👍👍 Wine list soothes my mind, must visit just for that. Super lovely and joyful staff, unfortunately we were on a tight schedule (personal, not by restaurant) so couldn't bring out the full potential of the place, but we left happy and definitely we'll be back next time! Fabolous restaurant in Vienna. Our family tried its 6 course chef menu as well as 2 other hot dishes (game meat patties and sturgeon with cauliflowers). The food was delicious! My parents absolutely loved the variety. Everything was presented beautifully and the staff was very attentive and informative, taking extra effort to educate us about the dishes when he served them to us. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced for a main course (even lower than some other restaurants we tried in Austria despite its evidently better quality), bread with butter to share (amazing!!), and a glass of wine. Would recommend to anyone visiting Vienna for a few days! Definitely will come again if we revisit the city.

We had the fixed price Valentines Day dinner. The food was immaculate, fresh, beautifully prepared and delicious. A variety of local ingredients: beef tartare, carrots & shitakes, beets & smoked salmon trout, catfish & sweet potato, veal & broccolini, chocolate ice cream with hazelnut torte. Portions were manageable so you can enjoy the whole experience. If the offer you glass of house sparkling - take it! So delicious. We ordered a bottle of wine off the menu instead of doing the pairing. Got great advice and service.

Great experience for a lunch date at MAST during a recent trip to Vienna. Everything was presented beautifully and the staff was very attentive and informative. I am a vegetarian and my partner has a nut allergy, and neither restrictions were an issue. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced for a main course each, bread with butter to share (amazing!!), and a glass of wine. Would recommend to anyone visiting Vienna for a few days!

I loved everything about this experience. I was traveling solo and they did an excellent job to accommodate me (most people don’t usually eat alone…) they were extremely attentive and the food was excellent. Their recommendations for wines were wonderful as well. My only regret is not having more dinners available to me while in Austria. I would’ve definitely come back! Had two small plates and a warm dish and dessert. Their peach dish with feta cheese and lamb lettuce was the perfect combo of savory and sweet. The carrots with the crème fraiche and crushed pistachios was lovely. The neck of lamb extremely tender and flavorful with a side of eggplant that was perfectly charred on the outside, and dessert was the perfect ending. Highly recommend!!

Travelling solo is sometimes tricky, especially when going out for dinner to a place like MAST is.. this was not the case! I booked the very last minute, but the confirmation of the reservation came almost instantly. I have to say I enjoyed every single course, the art of food design is definitely on the super high level and the masterpieces are then served to your table. I paid solo approx. 90 EUR for the single dinner, but this was one of the best investments into the experience of food art. Congratulations on the stunning job! Definitely will be back.

A truly exceptional experience. We had the tasting menu and wine pairing. The pairings were thoughtful, and spot on, with an emphasis on Austrian wines. If they offer you a sparkling to start, branded with the MAST name, accept as it is amazing. Finally, let it be noted that this is an excellent destination for vegetarians. The dishes in general are vegetable forward, even when they include meat. An excellent example of this was a turnip and pastrami dish. They can make the tasting fully vegetarian, and I would recommend this, as my dishes were outstanding and clearly not an afterthought as I’ve experienced in other places.

Wine pairing. If you enjoy great food, add the wine pairing. Worth mentioning, the service is excellent, the staff is very knowledgeable AND approachable. A very comfortable, chic place with great food, and of course interesting and well appointed wines.

A lovely spot in Vienna. We sat outside and opted for the chefs menu with the wine pairing. MAST were very accommodating for one pescatarian and also for a request to have just local wines in the wine pairing - all of which were delicious and were poured generously!! Staff were very friendly and attentive and would recommend as a finer dining spot.

Everything at this place is as you would expect (given its price-range) and a bit more. The food comes in tapas-like portions and is delicious. The wine is excellent as well, the service is very good and the atmosphere is pleasant. Perfect for a date with your loved one or simply to enjoy the culinary creations.

Excellent restaurant ! Tasty and surprising food. Excellent wine as well (we chose by the glass). I would go for the surprise menue as it covers a good portion of the menue. We ordered extra dessert and were not disappointed. Very friendly and professional staff. Highly recommended!

