We had reservation for late lunch! We come here to eat ribs. Food was tasty and good and big portion! You don’t need to wait food long time…. It was maybe too quickly (fast food). Beer is great 👍! Service it isn’t… weiters only ask what we want to eat and drink and then food come and then we pay to bill!!! Not so nice experience! It’s for tourists??? Garlic soup was great!!!!

We came around 19h and even though it was crowded we didnt wait for a table for too long. We ordered "surstelze" for 2 people and it was very tasty. Portion was enogh for 2. Pretzels were delicious as well. Waiter was super fast and polite. Although it was a little bit pricey food is for 5 stars.

It has a nice outdoor area for the sunset to get a drink or food. It is a beer brewing restaurant and has many kinds of beer and they even have beer tasting. So I was not expecting the food to be good, but it was pretty good! The atmosphere is nice.

Very bad experience. The food seemed to have been prepared a long time ago and not juicy at all. The yellow mustard sauce was very unpleasant and the sauerkraut was tasteless. The only good thing is that the beer is pretty good. Not suggest to be here in early morning. Won't come again

Place was packed and all tourists. Staff was fine, a few long waits but they were helpful enough. The touristy vibe of the place wasn’t the best though. Perhaps unavoidable given the location. Had their beer flight. 5 beers all from their own brewery. Unfortunately I rate them as fairly average. The Märzen was the best of the bunch for me.

Excellent experience. Traditional brewery near palace Belvidere. For 2 hours we felt like real Austrian people, eating real Austrian food and schnapps. The service was exemplary. The waiter was really funny and helpful and he enhanced the familiar experience. You can order anything and it will be fresh, but one should order traditional!! I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had lunch on Saturday and we were really delighted. The food was excellent and the staff was really very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this restaurant. But make a reservation at least 2 days in advance.

I will give 6/10. The minus point is due the service. As lots of comments mentioned, the employee was rude and the place was really noise, like a market… But the food and beer is ok, you still can try it. I also gave them 10% tips due to they asked me…

If you're in the mood for a culinary journey that takes your taste buds on a salty expedition, accompanied by a pint of frothy goodness, then this restaurant might just be your ticket. Let's dive into my experience at this intriguing establishment! The restaurant ambiance was warm and inviting, with friendly staff who were quick to seat us and take our orders. As we perused the menu, we couldn't help but notice a recurring theme—salt. It seemed like every dish had a hint of extra saltiness, which can be polarizing for some palates. As our meals arrived, we couldn't deny that the food was indeed on the saltier side. The flavors were bold, but the sodium levels were a touch excessive for my personal taste. However, here's where the twist comes in: the saving grace was the wide selection of beers they offered. The restaurant boasts an impressive array of craft beers and local brews that perfectly complemented the salty dishes. We decided to take the advice of fellow patrons and opted for some hoppy ales and smooth lagers. The bitter and refreshing nature of the beers effectively helped balance out the saltiness of the food, creating a surprisingly enjoyable dining experience. It became apparent that the intention behind the culinary choices was to create a unique combination of flavors that, when paired with the right beverages, could truly delight. Despite the heavy-handedness with salt, I must acknowledge the quality of ingredients and the creativity that went into crafting the menu. From the seafood dishes bursting with maritime flavors to the savory meat options, there were many highlights worth mentioning. The chefs clearly possess a strong understanding of flavor profiles, even if they do lean toward the saltier end of the spectrum. The service was prompt and attentive throughout our visit, and the staff members were knowledgeable about the beer selections and offered helpful recommendations. Their enthusiasm for the food and beer pairing concept was infectious, making our experience more engaging and enjoyable. Overall, if you have a fondness for bold and salty flavors, or if you're in the mood for an adventurous culinary outing, this restaurant might just hit the mark for you. Just be prepared for the saltiness, and make sure to grab a pint or two of their excellent beer selection to balance things out. It's an experience that requires an open mind and a willingness to explore the interplay between flavors.

We went there for drinks just drinks, they put us on a high chair the beer wasn’t as i expected which make me decide to take Apitrol but my partner went with beer which wasn’t that good for him too, what we found odd that there was no music at all you just here other people’s chattering , although the place was full of customers specially it’s Friday night the service was good despite all the negative comment😅 we went there ready for bill scam or bad service as mentioned but that didn’t happen they were nice a fast comparing to the number of customers.

