Very easy to get to using the subway (U4 Schwedenplatz). This place has existed for a long time and serves most of the Viennese classics. The food quality is really good. Seating is possible inside or outside.

Highly recommended! This place is nice and cozy and the waitresses were friendly. Everything we ordered was amazing, especially the #5 pancake and the beef broth soups.

We came for the Kaiserschmarrn. We didn’t like it. Nor the regular or the gluten free (in the picture, made of corn) were anywhere near anything that resembles the authentic dish. We never give bad reviews for businesses who try their best making gluten free food, as we know there are challenges, yet this is an exception since we were wrongly given a regular dish instead of the gluten free one we ordered. Unfortunately the mistake was detected only after we already ate - without any compensation. Also, when we ordered the Kaiserschmarrn, there’s a small note which states two different sizes for the Kaiserschmarrn, we did not realize there are different sizes, so we did not ask for a specific size. Instead of asking, they just gave us all the bigger size, which is enough for 2 people. We do not recommend.

Kaiserschmarren was good but not the best I've had. Very expensive at €15 +. The waiter even asked for a tip. We don't need that garbage American tipping culture in Austria

I live in Los Angeles and came to Vienna on a vacation. Someone I work with is from Vienna and when you asked him for any recommendations the only thing he recommended in the entire city was this restaurant. The food was excellent and I am very happy I followed his recommendation. The menus offers everything Palatschinken. Savory and sweet. The waiters were very friendly and the service was great. We went here on a Friday night around 6pm and there were no tables available outside. I would recommend making a reservation.

I discovered Kaiserschmarrn here. It was delicious, I had the classic with plumb coulis and fruit. The portion is so huge that it’s enough for two if you’re not very hungry. The house lemonade was served in a small jar, I thought that was funny.

Unfortunately, a very upsetting service experience I have had. A woman server welcomed us lovely/friendly, and took drinks order. Drinks came swiftly, and we were enjoying looking through the menu. Then we were kept awaiting for a good 20min. My partner had to go up to the counter to get a server. Still none came for a good 5min. Then a male server (shaved/bold/tall/slim) assigned to the table blatantly ignored our eye contact, raising hand to try and get attention. The server and I made two eye contacts and the first time of which he blatantly ignored. After making a solid eye contact, he walked away to, and taking order from another guest who came in after us. ABSOLUTELY AVOID, if you don't wish to ruin your precious dining experience in Vienna. You have way more options in town than dealing with horrible service. I had to click one star to get this review/experience in but my actual rating would be ... well you can imagine. I really hope the owner will address this with the server. Absolutely the worst service experience I have ever experienced in my life. I will never come here again.

We loved everything about dessert!! It arrived freshly cooked and hot. The taste of fruit and vanilla sauce was amazing. Portion was big so we shared this one with 2 person. It’s more than enough. And I think price was reasonable. It was my first time trying I am happy to try at there. There are couple of thing that I saw which may can be improved. First, place wasn’t clean enough even my coffee mug. We consider too go or sit than we choose to stay. Secondly, I don’t like the coffee taste too. I paid 4€ which it’s too much for that coffee. It wasn’t good at all. Lemonade was good. Thank you,

Excellent food and very quick, too! It's a very pleasing surprise because it seems to be mostly a locals' restaurant. We enjoyed every minute in it and we'll probably come back. I recommend making a reservation beforehand.

The rolled stuffed pancakes were excellent I had the pesto and the spicy minced meat one. For dessert we had the fluffy pancakes. The service was not great but if you love a good pancake please try it.

their kaiserschmarrn with apples was very good, but that's about it. almost €7 for a pancake that was doughy, spätzle were billed that were less than enjoyable, it's extremely loud and warm inside the restaurant, there are no windows, guests walk in and out without being told to wear masks, the service is slow, there are flies and the tight crammed spaces make you feel on the edge of claustrophobic. the photos of the inside of the restaurant are misleading- the majority of their interior is very dated and reminiscent of grandma's dining room.

Nice environment. Pleasant servants. Quite big portions. Tasty beers. I recommend Vienna style beef served in a pan. A boiled shoulder cut beef with a bit of bouillon. It comes with a spinach and fried potatoes and onions. Nice dessert options.

