The complex of palaces and gardens Belvedere is just a masterpiece. Two palaces (upper and lower), a complex of fountains, landscape design, a huge square. Therefore, this place is always crowded. Gorgeous art exposition of Gustav Klimt, including his most famous works. If you decide to see the palaces from the inside and see a collection of paintings, then it is better to take tickets online (the difference is noticeable). On Belvedere it is necessary to have at least 5-6 hours. It's worth to see it by own The buildings look amazing as well as the garden. Sculptures and fountains located along the paths are pleasing to the eyes. This is a must visit location in Vienna! The gardens are stunning in their elegance and memories of a bygone age abound in the architecture and layout. The views of the hills around Vienna are wonderful. You have beautiful water fountains to calm body and mind, and there's a lovely cafe at the Upper Belvedere where you can sit Thankyou for read our review

A beautiful palace to visit. The sun was shining and the gardens were beautiful! I would recommend you book tickets in advance as it can get very busy! If you love art, there’s plenty of beautiful portraits/works of art to admire! We particularly like the character heads! The palace itself is fantastic to wander around too!!

The location is incredible, and if you don’t want to buy the entrance just a walk around the gardens is worth the visit. The museum is not that big but the collection is good, with 3-4 standout works. The palace itself is also wonderful. Overall I think it’s the number one thing you have to visit in the city

Absolutely stunning palace. If you are short on time, do just the upper palace. Keep in mind entry is per the time given for your ticket. They don't take you in early and only give you a 20 minute window if you are delayed. The exhibitions are on three levels and it takes at least an hour to see each of them properly, 90 minutes for each level if you want to do justice to the beautiful paintings, sculptures and the rooms of the palace. The lower level has medieval and modern art if that's your thing. The gardens between the palaces are lovely too.

There are many beautiful parks in Vienna and each of them captivates with its unique beauty. No wonder this palace complex, built in the 18th century as a summer residence for one of the greatest commanders of his time, Prince Eugene of Savoy, is called in Italian - Beautiful view. The Upper and Lower Belvedere, together with the garden laid out around them, form a magnificent baroque ensemble. On May 15, 1955, the Austrian Declaration of Independence was signed in the Upper Belvedere. The Upper Belvedere Palace houses a small but very valuable collection of paintings by Gustav Klimt and the impressive painting Napoleon Crossing the Alps by Jacques-Louis David.

The Belvedere is a historic building complex in Vienna, Austria, consisting of two Baroque palaces, the Orangery, and the Palace Stables. The buildings are set in a Baroque park landscape in the third district of the city, on the south-eastern edge of its centre. It houses the Belvedere museum.

This is a must visit location in Vienna! The gardens are stunning in their elegance and memories of a bygone age abound in the architecture and layout. The views of the hills around Vienna are wonderful. You have beautiful water fountains to calm body and mind, and there's a lovely cafe at the Upper Belvedere where you can sit indoors / outdoors and relax whilst contemplating life in Vienna. In addition, last, but certainly not least, you have the Gustav Klimt exhibition and the palace itself. Time well spent, I'd say!

We were fascinated by this incredible piece of Vienna’s history. Upon entering from the main gate you have this huge space with a lake and manicured flower beds. At the entrance of the museum you must deposit your backpacks in a special room at the "bag storage" and you can choose which direction to take first. The visit inside the museum has no time limit, you can go inside for as long as you want. It really is a must-see tourist attraction. We recommend making tickets online so you can skip the line at the ticket office.

*Note, I didn’t go into the Museum. This is about the gardens. I didn’t feel like going to see “The Kiss” which is the main reason you go to this Museum. The gardens are absolutely spectacular. All three levels of them. The bottom level is fun to kind of walk through the hedges and find a little spots. Some of them have sculptures and some of them just have park benches but you don’t know till you enter. The two main fountains are beautiful and super picturesque one side you can see the beautiful palace on the other side you can see Vienna making both sides beautiful in different ways. You can easy spend a good 2 hours just walking and enjoying the gardens

The place is beautiful! There is a bus stop right outside. You have to buy tickets for a specific time slot. We visited at December and it was really crowded. The paintings are marvellous but the place is very noisy- there is not any respect to the place or the art and we couldn’t admire them in peace. The gardens are huge but we visited after snow had melted so there were muddy. Probably spring will be a better time to enjoy the gardens!