A bit of a touristy place as it is 10 steps from Belvedere palace. The beers were very good as this is an old history brewery and they offer a tasting of all their beers for 10€. The plates were ok but nothing too extreme. For example the portion of the garlic soup was not good compared to the price. The Gordon blue was nice and juicy. Still you can visit better more local place for good food that this place and this is why I would give it a 3/5.

Huge place, but gets packed! Try to make a reservation if you're coming in after 6pm. We only tried the spareribs (the BEST!), pork knuckle (portion for 1 and boneless- also great!), fries, and apple strudel with whipped cream and a side of vanilla ice cream (amazing combo - make sure to order the scoop of ice cream!). Beer selection was good too - they brew their own. Atmosphere is loud and alive, prices are slightly on the higher side but worth it. Staff are friendly and hard-working! We would definitely return for the ribs especially!

Excellent food beer and service. Beer, wine and food are great value. Wiener schnitzel and chicken schnitzel are superb. Salm brew there own beers on site. Brut (Champagne) is a bit pricey for average quality

Ate here twice during our stay in Vienna. Probably the best food we had the whole trip. Goulash, wiener, apple strudel. Good beer. Good wine. Good atmosphere. Service was just ok. Expected for Europe, but food was amazing

We got Tafelspitz, Beef Goulash, and the traditional Viennese schnitzel and they were all super delicious. A lot of awards and medals for their beers are hanging on the walls. Our waiter, Konstantin, was nice and provided good service, European style. We’d definitely come back!

Very iconic. The draft beer was really good too. I will recommend coming here for lunch after the visit to the palace

their pork knuckle and ribs were not bad, quite filling so had to share with friends. it was quite packed and busy but the food arrived in a short period of time which was rlly great! however the garlic soup was just decent, it was a bit cold as well probably due to busy night but overall it was a good experience and the food was worth it ☺️

Convenient right next to castle and our hotel. Enjoyed a great beer and chicken cordon bleu, with potato salad and husband had fried Cape Hake ( white fish ) with potatoes. Wonderful afternoon!

Very delicious food and beer. Enormous territory in the city centre. Each time I come, the new area I explore😂. Also good idea to have separate area for those, who want only drinks, tables are small, but it’s enough space to chat and taste the beer. The staff speaks different languages, so, you will understand each other any way. This place is always full of people, especially tourists. Good spot to visit during your trip to Vienna.

Classic tavern, excellent place for sharing food and trying out their beers. I tried the classic schnitzel and it didn’t disappoint. If you’re going alone or small groups, you could be sharing the table with another party.

Lovely experience spending the New Year’s Eve here. The place is next to Belvedere. It is the part that used to be the servant’s quarters. The interiors are beautiful. We were greeted well and the service was top. (We were requested for a tip which was a little weird because it then feels rude to say no. So you are left with no choice but to tip.) We tried the chilli beer which only comes in 1L. It had just the right amount of hotness. Very refreshing! The food was beyond exceptional. We had the spinach strudel and potato cabbage strudel. Highly recommend you try this place not just for the beer but also the food.

Great beer, great atmosphere and just next door to the Belvedere. The ribs were a bit dry, sauce was good though. Not expecting a European restaurant to ask for tips - at least other Vienna restaurants that I went to did not do so. Rather a touristic restaurant.

This people are not selling only the food, they are selling also history. It is a nice place. Good food ( not great like I was expecting) and very nice beer. If you want to go by tram the station is in front of the building.

My wife and I had a dinner at this place on a recent trip. We had a wonderful experience and time at the Salm Brau! Food was good, service was quick, beer was fresh and tasted great! People on other tables were celebrating! It felt home away from home. We highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!

The restaurant is right next to the Belvedere, it’s very convenient for you after a museum trip and want to have dinner in the same area. The staffs are friendly, they wear traditional clothes. Highly recommend booking a table prior because it’s crowded. The food is great, we cannot finish a huge pork knuckle for 2. If you have seats in the yard, there’s absolutely no electric sockets for your phone charger, but can ask the waiters.

It is a very good beer restaurant with a beer garden where they serve their own beer, and the beer is excellent. The food is also good, the portion is big, but for my taste, it was slightly over-salted. Anyway, it is still recommended to visit this place.