We had the BEST meal at Mast. The service was exceptional, as our waitress so kindly walked through the menu and described how each dish could or could not be adapted to fit our dietary restrictions (one gluten free, one dairy free). The gluten free bread was some of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend the bell pepper with smoked trout, tomato and fennel, catfish and flank steak. The wine pairings were superb. The kitchen then went above and beyond and served us our own unique desserts - off the menu - to accommodate our allergies. A very special meal and I could not recommend more highly.

The king is naked is about this restaurant. Don’t let the ambience, the reviews, and. the wine list to fool you. The food is absolutely awful, with the exception of the bread, and the average main dishes. The boiled carrots with a kimchi wanna be was the ultimate disaster. The raw fish was an awkward combination that was too acidic and unbalanced. They served it with the dehydrated fish skin that was so hard and sharp, you could cut your mouth. I mean, who serves raw fish with dehydrated skin? The artichoke was awfully cooked and tasted like soap. I think that if you would add some salt to the soap, it could be more tasty. When I told this to the server, she called the manager and he started explaining me how this is Jerusalem artichoke. This is such bad customer care. I did not need my taste invalidated. It was just one of the worst meals I ever had, and the dude was trying to argue me on how it had Brussels sprouts like I have never had then before and was unfamiliar with the way they should have tasted. The worst part is they kept the woody kale stems in the main dish. What chef does not know that those are not edible? They were literally wood. They also served a boiled onion like it was the dish highlight. I almost puked when I tried it. The bottom line, people raving about this place have never had good food in their life, obviously. Just because it has a Michelin guide sign on its door, it doesn’t mean it’s automatically good.

The food was delicious! I liked the variety and a number of vegan options. The only thing is that I would not recommend experimenting with wine, as we went for the Austrian wine and it turned out very tannic, so we had to change for a French one.

The place is absolutely amazing, the food was delicious and the wine very good. The only thing is price, it could be not so high.

Simply a fantastic place, cozy and so great food. I recommend to order chef’s menu because this gives you the opportunity to taste nearly everything. Wine accompaniment is recommended because you get the opportunity to not only get a fitting wine but also taste wines from winerys that are not so well known. The team is so welcoming and nice and make your dinner a fantastic experience. Go there and enjoy every single minute. I’m sure you’ll love it.

One of my best restaurant experiences. Wonderful room, excellent service, extensive and delicious wine list with exceptional, creative but not over complicated food. All at a very reasonable price, will always return when in Vienna.

Greatly enjoyed the evening. Food was undoubtedly great. However, I only give it 4 stars as the male waiter let us feel his disappointment when we stopped ordering more food and drinks - don’t like pushy waiters who ruin your evening

A great but tiny gourmet dig at the far end if the inner city, easily accessibly by foot from St Stephen‘s church. Take the tasting menu with wine at roughly EUR100 - it‘s a steal that‘ll charm your Taste buds. Excellent if unusual wines , great food combinations and super friendly staff. Loved it! But you need to book a table in advance.

Mast Weinbistro is the place to go if you’re a wine fanatic (like me) and enjoy great local produce, skillfully crafted in a legere, low-key atmosphere. Nothing pretentious about Mast, everything here is completely thought through as we enjoyed this sense of calmness whilst drinking finest Jura wine and eating a selection of their main dishes. Fantastic! Price-value is fair. The only thing, the portion in the lamb belly could have been a bit more generous, nevertheless great, a dish with many textures, loved it.

Fabulous food and spectacular service. Each dish offers a surprise in taste and/or consistency. The chef manages to create a steep increase in taste throughout his menu ... the starters awake your taste buds, the mains hit full Monty and the desserts round off an amazing taste sensation. Cheep - no! Huge portions -no! But if you like delicate honest amazing food and service MAST is the place for you!

Every aspect of this dining experience was phenomenal. The friendly staff served us up a selection of wines through the evening, all of which were incredible, and the food was delicious, creative and exquisitely presented. The dish I found most interesting was the wheat foam, parsnip, and port dessert - unlike anything I've ever tasted and bloody good too.

We celebrated New Year's Eve 2023 and our 25th anniversary in January 2024 at MAST. Our expectations were exceeded by far. Matthias and Steve are accomplished sommeliers and gastronomers who expertly advised us on menus and created for our families and us unforgettable experiences. Outstanding, elegant dishes paired with excellent wine choices - trust the experts' advice! MAST is now a little tradition in our family and we will return any time when in Vienna! Thank you to Matthias, Steve, and their team.