This was a stunning museum I would really recommend visiting. Getting tickets online in advance is preferable however if you don’t you can have a lovely stroll around the gardens outside. We only visited the Upper Belvedere which was stunning in itself - especially for the amazing Klimt collection but I would love to visit the Lower part next time.

Totally cool place to visit and see the architecture. The statues were very well done and detailed. The cafe was busy but looked like they had good food. There were people also taking wedding photos here which I thought would be a nice background. A very cool place to visit with historical relevance.

A must visit place in Vienna. This is not just a palace, but it exhibits many of the best Austrian art pieces and collections. I was happy to see some of the best works of Gustav Klimt and many others. Renting an audio guide (5 euros) did really help understand artworks. I spent almost 3 hours here, and it is worth it. Very crowded especially in a room where they exhibit Gustav Klimt works. Highly recommend.

2hours to see all floors. Klimt, Egon schiele and Sisi are the best. Also, the view from the museum is nice. Ticket office is near the entrance of the park not in the upper museum. Audio guide is 5 €.

The Vienna Belvedere is a beautiful place where you can walk around this fantastic view of the castle and the park. Inside there is a nice collection or paintings and art that leaves you a feeling of disbelief. With a short walk you can go down and see the other part of the park where another great architecture hosts some art exhibitions. It is certainly a place that once again crowns Vienna with a jewel

Belvedere palace is a place that combines beautiful water fountains with a huge and beautiful garden. One can really spend some time here and there is furthermore, an art gallery to visit as well. At the bottom of the hill is another part of the palace with a coffee shop to sit and relax. It is undoubtedly a special place to visit, and should you visit Viena, make sure not to miss this palace. Be prepared to walk a lot though.

An impressive palace, split into Upper and Lower, in baroque style architecture. Both buildings are now art museums but have a long history tied to the state of Austria. The famous Austrian painting “The Kiss” can be found in the Upper Belvedere. You can get combination tickets for both buildings for around €25, otherwise it is possible to walk around the gardens for free.

A wonderful experience as expected. An amazing building in stunning park. Baroque windows. Paintings clearly described in English. It is here that you can see the Kiss and other paintings by Klimt. We purchased our tickets online, which do require picking a time slot. We could stay there all day.

Lovely gardens with a panoramic view over the city. It has lovely alleys to walk and enjoy both nature and the Palace. Also, Belvedere Palace is one of the most beautiful buildings in Vienna, it hosts one of the best Klimt's arts, the Kiss, which is stunning in reality. Save some time to also visit the Botanical Gardens which are next to the Belvedere Palace, the entry is free and the landscape is wow, it doesn't seem like you are in the city anymore. Totally recommended!

(Translated by Google) On the first day after arriving in Vienna, I went to the Belvedere Palace on the 2nd day and then to the Belvedere Palace on the 2nd day. Of course I saw Klim, a popular work to see the paintings of Klimt, as many people like to see Mona Lisa in Paris' Le Bourg museum. It was difficult to see. The picture that there was never been taken out of the country. The new fact is that Klimt, who knew only with the decoration of gold leaf, painted a lot of landscape paintings. Having spent some of the year at AtterSee in Salzkammergut, he painted a landscape there, later marveling at the size of the lake, riding the Aptese lakeside roads along St.Wolfgang (largest of the Salzkammergut lakes) (Original)

The Staff is super friendly and helpful, their prices are more than fair. The beauty of this place is something to behold, even during winter when the flowers are not blooming. The field is enormous and the building is covered with amazing carvings and statues in true medieval style. In the mid of December, there is usually Christmas own market. With even entertainment for kids. You can buy Viennese snacks, souvenirs, decorations and home and personal items. Due to COVID, go with a COVID vaccine card, the police will be at the entrances to check.

