Thought it would be great due to reviews. .. Eggs Benedict were cooked, almost hard boiled :( bread was white.. just no, the whole breakfast doesn't taste so good. Eggs need to be perfected so yellow part flows out, bread needs to have own taste, best use dark bread, not plain boring white toast without any taste. Additional disappointment are smoking patrons, I came to enjoy taste of food and got mouthful of second hand smoke, disgusting.

Best breakfast we had in Vienna. The service was very friendly and fast. The food options were limited but all good. We ordered tea 5/5: organic earl grey. Cafe melange 5/5: with oat milk and came fast Egg Benedict with salmon and avocado, another with bacon 5/5: even though it came on a big toast not English muffins it was great, the avocado on the toast was spot on, and the hollandaise sauce was the best we've tried. Quiche Lorraine 5/5: good portion and with arugula salad on the side. Pancake with bacon and maple syrup 5/5: the kids loved them I totally recommend this place and would like to visit again.

The egg Benedict was so tasty! I got there when the kitchen was closed, it was a holiday weekend and most other places were closed too. The lady was very kind to fire up the kitchen just to make me the egg Benedict. It was very tasty and fulfilling, both the food the their service. I’ll go again when back in Vienna!

Bumped into this place by chance. But absolutely fell in love with the vibes and the energy of the lady who was running the place. The breakfast menu was so nicely done. The service was great and swift. The place had a vibrant ambience and of course the food was enjoyable. Not to forget, they speak English so it’s easy to get around. I fell in love with the coffee mugs they had. And Could you please give me some pointers on where you purchased them :)

We visited this place yesterday, because my boyfriend wanted to try your egg benedict. Very friendly stuff, tastefull egg benedict and pancakes. Nice served and it was quite quick even the restaurant was full. Egg benedict was cooked well it was not runny, for me it was not a problem, because I do not like poached egg, but my boyfriend was a little bit disapointed, he expected the yolk not to be overcooked, hollandaise sauce was very very good. Eggs Benedict on a pancake was arguably one of my favorite dishes in my trip to Vienna. A classic staple, with a surprisingly good twist!

They have very nice eggs dishes for brunch but service is a bit slow specially on Sunday as not many places open around and the quality here is good. Overall is a good place to recommend.

The eggs pendant is super delicious. The pancakes are good in general. Clara was really nice and hospitable.

Very convenient location near the metro, the cafe is located in a cozy place away from the main noise of the market. The room is rather small, there are only 2 or 3 tables at which one could sit comfortably, but there are several cozy tables on the street. The food is simple: poached eggs in molds and slightly overcooked, pancakes seem to be purchased. But everything is delicious! The products are fresh and of high quality, the presentation is beautiful, on stylish dishes. It can be seen that the staff is trying to make everything as good as possible. Due to the fact that the cafe is small, it is better to book a table in advance, but this will have to be done by phone: we first tried to write on the social network, but we were not answered.

The service was awesome! The waitress was kind and efficient. The food was excellent with lots of flavor and fresh. I also liked the location.

It’s been lovely to try the food at the place. Service was a little bit slow (too many people for just one girl working), and food was very nice (one of the best Benedict eggs I have ever tried, and I am quiet picky). I gave it 4 stars cause prices are a little bit higher than in Spain so I found the place expensive and -just 2 eggs, 1 toast, avocado, some cheese and sauce almost 14€- and we waited for the breakfast with the coffee more than the time we spent eating it!

Best Eggs Benedict I've ever had. The coffee was excellent and the staff were attentive and polite. It was a wonderful experience and I can't recommend the Hollispeck enough.

This is a small cafe with a lot of charm, we went for coffee and it was wonderful. The hazelnut latte and cappuccino were so good! The service was very good as well. Very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend

Truly say I didn’t expect anything from the cafe placed on a market (yes it’s prejudice). The place itself is amazing, deco is simple but with a good tasty, employee was so kindly and offered a great brunch for us. Eggs Benedict is insane there. You’d better try if you’re there.

DO NOT order the pancakes, I saw photos and saw 4.6 stars without reading the reviews first. Some of this reviews are clearly fake and the ones stating the pancakes are store bought, meaning frozen and just heat up are correct. They are thin, rubbery, hard to cut not freshly made at all ..

Besides having the best coleslaw i have had in my 20 years in Vienna, the atmosphere of the place is super. A mix of locals and ex pats all enjoying lovely food and drink outside on a summers eve. Thanks Solas team!

Found Solas to be a very nice spot for food and drinks. A nice menu in all, with excellent coffee and cake. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive.

Cute breakfast spot! Even though you can only get poached eggs here (there are no scrambled eggs or omelets on the menu) I was very satisfied with my granola and pancakes. You must order pancakes here - they are so fluffy and delicious!! Coffee was delicious too! The owner of the cafe is running the show and is taking orders/ prepares/ sets tables and you will barely wait for anything.

A great place to have an amazing breakfast/brunch with service/quality on point! Service makes you feel welcome and at home. Had a small chat with the lovely owner and she is doing a great job with her team, perfect synergie! I would highly recomend the Eggs Benedict with salmon and avocado. Located in the Vorgartenmatk, Solas is a little, cosy brunch place,whit a short but on point selection of food items. We had the salmon Egg Benedict and pancakes with maple syrup and bacon. Food was tasty and fresh. I would have liked it if at least some of the components were made to order, especially when it was not busy at all. As a professional chef I know very well the importance of „mise en place“ (food prep),but some things can still be made à la minute (to order)when not in rush hour. I will go again.