The worst restaurant we met in vienne. We ordered viennese kaiserschmarren and salzburg topfenschmarren which should have been more fluffy. They brought us the same things. The strawberry milkshake was a huge disappointment, tasted awful. Dont recommend. The taster portion was enough. We didnt even finish it. Cant imagine to eat the pan portion.

I always recommend this place to Guests! I live here 4 years and still come here regularly, this place has a whole culture to it! One of the best places to get Kaiserscharrn and all kind of sweet Austrian dishes. They nail it every time!! Best thing: Kitchen is open until 22:00!! So great for a evening snack or date :)

MUST GO!! Wonderful food and service. One of the best meals I had in Austria. The food and wine is authentic and delicious. The Kaiserschmarrn is better than Cafe Demel and less touristy.

absolutely love love the crispy pancakes here! have been coming here with various friends and family for a couple years now. I had an awful experience with a staff here one time, she was so extremely rude I think we talked about it for a year. But anyway, enjoy the food!

Really delicious restaurant with austrian cuisine. The staff was really helpful, food was great. They have in offer soup/dessert + main meal for 16€, which is good price compared to other restaurants in the center of Vienna. Would recommend.

Generous servings of schnitzel and pancakes, with decent taste. Service was very friendly, and price was not too expensive. Worth a visit.

Very characteristic restaurant, typical Austrian food, very homely atmosphere, if you want to savor a simple but at the same time original menu. Excellent prices for the food received. I recommend the beef soup. Recommended restaurant

Good dining experience for me. The food was good. I liked the beef pancake and dessert. The pumpkin soup, in particular, I liked it most. Highly recommended!

My wife and I just had the most amazing authentic original Austrian Schnitzel in Vienna. Great place and friendly staff.

The food was amazing. We wanted to try something very traditional and what we were recommended was really good! The service was great too, everyone was incredibly nice. We were too full to try the deserts unfortunately but definitely will be back there again and try it next time. A must-go if you are in Vienna! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Restaurant that specialises in Kaiserschmarren - a typical Viennese desert of pancake pieces and plum sauce and jam. Good service. Enjoy with schnapps !

Frankly, we were expecting a bit more from the best schmarren in Vienna. Not bad at all! And definitely worth the visit. Surprisingly, the best pancakes were not the sweet ones. 😍

Best place to stop for a treat. They have a great variety of flavors for different Austrian pancakes (schmarren and palatschinken) as well as the Schnenockerl. Quick service and kind staff

Authentic place in the hidden corners of Vienna. It serves a rich variety of classic Viennese and Austrian dishes. You’ll have the option to chose between the portion sizes, if for example you only want to taste-try anything. Otherwise the portions are very filling, we even had to wrap it up, because we couldn’t finish it.

We have only tried the Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancakes) and it was lovely ! I definitely reccomend.

Nice place with interesting menu options. Portions are rather large. Prices reasonable ($75 for four people). Taste wise wasn’t the greatest but it was good enough. Worth a try.

You must get the schnitzel here! I grew up in a Slovenian household so schnitzel was a staple, but I have never had it this crispy before! The potatoes had a little too much butter for my liking but the parsley added a nice touch! Overall, I will probably be going to bed dreaming about this meal for the rest of my life…so yeah check it out!

Sitting outside in a quiet picturesque street. Delicious and very generous Styrian Chicken with potato salad and lemon. Also veal cutlet (like schnitzel). Menu full of other Viennese dishes.

Schnitzel and pancakes were perfect- traditional Austrian food at a good price! However service really lets this place down. Although the waiters are nice we felt ignored for very long periods of time. Even when we tried to make eye contact we felt ignored! May of been because it was a busy night but it just took so long to get served or have our order taken. People around us were having no trouble so was a bit confusing!! Again food was good so would say it is still worth a visit.

So I tried food from Austria, looks like German food. Personally not really my kind food so I can’t really tell if it’s really good or just alright. Hubby liked his schnitzel.

The place is nice and cozy with a lot of choices of ways to eat pancakes. We got traditional Kaiserschmarrn and were a bit disappointed because it was not at all sweet. We also got a second dessert that was sweeter and tastier. However, both dishes were really heavy. It is something nice and interesting to try. It just depends on your own taste whether or not you will like the meals. The staff is really friendly and helpful.

Nice place inside the corner close to city center. There are several Austria / Vienna desert. Not too sweet with the jam and source. It will be a bit too large for one person per dish. If you haven’t tried before, it’s good to try. But it’s a bit pricy, around €15 per dish.