We thought we were museumed out but turned out we had a great time here. There’s lots to see and holds a lot of history. This is where the famous “The Kiss” painting by Gustav Klimt is located, and you can get pretty close to it. It’s very big and you can easily spend 4 hours here if you booked to do the 3 in 1 (includes entry to Upper, Lower and Belvedere 21). The 3 in 1 is €29 and 2 in 1 is €26 per person on the day.

One of the must see places at Vienna. There is Upper Belvedere, Lower Belvedere and the gardens. The gardens are free to visit. There are spread tickets for upper and lower palace. The upper place ticket is $17, but you can get a 2 in 1 ticket for $24. The famous “The Kiss” painting by Gustav Klimt is on the Upper Belvedere. It’s a must see. Amazing place with masterpieces all around. We bought the tickets onsite and there wasn't a long queue. We bought tickets to the upper level and that too took a considerable amount of time to walk through. It's got very open rooms and I could stand in front of the famous paintings for a long time without it getting crowded. A must place to visit again and again.

Klimt's Kiss is actually the main reason why I chose Vienna as my travel destination after my conference. I went to the upper Belvedere and it made me feel it was worth coming to this city! It took me about 4 hours to visit the palace in-depth (almost listened to all the audio tracks). Definitely worth paying 5 Euro for understanding the history and the art. And I really love that they provided a wide variety of languages for the audio guide, even Cantonese one, which was a surprise as I didn't expect a German speaking country would have that. Listening to my mother language made me learn all the things better and more pleasantly. Whoever suggested making a Cantonese track, thank you so much! Also, the audio guide was easy and convenient to use. No headphone required and I liked that you use it just like your phone. As for the exhibitions, the number of exhibits might not be the largest, but all of them are great, and they're put in different interesting themes (female Secession artists, contrast between the rich and the poor, the two sides of war...). The Klimt's collection was beautiful and Kiss was really magnificent, shining under the light. The Klimt rooms were not as crowded as I thought (of course it would be slightly crowded, after all Kiss is one of the most famous Austrian masterpieces). Everyone could have the chance to get close and look into his magnificent works.

The biggest example of Baroque architecture in Vienna. The palace, which is a little far from the city, is divided into two. Better artifacts such as the belvedere up and down ... the palace above are on display. I am sure that the garden between the two palaces has lost its glory because it is winter months and it is very eye-catching in summer. Be sure to see paintings by Gustav Klimt on display in the Upper Belvedere. The famous painting of Napoleon Bonaparte on the Horse is here ... I would say it is a place to see. The upper palace and the lower palace are two structures. The Main Garden, the pools are a structure of sculptures. You can come across painting exhibitions. He built this palace on the land given to him by Queen Maria Theresa by Eugen.

The outside of the palace is way more beautiful than the inside; so if you are not a big fan of Gustav Klimt art maybe this palace converted into a modern museum may not be your cup of tea. The highlight of my visit was the book were the peace treaty was signed after World War I ended and also ended the AustroHungarian Empire. The outside gardens and fountains are beautiful. Also the views from Vienna from the Palace are highly recommended!

The first floor baroque art ceilings are just marvellous and I couldn't get enough of staring at them. U can also see other modern artists like monet. A lot of art to admire and a beautiful interior. Klimt's "The Kiss" is astonishing. I would recommend spending some time around Monet's and Klimt's rooms (3-4 rooms total). You should really consider if you want to enter or not: Disadvantages: - it's a small museum for a 20 Euro (2023 July) fee Advantages: - but you see Klimt's art - you might get also some good pictures in the palace Make sure Klimt's art is in the gallery, because sometimes it's traveling in other cities.

What a place!!! Go early, book before hand and head directly to the KISS before the crowds get there. Then you can enjoy the Palace at your own pace afterwards. Not sure I’d wholeheartedly recommend the lower palace, I’ve been a few times now and I think if I was to ever return I’d skip it.

