurst. The Kasekrainer was definitely good, but very greasy. The bratwurst was honestly terrible and I would not order again. Very thin and dry. Not comparable to the American Bratwurst we get the US. Of note, each sausage is about 5-6 Euro. One if pretty sufficient per person. It does come with some bread as well. They also provide ketchup and mustard if you want - Sauerkraut also was not to my liking. It was infused with something red, possibly curry. They gave a huge portion. Didn’t taste tangy enough. - Line wasn’t crazy, but you may have to wait about 15 minutes to order - They do accept credit cards, which was nice You can eat the food right on the counter

A great stand at the middle of the street with some wursts!! The stuff was a little rude and rushed us - but the food is extremely tasty and fairly cheap (6-7 euros for a sausage). A great quick bite in Vienna!!

Prime location and prime street food! You can do a hot dog or two in between visits to the Albertina or the Opera. The best part is having a cold beer right next to the food stand. A street food must in Vienna!

This food truck is placed at an strategic place. It is a great option if you are hungry after sightseeing and want to taste some Currywurst and rest for a little bit. The currywurst tastes very well. Thlse are the the only good things about this place. The staff was not nice, they were always rushing us and inquiring for our orders. The signs are only in German and since it is not our mother language we had some problems understanding it; when we asked them what this or that was they would answer harshly, looking somewhere else and kind of looking with disguise... I was about to leave when this happened, but we were hungry and wanted to try their food. We decided to order one hot dog per person and one currywurst for every 2 people. It costed 36€ (6 hot dogs + 3 currywurst); we had nothing to drink. We had to eat it standing up because they have no furniture to sit on, nevertheless they do have high tables. P.S: The hot dog is probably the worst one I have ever had in my entire life, it just... did not taste at all!! Although I guess that is better than tasting bad... The Currywurst was veeery good, though. As I said, I would only recommend you this place if you have just seen the opera zone, you are hungry and want to have some currywurst. Otherwise, run away.

It was a street food but it was very tasty. If you pass through here, be sure to buy food from this truck.

Quick and dirty sausage. relatively cheap. saucy. oh there's heaters around the back for those windy days. Taste is not bad. not jaw dropping.. just regular kind of sausage fix.

The best wurstel stand in Vienna... tasty, good bread and lots of sauces.

  • 5/5 Sharon S. 1 year ago on Google
Had the one with the chease inside (don't know the German name), with mustard, ketchup and grated horseradish. It was EXCELLENT. And as in every place I visited in Vienna - the staff were really friendly.

A popular sausage stand due to its location right next to the Albertina. The line is long but it moves fast. Expect brisk service, so be prepared with your order beforehand. The kasekrainer is really good! Try the curry wurst for a spicy kick. Note that they charge extra for sauces like ketchup and mustard.

Visited a few different sausage stands whilst in Vienna but this was definitely the best! The kasekrainer is a must you will not regret it!

Beautiful location and very long queues for the hot dog. I suggest getting it with all the condiments. After the tour bus suggested this place I had to give it a try as it seemed like a must do whilst in the area. The portion was decent, and so was the taste; keeping you warm in the colder months in Vienna. Very nice staff and easily able to speak and understand English.

The sausages are great. My only concern its about the vendoe guy who is taking care of the customers' money and also helps with the food (he touches it). That's VERY VERY BAD. My issue is not about covid but for other thousand of viruses that are in the money (money cash is touches by hundred of people)

  • 4/5 María M. 1 year ago on Google
The queue moved pretty slowly but you can see it is because the food is properly cooked. It would be nice if they would provide some kind of shelter from the winter cold.

  • 5/5 Amelia Y. 1 year ago on Google
Great place for street food! There was a long queue and they only accept cash as payment method. I tried Käsekrainer, the first option on the menu, and they came warm and taste good👍

  • 5/5 JN B. 2 years ago on Google
The spicy bratwurst is very good. It's fast and hours are open longer than the regular wursttelstand.

  • 3/5 Nai M. 1 year ago on Google
Centrally located kiosk. A bit of a queue but moves quickly. Cash only. Menu on display but not in English. Be clear on what you want or else they automatically give you the priciest sausage on the menu (€7) instead of the regular käsekrainer (€5,80). Nonchalant service, don’t expect friendliness. Sausage and bread yummy.
