Food was average , service was awful and border racist , I felt . We had two kids with us and as happens with every family with kids food is ordered in staggered manner and the statement we heard back was ‘we are occupying the whole table’ as if we are not paying customers. Well I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody .

Visiting Vienna and found this amazing restaurant. We had chicken Tika Masla and Bhuna Ghosht and both were on point. If you are craving good Punjabi food then this is the place to eat. If we have time will definitely go back to try the other stuff.

Delicious food and amazing hospitality. Loved the ambience and the background Hindi music. I heard a few songs which I didn't hear from 5-6 years. Simply loved it. The lady owner came to talk to us about our trip in Vienna which makes it feel like a family abroad :)

We expected the food to be delicious based on its rating 4.7 But we were disappointed with every dish Biryani was mushy and not tasty Chicken korma was way far from the korma itself The lamb dish was very salty Bread was 👎🏻 Indian tea is very light and not flavoured Overall, food is below average and tasted as if they used canned sauces 1 star for their nice friendly staff and cleanliness

Absolutely amazing Indian restaurant. Went there with friends and everyone had an amazing experience. If you are not familiar with Indian food I would absolutely recommend getting the platter as it allows you to try a few different types of sauces. I would warn to people that are not used to spicy food that the Byriani is VERY spicy, very delicious nevertheless.

A very spectacular hidden gem in the 8th district. Lovely ambience, candles everywhere, Lovely Indian music that is newly rendered with upbeat. The food is excellent, and the service is magnificent. 5 stars all the way for me.

Amazing food! Waiter had perfect English, only the Indian wine was no good, but still!

Very authentic and sympathetic restaurant. The place is beautifully designed and brings a special atmosphere. The food is very delicious, also perfect for vegetarians. Next to a very forthcoming owner, the newly introduced cocktails were our personal highlights. Classic cocktails combined with Indian traditions, which brings them to a whole new level. Everything about this restaurant screams love for detail - for us, this is our favourite Indian restaurant in Vienna!

Honestly - this place has some of the best Indian food I ever had. I was on vacation/holidays in Vienna and tried it out since it was near my hotel and went back a second time. Great service and great food - that's all one needs. If I lived in Vienna, I would probably come here couple times a month.

Very nice ambience and good service. Food was good however not very unique when taste wise compared against other Indian restaurants in Vienna. I ordered a thali which had a good portion size for the price and was fresh.

Delicious! They have choice whether Indian spicy or western spicy. Love it! It’s a truly the real Indian taste. Excellent service mind. Beautiful decoration with romantic candle. Such a good atmosphere. Butter nan is crispy outside but soft inside. Recommended!

Really nice food and big portion. I’d suggest the plate with more dishes to taste. An Indian may find it too soft but I really liked it. The service was okay. Good prices and nice location.

This must be the first and only ‘Asian’ food I enjoyed in the whole Europe. It wasn’t the best I ever had but very close! We ordered butter chicken, fish tikka masala, couple of garlic naans and big mango lassi. Very friendly staff too! We will come back for sure :)

We visited the restaurant during our stay in Vienna and we believe it worths visiting it. The employees are the kindest and most polite people we met in Vienna. They helped us decide which dish and wine to ordered. We ordered the butter chicken, the chicken with mango sauce and rice with vegetables. Very fast service and the dishes were excellent and tasty! Enough portions and value for money. Highly recommend this! The place has some interesting Indian art pieces and lights but we think it needs more Indian style furniture and maybe the environment to be more cozy.

I've been to multiple Indian Restaurants in Europe, and being Indian I can say this is one of the best. They've maintained authentic Indian taste even in Europe. Along with the food, their staff and overall ambience, everything was close to perfect. Couldn't take pictures as we reached a bit late and the restaurant was about to close but it's totally worth with big portions, highly recommended !! I'll definitely go again if ever in Vienna....

I ordered a delivery from the lunch menu. The delivery was impressively fast, but the food was pretty average, not great but not terrible. We ordered Chicken Korma and Butter Chicken. The chicken from the Butter Chicken was very tasty, but the sauces tasted cheap and mass produced, with too much sugar and not enough flavor. Naan bread was included instead of soup. Price was pretty good for a lunch menu, €19.80 for 2 main courses including delivery.

We had a extremely pleasant experience at this restaurant. The wait staff were helpful and friendly, and the service was fast. A good menu, and the food we ordered was excellent, as was the wine. The restaurant is airy and decorated in muted colours, yet with some rather spectacular lamps which give a focus to the room. Being quite spacious, the tables are not jammed together as in many other places and the background music was just low enough to allow conversation over the meal. Everything added up to a really good evening. The owner came to check everything was OK, and we had an enjoyable chat about how he came to open the restaurant and his ideas behind it. Highly recommended for all round satisfaction.

I’m from the UK and I’ve eaten A LOT of Indian food - I can easily say that this is the best Indian meal I have ever had. Don’t hesitate to visit if you want Indian food in Vienna.

Excellent food, service and taste. No matter which dish you try, you won't be disappointed. Authentic Indian food as if you were eating in India. Best Indian restaurant in Austria, must recommend! 10 stars!

Best restaurant of any price range/caliber I've been to in Vienna so far. The food was really well prepared -- the only complaint I could possibly make about the food was that it wasn't as spicy as I would make at home, but I didn't specifically ask for it spicy so that's totally fine (I think if I asked for extra spicy it probably would have suited me perfectly). Our host was super funny and really made the experience 10x better. Plus he had super great knowledge of the menu and was able to find the perfect dish for someone in our group who didn't know what to order. I will gladly come back to Taj again and again because they are easily one of the best in Vienna!

Really fan of Indian food but not as expected out of 10/5, the onion more then the rice and unbalanced spices, price is bit expensive as well

From the moment we walked in we instantly felt very welcome and you could tell its a family run business. Staff was very friendly and accommodated us well. The food was delicious and for wine we were recommended the house red which was really nice and robust. The naan was particularly delicious as it was fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. All in all, we had a lovely night. Would highly recommend.

I had high expectations regarding the rating but the food wasn't meeting the expectations, we ordered butter chicken but the pieces were so chewy can't be sliced easily, looked that it didn't got cooked well. The waitress was very friendly and explained that its not possible as they charcoal it, but again, it might be some pieces not cooked very well, he offered us another dish, but honestly i will not give it another try after the bizarre experience

We enjoyed the food and drinks at the restaurant a lot! Masala tea, lassi, a plate of peculiar Indian dishes and sweets gave us a delightful taste of the Indian cuisine. The staff and the owner were very polite. Will miss this place in Vienna immensely l!

The personnel was really helpful with the Indian cuisine and instructive. They were really kind and the mango homemade drink that we ordered was amazing suggestion. The food was great and we would definitely eat there again and again when we feel a little spicy.