Massive Palace and massive garden area. The architecture was unique and the maze garden took a lot of effort. The gallery inside was so satisfactory, especially the Gustav Klimt exhibits. There were a lot of people but it was not really crowded. A must-visit place in Vienna.

We only viewed the Upper Belvedere on a 12 hour layover in Vienna. Gustav Klimt is the obvious highlight of the Upper. However we enjoyed every floor. We did this last so had to power through but it was the perfect way to cap things off. Very easy walk from the subway (10 Min). If you have anything more than a4 hr layover, you can do this in and be back with plenty of time for your next flight.

Wonderful palace in Vienna, beautiful and well maintained gardens, impressive displays. The complex consists of 2 buildings, the smaller one is called "Lower Belvedere" and the largest one is called "Upper Belvedere". The Lower Belvedere exhibits sculptures from the Middle Ages. Upper Belvedere is a picture gallery that features the richest collection of canvases by the famous Austrian artist Gustav Klimt

I love that it shows other less popular paintings of Gustav Klimt - like the ones before he found his signature 'gold paintings'. It's profound to see and appreciate 'The Kiss' up close. The Lower Belvedere was closed when I visited.

This is a beautiful museum in a palace surrounded by gardens. My mother and I visited during the winter Christmas market season so it was freezing and nothing was in bloom but we did briefly walk the grounds and I can only imagine how lovely they must be in the spring and summer. The museum houses a huge collection of Gustav Klimt and has many pieces that are less famous and not as well-known. Additionally, I enjoyed the other artists they feature, namely the hall of faces which a couple hundred or so masks of faces in various expressions.

The main palace building used to be a summer home for a prince in 1700s and now a home for an art gallery. This gallery / museum is also home for Gustav Klimt famous collections such as The Kiss and also many paintings by Schiele, Van Gogh , Monet etc. Even though you’re not a museum fan, this place is worth a visit.

If the summer palace of Schonbrunn is more luxurious and extensive, it must be said that the Belvedere hosts an extremely interesting art museum, exhibiting, among others, some masterpieces by Klimt (including The Kiss) and Schiele. Moral of the story: you can't leave Vienna without visiting the Belvedere.

(Translated by Google) Italy-26 Vienna I have never had time to write about my feelings about the Vienna concert. Vienna is revered as the capital of music, but before I went to listen to it, I saw some people commenting on the concert on the Internet: it was for tourists, and the hall was so small that the musicians were not supposed to stand there performing. The mood is greatly affected because we have also bought tickets. We chose Schumbrunn Palace. As mentioned earlier, we bought it from a salesman who wanted to fight Chinese boxing with me. I remember that he said that the Orientals look very young, they can buy all student tickets, and they can take pictures, but they cannot flash lights. On the third day in Vienna, after visiting the museum and eating dumplings that night, we took the tickets to Xiongburun, where we met the beauty in the dressing room and Ah Fu wanted to get close to that girl. Before entering, Ah Fu made a lot of anti-sleep preparations. But as soon as the music rang, we were immediately attracted. The elegant command drives our vision. With one move of his hand, he immediately lets us know that the instrument is the protagonist at the moment; the ups and downs of his body pull the music up and down, and even our mood is driven. I used to think that the conductor is just an empty shell, an accessory to the band. That night, I really understood that he is the protagonist, the ecstatic person, and the performance is strong. Don’t be afraid to fall asleep if you don’t understand the concert. Actually, it's really exciting. Of course, the conductor also knows the effect, guiding us to beat loudly and loudly, and increasing our sense of participation. I could see the enthusiasm of the conductor dancing. Every emotional detail touched us. Two hours soon ended. We were so excited and eager to take pictures. The lights did not wait for us. Before leaving, I wrote "Bang" in Chinese and English in the guestbook at the door. Regardless of whether they read it or not, I just wanted to tell them that it was great and I was very moved. The only flaw is that the funny ballet can be saved, although it has a refreshing effect. As for netizens' comments, they are for tourists. I don't think it can be avoided. Because of non-holidays and many performances, the locals are easy to break up. In other words, many Taiwanese people go to the Forbidden City? If there are not many people in Taiwan, wouldn't it be worth seeing? The small venue is even more ridiculous. This is the performance hall of the "Former Residence" of Princess Sisi in Vienna. It has been preserved until now. How big do you hope it will become because of your expectations? Taste is the character of the heart, see others see wisdom. 2012•10•12 time 0052 freedom traveller (Original) 0052 freedom traveller

