A pleasant musical evening at the home of Vienna's Mozart and Strauss with an ensamble of 8 to 10 players, opera singers and ballet dancers. No artist or musician should be judged but the head violinist was exceptional.

We had tickets for the dinner and concert combo. The dinner was very nice, and the concert of classical Viennese music, ballet, and opera was lovely and performed in a historic salon on the top floor.

Beautiful concert with music of Strauss, Mozart and other composers. We really enjoyed very much. It was one my bucket list dreams to go to Vienna and listen the famous waltzes and see the Viennese people dancing. I did it.

Very nice concert, you can buy tickets outside state opera.

Great location for events located in the park with big terrace. Classical music concerts are happening every day there.

No chance to go in and listen Lighting at night has a different style Located in the city park, you can stroll around the park in the morning. There are quite a lot of people and it feels good. I sat on the roadside for a while and watched the passers-by. I just happened to see a demonstration with demands.

Solid evening display, mostly Strauss. Opera singers were the highlight. Paying for and queueing for the cloak room was a bit of a drag.

We went to a concert that was meant to be Strauss and Mozart, tickets were €65 per person. Definitely a tourist trap, and overpriced. Extra charge of €2 to check in our coats, as coats not allowed in the venue, with no negotiations. However, despite the no pictures rule inside the hall, it was not monitored at all. Venue and seating was more like a school production. Music was varied, and had some contemporary pieces that seemed like random inclusions. Musicians fine, dancers a bit weak. Venue did have lovely chandeliers tho. Not recommended.

If salon then Kursalon. The catering comes from next door and coupled with the ambience it's an incredible duo. I'll probably celebrate my 60th there.

A must see, the statue is located in the same park

We highly recommend the concert! The music and artistry is wonderful! Unfortunately the dinner preceding was disappointing. Service was very slow and the staff seemed very stressed. Had to rush through our meal when it finally arrived. In addition, there was high traffic through a side door to an outside event with hip-hop style music, so the ambiance was destroyed. Enjoy the concert, skip the dinner!

Great palace. Not as epic as somewhere like Versailles but a pleasant surprise. Gardens have lots to explore. Some choke points indoors with tour groups can make it slow going and packed with people.

I usually don’t do such comments but after reading the other reviews I couldn’t resist to say: those who are completely about 2 euro cloak rooms after paying 100+ for a ticket, aren’t you ashamed of yourself???? You don’t deserve to be in such venues if 2 euro is a problem for you! Went there for the NYE Concert with fireworks and drinks after. Was a pretty decent concert, nothing wow but met the expectations. However, the drinks and fireworks and the party after was amazing! I cannot recommend it enough! The waiting time can be improved as there is no numbers on the seats and each person is personally directed to their seats, but overall pleasant experience.

One of THE best experiences you can get in Wien. The program includes not only music but also aria and waltz, and the team makes the whole program so enjoyable that at the end of the show you will be so satisfied. 한글요약: 부모님 모시고 가세요 최고에요 👍

This is a tourist trap. I’m glad some people were able to enjoy it, but frankly, it’s a poor & overpriced excuse for Viennese Opera / classical music performances. We paid €65 per person, with no set seating. Everyone was forced into handing over their coats to check them in, along with being forced to pay €2 euro per coat. We were yelled at for attempting to enter with our coats. There was a sign that the venue took no responsibility for personal belongings as well. Fantastic. The musicians were great, the soprano was good, the tenor was average and the dancers a little strange but fine. They announced songs in German and also English, which I wasn’t expecting but appreciated. Unfortunately at the end of the second act (which finished early) the entire audience was so highly strung to retrieve their coats, that each song resulted in a standing ovation in everyone’s attempt to get to the coat rack before everyone else. They had 2 people handing out coats for an audience of a couple hundred. Absolutely woeful. Would not recommend this to anyone. It’s an absolute scam.

