We came here on a Sunday and we sat down for a quick lunch. The owner was the only one there. The other staff were off because it was Sunday. The food was nice, but the service was the best part. We are coming back next time we are in Vienna. Thanks!

We four in a group visited the restaurant to have lunch with huge appetite. Instantly papor and a single bowl of rice served, assuring as complementary. Ordered items served of which dal was stale and mal odorus, vegetables were deeply imerged in gravy thick water not eatable. Bill served included the complementary items as well. When asked the bad manager/ owner kept silent, ,,,, a very bad experience we had ever. It deserves no rating at all.

As Im forced to sit on the toilet, I have came to think the food wasn’t worth this trouble. I feel the food was reheated and served. Although it was Friendly service.

Josef is very good and quick to prepare the food. He made wheat tawa chapati for us and authentic spicy veg curry.

I went there with my friends recently and it was a great experience, the food was so tasty and the service was also so good. I would recommend Chicken biriyani and all South Indian dishes are awesome. 👌👌

It was an amazing experience at the restaurant. Location is amazing, right opposite to the metro station. The staffs are extremely friendly and take care of your food accordingly. The variety in their Menu is amazing and you can try food from different parts of India. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We came here today. We feel like cheated on us by the owner of the India Gate restaurant. Because, when we ordered food, the owner of the restaurant told us that Papor and Rice was complimentary with Bread and curry we ordered. However, during the billing,the owner disowned and charged the bill accordingly. This was completely unbecoming of a gentleman. Moreover, the Dal seems to be older. Overall, bad experience.

No comment on food as I didn’t get chance to eat . I called them to confirm if they open and when I got there it closed. We Waite half an hour and nobody showed up. Hope next time put some information so it help not to waste others time

Food was average. Far too much salt on most dishes. Please taste your before eating. Nice staff.

We ordered butter chicken and dal makani The butter chicken was just plain gravy. Hardly any taste. Looked like it was already prepared. The Dal makhani was very dry and had no taste of butter or Lentils in it. The owner was a bit rude and didnt enjoy the time there

We came here on a Friday and the table for us already reserved and we sat down for a dinner. The owner and 1 lady was there for service .We ordered of a lot things but the most delicious dish was beef curry spicy and crispy loved it, The food was nice, but the service was the best part. We are coming back next time we are in Vienna. Thanks!

I ordered veg thali and it was good. The decor is traditional Indian authentic restaurant style, which you will find in India too. And thanks to Denis for creating this restaurant for people like us, who travel abroad but want to have Indian food.

Pathetic and tasteless food. Will not recommend at all. Extremely rude staff. They tell you wrong portion sizes and when asked, Dinesh waiter said 'what do you want me to do, eat myself or pack it for you?' Ordered palak paneer and this is what they gave. When asked Dinesh waiter rudely said 'this has masala, paneer and spinach, see for yourself. This is what you get!' Plus it's highly priced for the bas service and pathetic taste they provide. I wish I could give 0 stars.

On a sunny afternoon I had a chicken biriyani with a spritzer..taste was nice and quantity proportionate...would recommend to try for ppl who do not wish to eat too spicy and..

I genuinely appreciate the taste and service. And, yeah, the authentic South Indian chutney would have been too good if it has been prepared fresh. But, I understand the location and the taste of the people which sometimes lead them to prepare earlier. The sambar tasted very good. Overall, I would say that if you want to give a try during your short stay, then feel free to. (Purely from my point of view ☺️)

Went to this wonderful restaurant in Vienna. The food was delicious! We ordered the non vegetarian thali and chicken biryani and everything was tasty and the portions were very generous. If you are visiting Vienna or if you live there- you must try this place

very pathetic food and service. we ordered fish cutlets as starter for two people. it was too dry and we felt the taste like a rotten fish. main course we ordered was two masala dosa and the masala was without flavours. food preparation took more than 1 hour as there was only a single guy to take the order , to cook it and to serve it. Price was too high which was around 56 euros we spend together. .totally worthless to eat here.o

Amazing place and food. We tried buffet and also dosa, vada. The taste was authentic indian spicy food and owner was extremely nice . We went there twice on our trip to Vienna. Definitely recommend this place !

After long time we had a great food at India Gate Restaurant, Vienna. It was excellent experience with Mr. Denny and he take care of our team & felt like home. Everyone one must visit the India Gate Restaurant.

We were in this restaurant last week and have very delicious Thali samosa and Karla tea, which is exceptional taste. Moreover the restaurant run by the owner himself and he is the only one employee which handling AtoZ Mr Denny Thanks for your hospitality and recommended 5 Star.

Overall great experience! Service was very nice, prices were reasonable, and portions were very generous and delicious (and much spicier than I was expecting). Definitely recommend!

We stumbled upon this place in Vienna. And hands down the best Indian food in Vienna. The Dosa was amazing and Dal makhani too. Mr.Denis very generous gentleman he got to one of us were celebrating the birthday he spontaneously managed to bake an amazing cake🥳. Thank you so much until next time.

I was here with my friends. The service was really nice. The cheff even made the dishes taste like really Kerala style spicy. Masala dosa was👌🏻...Starters like Samoosa was also nice.

We were in Vienna as Erasmus students from Germany and visited India Gate Restaurant to enjoy some South Indian spicy food. The food and service was awsome. The service was overwhelming.

Food was pathetic. Ordered masala dosa. It was so bad that they had to prepare a new one but again it was no good. Too much oil. Chutney was not fresh. Cutlery were not cleaned properly. Total waste of money. Would not recommend.

On Wednesday afternoon a few tables were occupied but the service was outstanding. We came for South Indian Dosa and ordered Idli and Uttapam also. All was very good the sambhar was outstanding really We will come again if time permits or till next time. Mr. Dinesh was perhaps the owner and waiter. Good job Dinesh .

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!!😍 We were Two girls visiting Vienna for the first time, and this restaurant has by far been the best experience! 🤩 We were welcomed by the sweetest man. The restaurant owner took his time to guide us through his indian kitchen. Furthermore, the food was really really good, we Got Butter chicken which smelled delicious and tasted even better! We are more than happy! We would definitely reccomend🤩

Had a very good experience at India Gate during my stay at Vienna. I tried chicken Briyani and Mango lassi. Both were good in taste and portions. A must try for South Indians visiting Vienna. To add, the manager who runs is super sweet and cordial.

Waiter Dinesh was very rude Palak paneer we ordered was not Palak paneer they gave us a food which was kept When asked about Roti, He told naan will be smaller than chapati so we orders more nAan then he gave naan for almost 5 people (we were only 2) Food pathetic Waiter (Dinesh) don’t know how to treat customers . We tried there chicken masala, roti, steamed rice and sweets. It was so delicious 🤤 I still miss there sweets. I must say every penny is worth it.