A sumptuous palace now used as a museum for some of the finest art in Vienna. The palace itself stands in a large park and gardens. Inside the palace is a collection of art, some from the medieval period, some from the Biedermeier period, and some masterpieces of Klimt and David and others. Most famously, Klimt’s most iconic painting, The Kiss, lies within these walls and is definitely worth seeing.

The Belvedere is a historic building complex in Vienna, Austria, consisting of two Baroque palaces (the Upper and Lower Belvedere), the Orangery, and the Palace Stables. The buildings are set in a Baroque park landscape in the third district of the city, on the south-eastern edge of its centre. It houses the Belvedere museum. The grounds are set on a gentle gradient and include decorative tiered fountains and cascades, Baroque sculptures, and majestic wrought iron gates. The Baroque palace complex was built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy. 🇦🇹

I think I visited for the last time about 3 years ago. This place left a really good impression on me while traveling to Wien. U can see Klimt's works, and the inside and outside of the palace are so pretty. It's good to take pictures. There is a cafe on the 1st floor or the 1st basement floor where u can have a simple meal, and the taste was good. The admission fee was about 15 euros, and it remains at that price. U need more than half a day to see the palace properly. I want COVID-19 to end quickly and go back. See ya~~~:)

One of the highlights of visiting Vienna, besides the Schönnbrun, would be this one. It's a lot smaller but also more manageable. Also because it's no longer a palace ita museum, one can roam around free, and admire all the lovely paintings, some of which like the famous “Kiss” by Klimt, and many more. The gift shop has some lovely things and the Cafe is very good too.

Beautiful castle close to Vienna city center surrounded with a very nice gardens. About 20mins walking from Opera. There is a big gallery inside, unfortunatelly with a long waitting time for visitors.

Fantastic museum with a great collection of art pieces (including The Kiss). The interior of the palace is beautiful and you have great views to the city from the inside and from the gardens.

Beautiful! We really enjoyed it! The museum is definitely a must see of the city: the architecture is astonishing, and also the art pieces are magical. Klimt's pieces are just breathtaking.

Only did the Upper Belvedere due to time constraints. The place itself is beautiful and the collection is large. I recommend to take the audio-guide for the extra-price as it's well made and give you good explanation on top of seeing the paintings.

I visited Vienna in September. The Autumn skies added a romantic touch to the gardens and the botanic park. Like lots of art lovers, my main focus was on "The Kiss" by Gustav Klimt, in addition to a lot of other beautiful pieces of his and other artists, in the upper Belvedere. The gardens were beautiful, lots of flowers, just walked around and enjoyed the view.

Worth the visit. It would take w few hours to get round and properly see all the art in the museum but there is a vast range of differing pieces from various time periods- so something for everyone. As well as paintings there are sculptures and the gardens themselves make for a lovely visit if you aren't keen on art and want to visit inside.