We went there for a concert. High prices, poor seating, excellent concert. It was a bit chaotic when we arrived and it was not clear that we had to get local tickets using our on-line tickets

It was very beautiful with gardens and very fine state buildings here in Vienna. The music was lovely with a 9piece group orchestra soloists and dancers all very skilled and joyful in their performances

Went by myself when I had a few days in Vienna. I'm sure there are a few different sets of musicians that play, but the reviewers who are criticizing the musicians have no idea what they are talking about. The players were all top notch and it was inspiring how the first violinist led the group. Sure, the seats aren't the most comfortable, the mandatory coat check is a rip off for 1 euro, and the seating process is unorganized. But the music and performance is so good that you should just forget about all that. My session was about half full and the audience gave 2 standing ovations. An inspiring performance altogether.

We attended a Mozart + Strauss concert upstairs while high school students held a ball downstairs. We could not hear their ball at all - the sound was totally isolated. However, if there were toilets upstairs, they were not clearly marked - I went all the way downstairs to use the restroom. Very close to the subway!

Concert incredible, fun, excellent musicianship. Meal before concert only average, no vegetables, meat not quality.

Concert with nine musicians, two singers and two dancers. All excellent. Try to get near the front. The floor is flat so if at the back have limited view despite raised stage for performers..

Visiting a concert in Kursalon before Christmas is the best way to feel Viennese Christmas spirit.

Avoid buying the expensive VIP tickets for Strauss & Mozart concerts!! We paid for VIP tickets (x4) which, amongst other things, entitled us to free drinks. At the interval though we were made to pay for these, at a cost of 15 euros. Checking the tickets, I promptly asked for my money back, but the lady in charge of the bar, along with the evening’s duty manager steadfastly refused; the bar lady even seemed to find the whole incident quite amusing, especially when my wife became upset. I emailed the Kursalon Office immediately, receiving an apology the next day, along with a promise of the €15 being transferred into my bank account. If, after 4 weeks l hadn’t received it, l was told contact the Kursalon again. This l then did, not once by email but twice. Two weeks on, l’m still waiting for a reply and my refund. It’s clear that not only do the VIP tickets not do what they say they do, but neither does the Kursalon when promising refunds. An excellent concert spoilt by a bar lady entirely devoid of common sense and a complaints department not fit for purpose. Buy the cheaper tickets and avoid the distress we experienced.

Performance is nice and entertaining, caters to casual fans of music. But some staff are terrible, clearly untrained. And they ask some people to check their light jackets for 2 euros a pop. Yet I saw tour groups of 50 people coming in, half of them wearing jackets of some sort, and no one said a word. I guess it's just a business, not really a musical performace.

Must see in Vienna. This is the place where Johann Strauss conducted his concert in 1868. It is inside the beautiful Stadt Park. It holds daily Mozart and Strauss concert. A little touristy but fun like what they did 150 years ago. A lot of Strauss waltz with ballet dance an opera singing. I highly recommend this for your Vienna trip

  • 4/5 Anna Palleja F. 8 months ago on Google
Ideal concert for a tourist with little musical knowledge. There are singers and ballerinas, and the songs played are typical. It was great!

  • 5/5 Iglika D. 7 months ago on Google
Absolutely spectacular performances by the two opera singers and the ballet dancers. The orchestra was incredible as well. I recommend that everyone attends at least one performance here. The ambience and the service were also up to par. The only drawback was that they sold the Playbill for 5Euro.

Fully immersion into music of Johan Strauss and Mozart. Excellent performance

  • 4/5 Roberto D. 1 year ago on Google
Classic Vienna concert hall. Went on a tour, site guides were a bit overloaded but at the end did a great job. Definitively a must. Small negative points: (1) Long queues at the checkout (2) Lights too bright during the event (3) Many people taking photos and videos, degrading other viewers experience (noises, shadows, movements).

Lovely and something special if you watch concert (price for 2 adults €110)

  • 5/5 VK 1 year ago on Google
Loved strauss and mozart performance, fun for classic music lovers. many ppl were bored as they actually do not enjoy this music, they should not go and ruin other's experience. And dont take kids or teenagers, they do not appreciate and are loud, interrupting performance, yawning and sleeping, embarrasing.

Incredible experience! We bought the VIP seats and didn’t regret it one bit! A must do while visiting beautiful Vienna

  • 3/5 Naser A. 1 year ago on Google
The show was nice, unfortunately the obly reason they are getting three stars because of the MANDATORY coat-check, which you have to pay one euro for, and you whenever the show ended it was a long queue that takes at least 10 minutes.