The Belvedere Palace is an architectural masterpiece that left me awe-inspired during my visit in 2018. Situated in the heart of Vienna, Austria, this historic complex exudes an air of grandeur that truly transports you back in time. My experience at the Belvedere Palace was nothing short of extraordinary, and I can't wait to return someday. The first thing that struck me was the sheer beauty of the palace's exterior. The two Baroque-style buildings, Upper and Lower Belvedere, are connected by splendid gardens and adorned with intricate sculptures. The immaculately maintained green spaces and vibrant flowers created a serene atmosphere, providing the perfect setting for leisurely strolls and photo opportunities. Once inside, the art collection housed within the palace was an absolute treasure trove. The Belvedere is renowned for its impressive array of Austrian art, including the world's largest collection of Gustav Klimt's works. Standing in front of Klimt's iconic "The Kiss" was an unforgettable moment, as the colors and details of the masterpiece truly came to life. The palace's interior is equally captivating, with lavishly decorated rooms and halls that showcase the opulence of the Habsburg dynasty. The intricate frescoes on the ceilings and the luxurious furnishings are a testament to the wealth and cultural sophistication of the era. Throughout my visit, I was deeply impressed by the staff's knowledge and passion for the palace's history. Their guided tours provided valuable insights into the lives of the aristocracy and the artistic significance of the exhibited works. They were also accommodating to questions and made the entire experience enriching and engaging. In conclusion, the Belvedere Palace is an absolute must-visit for anyone traveling to Vienna. It's a remarkable blend of art, history, and architecture that will leave you mesmerized. The timelessness of the exhibits and the sheer grandeur of the surroundings make this a destination worthy of every art enthusiast's bucket list. I cherish the memories of my visit to the Belvedere Palace, and I wholeheartedly give it a five-star rating.

It's is one of the most beautiful and famous places in Vienna. The view is amazing here. The garden is well maintained and looks very beautiful. It's a great place for walking and hanging out. Besides walking 🚶‍♀️ you can enjoy the typical Vienna coffee here and you can also go to the museum where you can take a look at the original "The Kiss" painting 🎨 . I would recommend it to visit , when you are in Vienna or around.

Sooo much to see! Come with the comfiest shoes you can and possibly don’t make a lot of plans that day. It’s beautiful, the ceilings are another level. It is a must. The garden is gorgeous. Take the combined ticket, it’s worth it!

The palace is really beautiful, and the gardens around it are nicely designed for a pleasant walk. They've arranged everything well. Just remember to check when the palace is open before you go. That way, you can enjoy both the stunning palace and the lovely gardens to the fullest. It's a great way to spend your time!

Amazing palace!! I visited here during noon. It has amazing view. Not just the walk around, you can simply sit there and enjoy your time with family, friends or your partner. It has very mesmerizing view. You'll definitely collect so many memories from here. Highly recommended!!

The best castle ever. So much outside as in the inside. Very well organised and a beautiful story of Austria. So many popular and known paintings. Totally recommended

The palace is beautiful, but nothing special compared to other places in Vienna, like the Schönbrunn; the same could be said for the garden. The exhibitions, are way less interesting than what you can find at the Albertina (or other museums for that matter). The only reason to go is if you want to see The Kiss from Klimt. A plus is that the under 20s enter free of charge. All in all I wouldn't recommend it.

A lot of fun, very good exhibit pieces and a special experience getting to see the kiss and other famous painting. Make sure to get your tickets in advance to avoid being disappointed, but if you are going, I could not hype this place up enough, although expect walking!

Very historic and beautiful place. I bought tickets online for upper belvedere. Was disappointed that you had to pay for audio guide. Also the garden is beautiful but no as well maintained- some weeds and areas that needed some work. Last, it was surprising that with such little shade on a hot day, people were not allowed to sit on the grass under trees . There was a worker with a badge who was going around and asking pol to stand. Overall the inside exhibits and galleries are beautiful! I was quite impressed by the details I learned about Austria’s history and especially that Austria and 4 other countries signed Austria’s independence treaty in this building in 1955. Later shown from the balcony on that day. Rich history and beautiful architecture.

A beautiful architectural marvel which houses 'The Kiss' painting. Additionally, there are many other impressive art pieces here as well as huge grounds which are fun to roam. It requires half a day too see everything and I suggest buying tickets online.

Beautiful building with gorgeous garden! Bought ticket only to the Upper Belvedere as I'm a massive Klimt fan. It was a bit busy but still managed to go through the gallery without being too bothered. Only one bathroom (single stall) for the entire building was a bit underwhelming, or did I miss something? :/

A very lovey Palace-Museum. A large garden and a nice view. Although I am not a fan of art I love some of the art pieces, very exquisit. I do recommend it, the Palace has kept some of its imprint, walls or ceiling, absolutely gorgeous. Pictures can be takened without issues.

An Amazing gallery to visit featuring work by my favourite artist Gustav Klimt. Gardens ,and the views from the Palace are stunning. Well worth a visit.

  • 5/5 Jerry C. 6 months ago on Google
A stunning array of art in an architectural masterpiece set among beautiful formal gardens. Does it get any better than this? I don't think so. We were there in mid-September, and it was not crowded at all. The galleries are well arranged, and some of them are in beautifully decorated rooms that give an impression of what the palace was like in Imperial days. Don't miss the museum in the smaller building at the base of the garden walk as it has some great art work, too.

My visit to Belvedere Castle in Vienna was a captivating journey through both art and history. This splendid palace, with its magnificent architecture and stunning gardens, is a true gem in the heart of the city. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the incredible collection of art housed within the castle. The Upper Belvedere, in particular, showcases an array of masterpieces, including works by Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele. These paintings are not only artistically significant but also culturally and historically important. The beautiful gardens, with their meticulously landscaped design, provided a serene backdrop for the castle. The views of Vienna from the terraces were absolutely breathtaking, making it a picture-perfect spot. The staff at Belvedere Castle were informative and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply seeking a taste of Austrian culture and history, a visit to Belvedere Castle is a must. It's a cultural treasure trove that offers an unforgettable and visually stunning journey. I highly recommend it to anyone exploring Vienna.

Very impressive grounds and buildings - worth a trip just to walk around outside. Of course, the main attraction is Klimt's "The Kiss", but there are many other wonderful works of art. It's not as large as some other galleries and as such, it only took us about an hour and a half to look around. We went towards the end of the day and it wasn't too busy. We had the Vienna Pass and couldn't see how to pre-book tickets on line, so went to the ticket sales on the day to find out we didn't need a ticket and to just show the Vienna Pass at the main entrance.

soo amazing! really beautiful gardens to walk through, palace is gorgeous, loved the klimt collection. there is also a student discount. don’t need to get tickets ahead of time, but i might recommend going earlier in the day since it got a little busy later. not too crowded, though.

Beautiful place. We entered the garden for free, where you can admire the entire beauty of Belvedere palace. On one side of the building there is such a cute, elegant place where to have a coffee or drink with delicious cakes aside - accessible, prices are affordable.

Well what can I say about this place, absolutely spectacular with breathtaking views and the décor is so beautiful. All I will say is book in advance for this trip otherwise it could be fully booked. The Christmas market outside the palace was awesome and the walks around the gardens and grounds were amazing. Highly recommended A+++ The most sort after place to visit in Vienna

We took a guided tour. Personally, we're not enthusiasts. However, with the guide, we found out a lot about the history of the Palace and the family who lived there. This is definitely for those who love art galleries. There are no other things to see. Enjoyable non the less.

  • 5/5 Los N. 4 months ago on Google
Definitely worth the visit. You can easily spend a few hours between the two separate buildings and the garden. The garden is quite large and beautiful and the architecture in the second building is stunning!

Being in Vienna and not seeing the Belvedere is like not eating a Wiener schnitzel. The symbol of the city, it consists of the Lower and Upper Palaces, which hide amazing masterpieces of art. Beautiful and well-kept gardens where you can walk and enjoy the views. I also recommend visiting the botanical garden, there is a nice collection of cacti. In my opinion, it's worth visiting the Belvedere Palace, a wonderful historical place which I recommend at least 5-6 hours to explore. I recommend buying a ticket only for the lower and upper Belveder, you don't need to buy a combined ticket for Belveder 21, because it's a not very interesting museum of modern art, you can visit it in 5 minutes.

Great palace and museum with wide selection of paintings. I recommend visiting in spring or summer because of the gardens that will look much prettier than in winter. Some of the best Gustav Klimt’s paintings are kept here.

One of the best art museums I've visited. The castle is beautiful, and the artwork, especially the Klimt paintings, are outstanding. Highly recommended!
